The fine dining experience was intimate and it was amazing
The fine dining experience was intimate and it was amazing to see the master in his craft. I highly recommend the course for any special occasion, such as anniversary, graduation, or a special treat. The service was highly professional and kind to us even after we spilled our water.

Hands down one of the best omakases iv ever had. Each dish was perfect and unique in its own way and were awarded with a Michelin star two years in a row for a reason. We were served an assortment of nigiri, with other hot dishes and each one flowed perfectly from one another. Some dishes we had included the chawan mushi egg with a light topping of truffle, Spanish Makerel, soft monkfish liver with wasabi on top, sea perch and fatty tuna. The interior was traditional yet modern with Kaws figurines spread throughout the room. The ambience added to the experience. We were asked if we preferred to eat the nigiri with our hands or chopsticks for it to be served accordingly. They change the menu daily, so you're sure to not have the same meal two visits in a row, giving this place great to return back for something new every time. Service was great as well. I might have finished one too many servings of ginger but every time without hesitation the chef would bring out more freshly cut. Food: 9.3/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 9/10 TIP: The entrance door was a bit hard to find as it was behind a small metal closure without a sign to address where it was at, but you'll know you're at the right place if you come across that.

Amazing and unique food. Excellent ambience and you can see the chef make the dishes in front of you. Very friendly service.

The staff is great and so well trained. Chef 715 is incredible. Yes it's pricey but it's worth every penny. Every single piece of sushi was melt in your mouth delicious.

I really like how the chef stays focused throughout the whole meal. Also, the sushi rice was really good, probably one of the best sushi rice in little toyko. It's understandable that people would complain about price, but I prefer quality over quantity.

I was most impressed by the ankimo, fatty tuna, and kohada. However, I noticed that the service was inconsistent between guests and left a lot to be desired. They took some diners' jackets while for others they either didn't notice or even bother to ask until later in the meal. The pours on their beers were also noticeably inconsistent between guests. I am generally not one to nitpick but for the price of $350-500+ a head, the service was anemic and overpriced compared to other Michelin-caliber omakase experiences I've had previously. To top it off, they forgot to refund my $705 deposit for a party of 4 and I had to call them and ask for it 2 weeks later. As good as the food was, this overall experience was a miss.
Be the first to ReplyReally disappointed in the food and experience.
The food is overrated and over priced. The fish is mediocre (definitely fresh) but there is much better sushi (and especially omakase) elsewhere. As mentioned, the rice was hard and reminded me exactly of the rice in Whole Foods sushi - not exaggerating. This may be traditional to do it that way but it was distracting with every piece and patrons made comments about it. The fish itself was fresh. There was not a single piece that wowed me or my partner. Staff very kind and ambience was great. Overall extremely disappointing food. Save your money and go to the better omakase in la. Unsure how this place got Michelin at all.

I'm not here to write an exorbitant review with useless words and bs that yelpers love. Here's the TLDR 1. Food was fresh, but very overrated. 2. $1k for 2 people for mediocre sushi with "hard" rice that is done this way on purpose apparently. I felt ripped off and insulted that this was the price point for okay sushi. 3. I've had much better omakase for 1/8 the price. 4. Staff and chef were very courteous and accommodating. 5. Ambiance was decent. Place sits 8 persons. Approx 2 hours for the courses.

One of the best omakase experiences I had in a long time! The spot is intimate and super clean. The best service and also everything we ate was so good and fresh! Would definitely come again.

From the moment you sit down until dinner ends 2.5 hours later, you're being fed different flavors that all complement each other. The food, while out of my comfort zone, was amazing. For example, I'd never willingly order barracuda anywhere but on the night we went it was one of the dishes served. Everything else had been delicious so when we got to barracuda, I thought, why not? It's really a different type of experience. Great food, great service, wonderful ambiance. Definitely worth a try .
Be the first to ReplyOmakase only with impeccable service and presentation.
It felt as though I was dining in Ginza Tokyo again. When we arrived, we had to wait outside until the allotted time for our reservation. The menu changes frequently so no point in describing each dish but everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Definitely get the sake and share with the staff as a thank you. One stall bathroom in the back for the entire party. Plan accordingly haha. Parking is difficult but it is in the arts district with plenty of paid lots and occasional street parking.

What a great experience! We celebrated our anniversary here and Chef Seigo and his team made it a dining experience we won't soon forget.

I felt like I was transformed and brought back to japan for close to 3 hours. There were a lot more cooked dishes than I would've liked, I wish there was more nigiri sushi since chef does an amazing job curing and highlighting the fish in its natural state. The sushi rice is phenomenal, perfect balance of vinegar and warm temperature. Everything melts in your mouth. The only con is...price point. I've been to many Michelin top rated sushi restaurants and I don't think I've walked away with a $1000 bill for two people (with no alcohol). At least not at this price point with so little nigiri sushi. We were full at the end, but wish there's an opportunity to fully experience the nigiri sushi. Would love to come again!

What an experience! Transform me back to Japan please :)The food - PHENOMENALThe service - UNPARALLELED The ambiance - SUBLIMEThe drinks - DELISHThe chef - LOVABLE The restroom - IMMACULATEWhat a wonderful time I had with my best friend dining here. I had ankimo in a far superior quality that I didn't even know existed. Throughout the night, my mouth and stomach battled my phone on who got to go first - eat or snap?Ultimately, I know how hard it is to get a reso, but highly HIGHLY recommend coming.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience.
I can't say any words. Chef 715( Seigo-san) is like an artist. I highly recommend you the best Omakase restaurant in L.A. Their Omasake( Omakase Sake = Sake parings) are amazing too. I'm sure we'll be back very soon.

This is possibly the best omakase experience I have ever experienced. I have been to many in LA and out of town, but Chef Seigo is one of the most humble and caring chefs I have ever met. He really cares about the quality of the food served and has a really good sense of humor when speaking to the guests. Throughout the experience, his staff was exceptionally polite and professional. They made sure our cups were never empty and made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole experience. One thing I will never forget is that after the first plate, the staff took a mental note that I was a lefty. Chef Seigo in particular placed my ginger on the left side of my plate to accommodate my left sidedness; it was barely noticeable but it was so humbling to see a chef being that observant and show that much respect to his guests. Overall, the quality of the food was spectacular. There wasn't a thing I did not like. Everything was very well prepared and delicately made. Thank you for this experience! It's no wonder he received a Michelin star within the first 3 months of opening! :)

Having been to a few other Michelin omakase restaurants and maybe hundreds of high end restaurants in LA I can really say 715 has the best omakase experience. While some of the courses are being prepared in front of you chef Seigo breaks down his fish in front of us which I rarely see any restaurant do. They normally have them pre sliced to save time during omakase. I can go on and on about how amazing the food is here from the house pickled ginger to the perfectly seasoned/textured rice but who has time to read all that. Other than the delicious food the vibes are fun and relaxing unlike the traditional experiences I've had in the past. His team also has wonderful hospitality and pay close attention to detail to cater towards each person. Pro tip: If you have trouble making reservations (he gets booked fast) check his instagram stories, sometimes he has last min cancelations.
Be the first to ReplyAMAZING food, service, and attention to detail.
Even the non-sushi dishes, like the mushroom soup, were ridiculous. Highly recommend.

What sets 715 apart from other high end sushi places is the perfect balance of cooked/non-sushi items vs. nigiri. This is probably the best omakase restaurant in LA at this price point and one of the most generous in terms of the number of items you get. I was almost hesitant to post this review given how inevitably difficult it will be to score a reservation as word gets out. Chef Seigo said the menu changes every day so I guess I'll have to be back as soon as possible!Loved the ambiance in here, and the staff were incredibly friendly and considerate. As of November 2022, they don't have their alcohol license yet so you can bring your own bottle for no corkage fee. There's a paid parking lot right across the street or street parking in the area (if you're lucky).
