The restaurant owner talked to me about how the chef was
The restaurant owner talked to me about how the chef was busy at the time so she handled the cooking for the twice cooked pork belly that I ordered, which is bad move because she didn't know how long it should be cooked. She promised me that the pork is definitely fresh, and she'll send me a free sample next time I order from them.
Be the first to ReplyThe Sichuan Style Roast Whole Fish was so good.
I am the person love to eat spicy food, I recommend Sichuan Tasty. They have a good dish size and fresh ingredient. What I ordered is the fish, Family Style Tofu and Chong Qing Style Chili Chicken. When you go to S.F you should try it!!!
Be the first to Replyfavorite sichuan restaurant in SF (since spicy legend
favorite sichuan restaurant in SF (since spicy legend closed some years ago)! the standard dishes that you can find anywhere (dan dan noodles, spicy wonton, garlic eggplant, etc.) are all good but they have some standout authentic chinese dishes that are harder to find. i LOVED the steam crab tofu egg yolk, so silky and comforting. their sour vegetable fish soup is also excellent, and my parents said the napa cabbage with dry shrimp was the best they had anywhere. their only complaint was that the sauce for the duck was too sweet. service was very friendly and usually there's no wait.
Be the first to ReplyI highly recommend this restaurant.
Rich flavors in every dish. Quite a few more unusual dishes for the adventurous. The food is consistently good with multiple visits. The lady (all by herself) running the front of the kitchen is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about her menu. And the price is very fair, not expensive at all. Again, I highly recommend this place.

Great food great services and every dish is wonderful crafted Their non-spicy food are wonderful as well so don't think you have to eat only spicy items The one I like is the egg yolk tofu The beef pancake and the fish with ham The service are wonderful and attentive too
Be the first to ReplySeriously great schezuan/sichuan/schechuan I'm not quite
Seriously great schezuan/sichuan/schechuan I'm not quite sure. Please feel free to IM me and give me a schoolingRegardless I've ordered here twice. But the last time we ordered food here it blew my mind. Got the tea smoked duck and I just hit nirvana. Got my standards of course. Pork fried rice and Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef is actually spicy as f#@k and really flavorful. Fried rice that is actually fried to perfection in a well seasoned wok. Crispy and flavorful. Absolutely no need for condiments. No need for additional soy sauce or chili oil. But that tea smoked duck...Just like little slices of Smokey, ducky candy. Once again I didn't mess around with the plum sauce that goes with it. You don't want to ruin that delicate flavor.I mean you can, but...Anyway I've only had food to go. Need to dine in next time. See how that plays out.The bar is set high my friends.
Be the first to ReplyLots of choices for the dishes.
Price is reasonable and service is good. Authentic Sichuan food.
Be the first to ReplyPretty tasty food in general.
I prefer to pick up or delivery as it seems more comfortable to me and mine.

Inside and out, it looks like the most basic of Chinese restaurants, but the food is very authentic Sichuan.

Been traveling throughout SF the past few days, and this restaurant had the best food out of all the places I've been. It was reasonably priced & super tasty! The service was also amazing & helpful in every way! We went during a weekday for lunch and it wasn't crowded, but I heard it can get busy at night. Must go!

I recommend their Chong Qing Style Chili Chicken,House Special Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, Spicy Dumpling, Spicy Wonton, Chongqing Spicy Noodles, General Tso's, and hot and sour soup. I can keep going. Be the first to ReplyA solid 5 stars for the 重庆辣子鸡 (Chong Qing Style
A solid 5 stars for the 重庆辣子鸡 (Chong Qing Style Chili Chicken) -- probably some of the best I've had in a while! Sichuan cuisine is hard to perfect at home without the right wok and heat levels, so I always turn to local Chinese restaurants to get my Sichuan fix. Having read a few other Yelp reviews, I decided to go for the Chong Qing Style Chili Chicken and the Steamed Tofu with Crab Meat and Egg Yolk (not pictured).I was initially a bit skeptical about the chicken as I tend to stay away from fried items when I order delivery/takeout. However, my order arrived piping hot and the chicken was still crispy when I took my first few bites. The flavor of the chicken was phenomenal -- super authentic with a good level of spice and flavor, while not being overly salty. It also wasn't super oily despite the amount of oil that was undoubtedly used in the cooking process. I was too lazy to heat up my leftovers in the oven or with an air fryer, but even without the crispiness, the chicken was still so good!!The steamed tofu was underwhelming compared to the chicken, though still solid. I would've preferred a thicker consistency to the sauce and less of a crumbly egg yolk texture, but the dish was a nice compliment to the spicy from the chicken.Would definitely love to visit Sichuan Tasty in person to try the 辣子鸡 fresh off the wok :)
Be the first to ReplyQuality/Quantity - Wow, I mean wow.
My daughter loved this place, we will be back soon!Got the following:Pork Shoulder in Hot Garlic Sauce - Spicy! The waitress also asked if we needed help cutting the shoulder.Spicy Beef Stew in Clay Pot - The meat is extremely tender. It looks spicy because of the red color (we ordered the least spicy level), but it was not.Spareribs Noodle Soup - The best broth! The soup base had so much flavor. The favorite dish out of all of them. We will order again. Atmosphere - Indoor and outdoor seating; outdoor was closed today.Street parking, good luck.Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9:30pm (BTW this is different than on Yelp).Lots of pictures of food on outside windows and on the menu to help you decide what to order.Table and chairs decor was like for a wedding...? Is this normal? Or is there an event tonight? Service - Excellent. Fast and friendly. The waitress sat us down and served us hot tea immediately. As mentioned above, she also cut the pork shoulder for us in smaller pieces so we could enjoy it. Additionally, she served the soup in smaller bowls after bringing out the dish. Price - $60 + generous tipNo surcharges, but there are to-go container charges (boxes cost 30 cents each and bags cost 20 cents each). Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since Nov 2020. Not sure if done on purpose or because of Google, but your link to your website on Yelp is in Chinese. Glad there is a google translate version!
Be the first to ReplyThey do not actually have outdoor seating, FYI.
Looks like they built a park let and stopped using it?

Very lowkey, no frills Chinese restaurant that came highly recommended to me! We weren't super hungry so just ordered the fried rice, spicy chicken, and chili oil wontons. Everything was very flavorful and tasted very authentic. It was also super affordable and came out to $16/person for dinner post tax and tip. Would highly recommend trying this place out!

Great Szechuan food in a somewhat odd and bohemian setting that is totally fun! It is definitely a good thing to know your way around your hot peppers, but have something as simple as the hot and sour soup and you are presented with the clean, bright flavors that make their food special. Bring some friends to increase the food selection, be hungry, and you can't go wrong.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the perfect hole in the wall Sichuan restaurant.
The food is all very tasty and fairly priced. There is a wide assortment of American Chinese food as well as authentic Sichuan fair. The best part is the owner is so friendly and nice, it was a treat to come here for my birthday and we'll definitely come back!

Everything is so good and the important thing is I never get funky stomach after eating the food ! I have really sensitive stomach but everything I ordered here is fresh and delicious!

If you're looking for a laid-back Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, look no further! Because the restaurant isn't particularly large, expect to wait at least 30 minutes on busy evenings.Order soup if you're in the mood for perfectly cooked noodles or feel a cold coming on- otherwise, skip this dish.Spicy boiling fish fillets and spicy beef noodles were among the dishes we sampled. The beef was tender but bland and a little dry, but the broth was fantastic.Smoked duck had a decent flavor, a 4/5 tenderness rating, and a large portion size. I'd like to try the pecking duck next time. I believe it had more flavor.Appetizer of garlic pork - delicious, soft packed with minced porkOverall, I give them four out of five stars.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a spot for lucky locals.
Came in on a random weeknight because I visited a friend who lives down the street. Didn't need to wait, they had 2 tables with 4 people in each and were already enjoying a meal. We sat, ordered and got our food pretty quickly. Had a handful of folks filtering in to pick their phone orders. Honestly if the "vibe" was more hip it probably would've become a 5 star... But that department was a tad lacking. Definitely a local family owned establishment that served some really good pretty authentic Sichuan options! I hope to come back when visiting the area! Recommending the fish 10/10 perfection!
Be the first to ReplySichuan Tasty delivers every time.
We went for the chili this time (kinda hard not to). House beef. Pig's ears. General Tsuo's. And let's not forget the hot and sour soup. So much more flavorful than anywhere else I can think of. It's good good good.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Sichuan food.
As authentic as it gets this far east of Chengdu. Big fan of the Dan Dan Mian (tan tan noodles) for that spicy and mouth numbing sauce. The cucumber and bamboo tofu appetizer is spot on - simple, tasty. My son loved the steamed tofu and crab. So much more to try! Treat yourself!
