had the gem lettuce salad, salsiccia pizza and lamb
had the gem lettuce salad, salsiccia pizza and lamb rigatoni. the pizza was amazing but was a little disappointed by the rigatoni. felt the sauce was not super flavorful. fun atmosphere and vibes!
Food is good, but the service is terriner.
Expert to not server even when the restaurant is empty

Came with a big group and had a good experience but realize I didn't love the dishes. Meatballs - 4/5. Great tomato sauce. Chicory salad - 2.5/5. Boring and forgettable Margarita pizza - 3.5/5. Thin and decent Funghi pizza - 4/5. Good mushroom and cheesy flavor. Salsiccia pizza - 2/5. Absurdly olive heavy, I had to pick them out to eat it. But good if you're an olive lover. Orechette - 3.5/5. Solid, nice small kick Agnolotti - 3.5/5. Nice cheesiness, meat could have more flavor. Paccheri - 2.5/5. Capers and clams create a dominant flavor profile that didn't work for me.

A Mano is ALWAYS the perfect fix whether you're craving Italian or simply in Hayes Valley looking for a bite--they will hit home every single time. Such a cute date spot, family meal, work dinner, whatever it might be! Couldn't recommend it more!

Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, a Mano offers a delightful dining experience with a charming bar and comfortable main seating area. The thoughtful hospitality begins at the bar, where the staff's gesture of complimentary bread while waiting for a friend sets the tone for a warm and welcoming evening. The Focaccia bread, had flavor and perfect texture. It was a great appetizer. The Radiatori pizza emerges as a star on the menu, showcasing a harmonious blend of cream and mushroom flavors. Not too heavy-- it was delicious. Can't wait to have it again! The Burrata, accompanied by delectable mushrooms and perfectly toasted bread, is a testament to a Mano's commitment to quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The Margherita pizza was okay-- we went with it because previous reviews favor it over the Funghi pizza. The straightforward combination of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil might not steal the spotlight, but it caters to those who appreciate the classics. The overall ambiance at a Mano, whether at the lively bar or in the main seating area, contributes to a pleasant dining experience. The attentive service and thoughtful gestures, such as complimentary bread, elevated the restaurant's charm for us!
The food and service here were amazing.
We had the most wonderfully attentive waiter. Every item he recommended was perfect. The cauliflower with chili and lemon is a must have. The arancini and meatballs were outstanding. Do not miss the bucatini all'amatriciana and the rigatoni agnello. Both were delicious.
I was pretty impressed by this Italian restaurant - cozy
I was pretty impressed by this Italian restaurant - cozy restaurant with food perfect for sharing. My friends and I decided to come for a post work dinner and had a great time. The staff started us off with complimentary focaccia which was sooooo delicious. We then decided to have the burrata to share. I really loved the flavor of the bread and mushrooms together - definitely something I'll be replicating at home. For mains we shared the margarita pizza and mushroom pasta. I liked the pasta the most - it had great flavors and so much cheesy goodness. The pizza was great as well but nothing too special (I did love the thin crust). The restaurant itself is quite cozy with lots of seating and the wait time is not too bad if you put yourself on the wait list on time. The staff was also very friendly and proactive with checking in on us.
I get really mad when my friends suggest we eat anywhere
I get really mad when my friends suggest we eat anywhere besides A Mano. I wish I could cook like this for myself at home.

When in Hayes Valley, this is a solid choice for Italian food. Great indoor/outdoor seating and attentive staff. The food portions are perfect size!
Party of four light lunch on Friday.
We happened upon a Mano walking around the Hayes Valley district. All of us were just moderately hungry, but we wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather with a light lunch and a Mano was the perfect choice. It wasn't very busy and we were able to choose a seat in their outdoor dining section, which was very comfortable and well protected from traffic and pedestrian flow on the sidewalk. We opted to order a few items and share, which included the Chicken Polepettine (meatballs) and cauliflower from the antipasti portion of the menu and the mushroom pizza from the pizza portion of the menu. The server said the meatball appetizer portion was 3 meatballs, but they added a fourth so each of us could have one - they were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful and served in a mildly spicy marinara sauce with 2 toast points. The cauliflower appetizer included roasted cauliflower with a mildly spicy lemon chili sauce that complimented the cauliflower perfectly. For the main, the mushroom pizza had a very thin crust with a lot of flavor from the mushrooms, shallots, sage crema, and garlic - a great combination of flavors. Lastly, we also had a small dog with us and the server brought him a bowl of water, which was a very nice additional level of service. Highly recommend this restaurant!

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
