We arrived about an hour before our reservation to see if we could get in earlier. They got us in about 1/2 hour before our reservation on the patio which was weird we still had to wait 1/2 hour since there was no one on the patio. The service was very good, friendly waiters, food came out fast. But honestly I was underwhelmed with the food. The sashimi was good fish but otherwise I didn't enjoy the rolls that much, not much flavor and too much rice. We ordered the cold tofu dish which I thought was just gross. I probably won't go back unless I want to try ramen but there are a lot of other good ramen places in Portland.

I had a patio table reserved for over a week and they called me two hours before my reservation to tell me that the patio would not be open. This doesn't work bc I have a dog with me which is why I specifically reserved a patio seat. Nowhere does it say they will randomly decide not to open their patio (it's not raining) and their reservation portal did not indicate that they would spontaneously cancel my reservation because I chose to sit on the patio. This horrible service seems completely reflective of the type of business this is and I will not be back.
We were lucky to snag bar seats at Afuri around 9p.
Overall we felt like the service was pretty slow and that the bartenders weren't super attentive. The food was pretty good, I really enjoyed the Hokkaido uni and the bluefin maki. Personally I felt like the tofu had a grainy texture which wasn't my favorite and I felt like all the rolls / maki had a little too much rice, but overall the food was good!
The ramen was ok.
Soup was a little thin and felt like it didn't hold enough flavor for the noodles to pick up.

I always get the tonkotsu tantanmen and it is extremely rich and flavorful. I do feel like the pork crumbles can get a little lost sometimes. It is pricey, but worth going out for a nice treat. The ambiance is very modern and cool, being in the industrial area of SE Portland. Out of all the ramen spots in Portland, Afuri is definitely a must try spot.
One of the first ramen spots that I've went to in Portland.
We decided to come here because we really appreciate the fact that when we looked at the menu there were different broth styles that were not tonkotsu. Food was good but on the pricier side, but hey, what can you expect from a ramen place in the USA. I give it a four stars because my ramen came out luke warm.
SUCH an amazing dining experience.
We stopped in without a reservation and waited around 15 minutes (not bad for a weekend night). The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress was attentive and sweet! We'll be back for sure
The ramen is always good, and pretty filling.
The staff is always very professional and friendly and the vibe is very nice with how the restaurant is decorated
Amazing service and incredible sushi.
The quality of fish is unmatched in Portland. This is simply the best place for sushi in the entire metro area. The vibe is very comfortable and not too fancy but definitely not the most casual of dives. It's the perfect experience when wanting to treat yourself to a sushi date
Fabulous.
Service, food and presentation were top notch. It was a cozy dinner spot on a wet chilly night, loved it. I can't wait to go back.

From the moment we stepped in, this spacious ramen spot delivered an exceptional dining experience. The service was outstanding, with our attentive server going above and beyond to ensure we knew the layout, including restroom and exit locations. Her detailed explanations of the diverse ramen options enhanced our meal. The ramen itself was delicious, perfectly complemented by unique and flavorful tempura vegetables. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience!

Business travel and found this place! I would recommend the place, the industrial and open kitchen is cool. I had enjoyed my dinner here. The food is great, service very s excellent and the environment very relaxing.
I can't stress enough how much I recommend this restaurant.
My boyfriend and I are new to town and this place is close by to our new apartment. We love sushi and Japanese food in general and are a bit picky on our quality of sushi and ramen. We were blown away by every single thing we tasted here. The interior decor is very industrial meets Japandi and the open kitchen lets you see how every chef and line cook masterfully plates every dish carefully. We especially enjoyed watching the sushi chefs make our nigiri and rolls with so much attention to detail than we are used to seeing. We did an omakase tasting menu on our Valentine's dinner date and just fell in love more and more with Afuri after every bite. My personal favorites- the uni chawanmushi and surprisingly, the sweet cream ice cream with miso caramel and candied hazelnuts are now something I think about regularly and can't wait to come back to order again and again. Not only is the food out of this world but the service was terrific! We loved our servers Anna, Thomas, and one who we didn't get the name of but she was our main server for our omakase night and she was delightful. We will definitely be coming back REGULARLY.
The food here is incredibly mediocre.
You're paying for the atmosphere, and even that feels pretentious and uninviting. There are far better ramen and sushi places in the area.
Really good and high quality food.
Smaller portions than I would like for the price range but the taste definitely makes up for it. I forgot to take photos of our food because we waited a bit long already and were quite hungry. Friendly service, it was near closing time but they were still busy so there were times that I felt like they forgot about our table. Ambiance is nice, very chill mood lighting, the only thing is, I think some of the tables are way too close to each other. It was hard not to hear the other tables' conversation. Overall would recommend to try at least once or twice if you're in the area, but wouldn't be my go-to sushi spot
this place is phenomenal.
The food is fantastic. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is great. If you want delicious ramen and interesting Japanese food this is the place to go. Only drawback is there is always a long wait to get seated, so plan accordingly.
Man, the food here is great and so was our server, Dasha.
Unfortunately, the hostess, Laura, was really rude to our group to the point where we almost left. She chastised us for checking in on our wait time with an attitude we didn't ask for. Unfortunately, this wasn't our first poor interaction with her. One of the members of our party had visited Afuri last July and remembered the poor interaction with her and, sadly, nothing has changed. It's a more expensive restaurant and has great food, but until something changes up don't we probably won't be back.
Beautiful space, very clean and modern.
The ramen is delicious and you have several options to choose from, whether you want shio or shoyu to yuzu or tsukumen. Service is quick during lunch but can be quite busy during dinner, you can get on their waitlist and get texted to come back!

Is this an appointment for a leather appointment at the Hermes Store? And if so, how do they switch the appointment to my name?
