We had booked a "Séjour Étoilé" package (2x B&B, spa including 6 and 8 course menus on 2 evenings.... Check-in was uncomplicated and friendly... The room was spacious with a minibar, TV, large bathroom, separate toilet and free-standing bathtub in the living area... Unfortunately, the wine glasses provided had water stains, the bed frame had numerous dents and scratches and the walls had black marks (from suitcases or similar) otherwise the room was clean and tidy... The building with the surrounding grounds and garden are nicely decorated and there are enough parking spaces in the back yard... The spa is small but nice, pool a bit too cold for our taste... Steam baths and sauna, however, are "nice to have" The glass fronts facing the garden were very dirty... Breakfast with fresh croissants, marinated salmon, juices etc. as well as a small buffet was good and everyone found something suitable... Unfortunately no egg dishes... Unfortunately We were not impressed by the kitchen and the menus on either evening. The service was attentive and friendly but seemed tense... The information about the individual courses was rolled out carelessly.. The aperitifs were irrelevant and boring... Spring rolls very greasy, Rilette appetizers too pleasant Char OK Foie gras dipped far too thick Horseradish mousse and pear bland in greasy cornetto Unidentifiable ball Crispy bread, very good but a small dollop of salted butter without a follow-up service for the whole evening?? The homemade pretzel rolls were very doughy and firm... Nobody needs the vegetable tartare with sorbet, foam and coutons Bland and boring... Crab with cucumber mousse, apple gel was OK (nothing earth-shattering), but was served with mushy fake caviar... For the ravioli with truffle emulsion, far too thick Perigod truffle was shaved at the table... An insane amount of truffle oil/aroma was used in the foam, which covered everything up... The scallop course with crispy green asparagus, apple and keta caviar was quite good, but the nage could have done with a bit of acidity and the herb oil could have been used more sparingly. The cooking point was very good.. The fish course was OK, but there were endless product repetitions.. Green asparagus again, Nage again, herb oil again.... The same sorbet with salt foam and pumpkin crisps was served on both evenings.. The duck breast HG was lukewarm, the skin was leathery and not crispy, with overcooked red cabbage (in spring?), two types of gel or puree, mushroom tartlet... A jus was poured on at the table which was helped along with stock powder/MSG... (Seriously??) On the second evening, poultry was served again with the HG... Also with sloppy skin, the same tartlet as the night before, not crispy fries soufflé, a scoop of mushroom duxelle and dried puree on the plate (it must have been standing around at the pass for some time). The foie gras sauce also had MSG character... The cheese from the trolley was ripe and delicious, unfortunately hardly any explanation of its origin or Affineur... Both desserts were good. Roasted pineapple with lemongrass and baba .. nice balance, acidity, melting .. The crispy cannelloni with mousse and candied chestnuts was also balanced and tasty... The selected wines were good, drinkable and the price/performance ratio was right... The petit fours and digestif (whiskey/rum and espresso on both evenings were great, the macarons were particularly noteworthy... however, the good finish cannot disguise two weak menus, we had expected more.... Unfortunately, we have to agree with the guide's decision (to deny a macaron)... The price level is overall perfectly fine/appropriate and the service was also largely satisfactory but the kitchen leaves a lot of room for improvement... The details and subtleties are simply not right... There is a need for more innovation! We wish the whole team and the house all the best but will not visit again for the time being... And cannot give any recommendations...
