Long wait - no food
I have been to Bancone covent garden a few times and it was great. However in Borough not so good They took our order and so far so good - we were waiting quite a long time, only 7 other tables so they were not super busy, or busy at all however the waiting staff pretty much disappeared so I could not remind them we were expecting lunch. After 40 minutes the waiter came and told us due to a 'mix up' our order had got lost, the one he had written down on his pad! Pretty poor service, would expect someone to keep their eye on what is going on. we said thanks, but we will leave as this was supposed to be a quick lunch - he seemed pretty non plussed and the other waiting stuff just watched us leave without any attempt to apologise. So I can't rate the food, but the experience was pretty bad.
Lovely place to eat and drink
Food, staff and atmosphere was lovely. Will definitely go again to try the counter seating, nicely busy on a Friday afternoon.

The concierge at the Sofitel recommended this restaurant and they were spot on. Amazing food. The whipped fish roe was spectacular — and incredibly reasonably priced. The pastas were super fresh and very tasty. The hostess was very friendly and our server was fantastic. We had lunch on a Thursday — it was busy but the service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend!

Bancone has the appearance of an upscale and fancy restaurant, but many of the diners came in dressed very casually. The menu is simple and we enjoyed the grilled artichoke as a starter. The pasta dishes we ordered were also tasty, but the walnut butter was a bit on the heavy side. The staff were nice and kind. Overall, this was a great pre musical dinner for my wife and me.
Fresh and Delicious!
The food was amazing and super fresh! Drinks were on point. Rate 10/10 would definitely go again. We got the rosemary focaccia and the burrata to start. These were both fresh and seasoned to perfection. For dinner we got the Bucatini cacio e pepe and theBraised ox cheek, pappardelle. Portions were perfect, pasta was fresh. Zero complaints.

Arriving early can result in a sniffy nose from front of house or what we received here a very courteous I’ll check the table we have for you if it’s ready and a yes please come this way. An excellent start. The menu is short. A good sign. A confident kitchen will be happy serving well and not having ten tons of dishes just to show off out front whilst the unpopular stagnant in the kitchen….. We started with the olives. I judge an Italian on its olives. A good Italian restaurant should fresh olives. These very good and not hard. The artichoke starter was fabulous. Focaccia could have had more oil and being served with oil and salt would have been fab. I was taught to make this at home by my auntie from Genoa so very fussy. The pasta I went for the chilli spaghetti delicious although chillies could have been hotter. Again test by the simpler dishes. My daughter had the pork Raghu and said it was very good. We have been fans of lina stores due to the correct Al dente pasta cooking not the British swamp effect. Having been here I think as linas has expanded that has done them few favours and I would return here. Service at first was slow but then picked up and was at one point a little too keen. Fan of negronis ….. on my rating scale it’s a7. Beaten by the excellent Murano. Grazie per il Cibo delizioso

We stayed with 3 Italian friends and we had a good time. Very nice restaurant with very affordable prices. Excellent value for money. With a few precautions it would be a superlative Italian restaurant. Below is our experience. DISHES TO TRY! The focaccia is excellent! As if it were homemade! The Fried Pasta with cod is good, too bad it isn't fried at the moment. It could be superb if the pasta was hot! Too bad about parsley, used in Italian cuisine in the 80s. The Cacio e Pepe is very good, I would leave the sauce a little creamier to prevent it from staling. DISHES TO IMPROVE! The Sardinian ham is not cut at the moment, it is kept in the refrigerator already cut and taken out for the composition of the dish... and unfortunately it can be felt. Anyway, good. The staff is friendly, it's a shame that the staff doesn't speak Italian..
Great Food.
Visited over the Easter B.Holiday weekend. The atmosphere is nice but it was a bit too hot in there. The food is fantastic, especially the handkerchiefs.

The ambiance and service were great and it was easy to get a seat alone at the bar. The drinks are also delicious. However, I was surprised by my disappointment with the food. I had high expectations given its on Michelin guide and was recommended by a friend. I was especially excited for the handkerchief, walnut butter, and confit egg yolk but I found it to be too bland. The texture of the pasta was great and clearly made very well. I also had the brown shrimp, keta caviar, anchovy cream, and fettuccine. I expected it to have a seafood flavor but it tasted way too fishy for my taste. The shrimp and caviar were fine but I felt that there was too much anchovy cream. The portions were also fairly small given I had two pastas to myself.
Stylish, central and great food
In a very central location close to Trafalgar Square this stylish restaurant suited us well. This is a great place for a light meal or something more substantial. We had burrata and focaccia to start followed by beautiful homemade pasta. The pumpkin ravioli with oyster mushrooms and sage butter sauce was amazing. Unlimited sparkling water at a very reasonable price made this meal excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff provided service at just the right pace. Lunchtime was very busy but that didn’t affect the service.

Very Disappointing Evening!
Our hotel concierge booked a table for 3 at 6.45pm on Thurs. There was a long queue outside in the rain. We were a few minutes early and greeted by an officious FOH staff member, informing us "The clock starts now." No "hello" no "Welcome to Bancone." We were unaware of the specified time allowed for dinner (90 minutes) - my bad for not researching. We ordered immediately and waited. The service was very disjointed with the waiter forgetting to bring one of the orders. The pasta was delicious but not up to the hype. I asked for a serving of Balsamic and the waiter said the kitchen had none. I asked to talk to the female Manager - what fine Italian restaurant has absolutely no aged Balsamico? I received a very harsh tasting, light colored vinegar that I did not use. One member of our party was unable to finish all of her meal, with a cauliflower salad remaining untouched. I asked the waiter for a to-go box, again the answer was "no." I again asked for the Manager, who informed me that were we to eat something off premise and become sick, the restaurant would be responsible - really? I am a very small eater and frequently take food out. When I used the ladies room, my dining companions were informed our time was up and that they would bring the check. Less than a minute later a different waiter asked if we wanted to order dessert. Between being told "no" to every request, plus continually being bumped into by other patrons and waitstaff, this was not an experience worth repeating. We were happy to leave and enjoy dessert and coffee at a different "non conveyor belt" restaurant. I owned a restaurant in California for 30+ years and was very disappointed with this poor level of service.

Went here after my Master's graduation because I'd heard really good things. I got the silk handkerchiefs, my mom got the ravioli, and my dad got the venison. Each dish was good, simple, and straightforward. Honestly, it might have been a little *too* simple for me, but still good nonetheless.

Bancone has been one of our favorite restaurants thus far in London! Ambiance (5/5): Online the ambiance is described as "upscale" but I disagree. It's a casual pasta bar where most of their tables are counter top seating. We loved sitting along the kitchen as we got to see how the Chef's cooked each dish. We had both a dinner and show which we truly appreciated! Service (2/5): Service does not exist here! We were actually very disappointed with the service as I had to constantly hound our waitress for water. She didn't check up on us not once to see how our meal was going and when it came to getting the check, we waited over 15 minutes until we gave up and called her over. Additionally, we waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out which we will give them the pass only because everything was made fresh. Food (4.5/5): Their pasta was very delicious and for sure memorable! We ordered the Silk Handkerchiefs, Spicy Pork Ragu, and Brill Seaweed Butter Paccheri. As someone who doesn't typically order Ragu at Italian restaurants, I can say this was probably one of the best I have had. The meat portion was generous and the flavors just blended so well. I also loved the Silk Handkerchiefs, it's similar to a carbonara. I loved the nuttiness mixed with creamy taste inside each bite. Lastly, if the Brill Paccheri wasn't drenched in olive oil, I think it may have been my favorite dish of the night. Sadly, there was wayyy too much olive oil causing the pasta to get soaked in it (taking a 0.5 star off because of this). I can tell the flavors were there if they had used less oil--- the use of fish and pasta was iconic and unique. Overall, the pasta was cooked to perfection, it was not too hard and not too soggy. Bravo! *** UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR: On the menu it states "an optional gratuity of 12.5% will be added to the total bill". However, when the bill came out the gratuity was already added to the total? As someone who is big on principle, if you want to charge 12.5% gratuity to all bills, fine. Just don't say it's optional when it's not and don't force customer to ask for the "optional" gratuity charge to be removed. Let the customer choose if they want to add it - that makes it truly optional*** As someone who is a food snob, I highly recommend visiting Bancone! Don't expect much from their service but their food will not disappoint.
Went here for my birthday and it was amazing.
The food was delicious, I couldn't tell you a favorite but all their pasta is cooked to perfection. The portions are pretty generous as well. Try their signature cocktails, small servings but packs a punch!
Solid but not great nor worth the hype.
Party vibe, well lit establishment in the heart of the action. We had reservations and walk ups were getting turned away for the night (but we also noticed a bunch of two top tables available around 7pm). Seated promptly. Some delay for drink and food order, server seemed surprised we wanted it in sequence (not all at once). Starters were not great, dry focaccia and prosciutto, cauliflower salad was bizarre and had clumps of a mayo like substance and was dying for a citrus or acid. Negroni selection was good but they are small. Wine selection limited which was a little odd. Pasta quality was high, venison and cacio e Pepe were best selections. Skip the spicy pork. More service delays. Desserts were fine, served ahead of coffee. There are much better Italian or pasta focused restaurants.
What an experience.
What a dinner. Call for a reservation and ask to be seated where the action is. Tableside. Chef was absolutely in the zone and it was awesome to see the consistency of the food being pushed out real time. We sampled three pasta dishes. Because we can. We were not disappointed. I wish we could have ordered all the dishes to try. The service was amazing. The staff was kind and chef....beast. Negroni was good. Dessert. Everything. We just couldn't help watching the food being platted. The way chef tasted dishes and how effortless he made it seem plating. Also, you would never guess he was on full display because he is so in the zone. I would return in a heartbeat. Y'all. Don't forget to thank chef on the way out. While you might think you're disturbing chef, you're not. A simple "thank you chef" is enough. Give credit where credit is due.

HIGHLY recommend this pasta spot in London. I was very skeptical having been in Italy last year but this place absolutely measured up. Handmade pasta at a super reasonable price every single dish I ordered was incredibly delicious. Service was FABULOUS and full of knowledge and recommendations. We walked in for an early dinner with no problems and were immediately seated but the later it got the busier it got. A absolutely worth it though. Will dream of it until I'm able to return!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
