Bardessono Hotel and Spa Yountville Reviews from The Last Year

This is another phenomenal hotel in Yountville and the grounds remind me of being in Japan. Service is excellent and they are happy to answer any questions and help make a reservation for you!!
Great place to stay in Napa!
Great place to stay in the heart of Napa Valley! Our room was recently refreshed and beautiful. Service was excellent. My spouse and I prefer white wines and the concierge was so helpful in guiding us to local wineries to suit our needs. The hotel restaurant was great and we especially enjoyed the service there. I was especially grateful that the restaurant staff remembered my distinct dietary needs at each visit. Will definitely stay here again!
Not a good feel.
I have a stay booked at the property six months from now. They require full prepayment with the ability to cancel within 14 days of the stay. I gotta say, this is pretty outrageous given the fact that they now have access to my money interest free for six months. Please be aware of this when you are considering this property.
Great hotel.
fantastic service. Spa was amazing! The rooms were very nice. It's our second time there and we'll be back!!
Excellent!!!
My husband and I just returned from five nights here at the Bardessono. I could not recommend this hotel more. All of the staff, from the front desk, to valet, to wait staff to housekeeping, and management were attentive, friendly and helpful. The grounds were perfect. The attention to detail in the rooms is exquisite. We loved the outdoor shower, reading out on the patio, the gas fireplace. The steam shower and jet tub made it hard to want to leave the room when you have your own private spa. The furnishings and decor were perfect - modern and clean yet comfortable. And the fridge was always stocked with water and soda. If I could give six stars I would. Worth every penny and I would love to visit again.
Worth every penny
We stayed for a quick anniversary weekend getaway. Unlike other Napa resorts this one is situated right in the heart of yountville. You can walk to amazing and iconic restaurants. You have a short drive to most of the best wineries in the area. The service was absolutely top notch. I screwed up putting in an incorrect credit card number, they still held the reservation. They called and were so professional when I was totally in the wrong. The service was excellent and the valet was crazy fast. The food was great, the pool was super fun, and it had stunning views of the Napa valley. It’s definitely worth the splurge for an anniversary or honeymoon or if you are just feeling spendy :). I definitely will be booking it for us our next anniversary. Every single person who worked there when we checked in wished us happy anniversary which shows their dedication to service.
Amazing service and experience
AMAZING!!! Highly recommend. We stayed for 1 night in a suite with a private hot tub. The suite was beautiful, the welcome board and wine was stunning. We felt so welcome by all the staff. They have a car to take you to wineries which we took advantage off!! We had spa treatments which were also really good. What a cool place, we will be returning!!
Spent Thanksgiving 2023 at Bardessono and what a treat it
Spent Thanksgiving 2023 at Bardessono and what a treat it was. After staying at a good number of hotels in CA wine country, The Lodge at Sonoma, Indian Springs, MacArthur Place, and Ledson Hotel, I think Bardessono is my favorite. I think the combination of the pure modern design set in nature and exceptional service set it apart from other hotel experiences. From the reception area, to the valet, to the room service, and grounds, everyone you encounter is warm and friendly. My favorite parts of the room were the incredibly comfortable king bed and the large bathroom and tub with jacuzzi jets. Pros: Modern and relaxing hotel experience, exceptional service, and top notch rooms. Cons: NA
Magnificent property
My wife and I visited this magnificent property as a belated anniversary gift to ourselves. We are seasoned travelers and we generally aim to stay at "nicer" hotels and resorts. This may have been the best property we've ever visited. The property is spotless. The garden is incredibly zen and peaceful. Have a glass of wine and enjoy the tranquility. There are countless ways to visit wineries and vineyards and tasting rooms and restaurants - many of these are within walking distance, but there are shuttles and car services to take you around the valley. I would nor rely on uber or lift because some of the vineyards are deep in the mountains and cell services can be tough, for both you and your uber driver. For these, the hotel can recommend and help you schedule reliable, clean and professional car service. The fitness center is located on the pool deck. It was well appointed and so enjoyable to work out in the dun, enjoying incredible views of the mountain ranges. It is my understanding that they are renovating the pool and fitness center (as of 11/23) so if these things are your jam, just call ahead and check the status of that - it was posted on their website too. Lucy is the restaurant on property. It is outstanding both in terms of food as well as wines. With all of the wonderful restaurants within walking distance, Lucy does more than holds its own - it is outstanding, with amazing service. Breakfast can be a sit down meal if you want - or complimentary coffee, scones and muffins, which is what we opted for before starting our day. I highly, highly recommend this property, and I cannot wait to visit again.
A must stay hotel for a Napa visit
Beautiful hotel! Easy and close access to everything. The hospitality is the best in the business! Ray and the entire staff were absolutely incredible. The food at Lucy was wonderful, the grounds were peaceful.. Thanks! We will be back! Jodie and Chad
Yountville Luxury
We arrived on a Tuesday and we were able to check in to our room early. The valet guys are just wonderful and they really understand customer service. Big shout out to Enrique, he was extremely helpful and just always ready to serve with a smile. This just sets the tone in my opinion. Jordan at the front desk was a pleasure as well! Andrea at the concierge desk was quite helpful getting us a driver for our winery visits on short notice. Christopher at the Lucy bar made some tasty cocktails and was a pro as well! This property is just stunning and the rooms are perfection. All the details have been carefully thought about. We stayed in the Tufa suite for 2 nights and the villa for 2 nights. Amazing! You really feel yourself relaxing when you are there. The Lucy restaurant was also awesome! We had breakfast 3 times and dinner once. Lots of good restaurants around town. We used the Lexus coupe one morning, that was fun! Good job to whoever is in charge of training here, or knowing what kind of people to hire. All were truly servant hearted. We loved our stay and will be back again.
Love this place
Loved everything about this hotel. The front drive staff really anchor the experience and are each so warm, helpful, and happy to be there. The spa was lovely, and the room was nicely done. The bar was a let down, while we heard great things the space was dated and not appealing at all. Staff was very nice however. Breaking was wonderful and the location makes waking up a pleasure as you can grab a coffee and stroll through picturesque Yountville. Can’t wait to return.
The most relaxing resort I have ever stayed at! The staff
The most relaxing resort I have ever stayed at! The staff is incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing vacation. The resort and rooms are very clean. This place was honestly a dream!

This was my FAVORITE hotel in Napa, went on couple date nights here and had a blast! Food impeccable, wine strong, pool views and cucumber martinis had me on cloud 9; can't wait to see you for autumn foliage solo this year!!! I hope mini dachshunds are allowed
Fabulous experience
Service here is impeccable and warm. Accommodations are stunning. Pricey but worth every penny. Staying in Yountville allowed for walking to restaurants, tasting rooms and coffee shops and bakeries. Wish we could go back tomorrow.

4.5 STARS So...THIS is how the 1% live?! Sign me up! Staying at Bardessono was a very rare splurge because it's chaaa-chiiiing. If you don't blink an eye at $1k+/night accommodations, adopt me please...I come with a furry chick magnet! ;) Opening in 2009, Bardessono is gorgeous luxe resort in the heart of Yountville. They have 62 rooms and suites. And, are DOG-FRIENDLY! P R I C E S During off-season, rooms start at about $950/night and during peak season on weekends, they start at about $1800/night. $68 destination fee per night. Pet-fee: $200/stay. I took advantage of their spring deal and for two nights ($1010/night), it was about $2,684 after tax, fees, and pet fee. T H E G R O U N D S LOVE! The grounds were serene and picturesque with various gardens and calming water fountains throughout the property: https://tinyurl.com/42x2eduu. And, it's a short walk to the creek. C E N T R A L L O C A T I O N Walking distance to ALL the eateries and restos in Yountville - Addendum, Ad Hoc, Bistro Jeanty, Bottega, Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery, Model Bakery, The French Laundry, RH Restaurant, R + D Kitchen, North Block, etc. TIP: If you're over bougie food, hit up Tacos Garcia Taco Truck that's about a 10-12 minute walk (across from North Block Hotel). Hello, $3 lengua and cabeza tacos! S U I T E King & Queen Spa Suite - link to video clip: https://tinyurl.com/yc4t5za7 (+) THE TUB! The huge jacuzzi tub was AHHHMAZING: https://tinyurl.com/yn9uvfjs. (+) Mini-fridge stocked w/ boxed water, boylan cola, yerba mate, and snacks like yummy salt & vinegar almonds: https://tinyurl.com/yr9bfc2x. In-room Nepresso machine and a bottle of Duckhorn wine was provided. (-) I could tell it was a *pet friendly* room from the smell of the cleaning products. (-) There's a curtain that separates the king and queen bed. Seems makeshift and tacky...like something you would do at a frat house. (-) No fan in the bathroom and the windows didn't open so it became a hot sauna after taking a shower/bath. (-) Weak shower pressure. (-) One tiny clock in the entire suite, no clock in the bathroom. (-) I know this is nitpicky but the appliances are the same ones you find at a $ hotel; i.e. Conair Cord Keeper. With Bouchon Bakery up the block, it's disappointing that they don't offer pastries from there. We didn't dine at Lucy's but they had a dog menu which I ordered room service: https://tinyurl.com/2wwwn9px. S E R V I C E 5+ star service from all the onsite staff - from Nick at the concierge (he was awesome!), the valets, housekeeper, etc. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help. I'm not sure if their reservation line is outsourced but the two staff I spoke with on the phone could use better customer service skills. One was curt and the other was insistent that the pet fee was $200 per day when the website states, it's $200 per stay. D O G - F R I E N D L I N E S S VERY dog-friendly. Dog bed, dog bowls, and boxed water provided. Dog menu at Lucy's. P A R K I N G Complimentary valet parking. Overall, I loved my stay at Bardessono! Gorgeous grounds, wonderful service, and dog-friendliness but for $1k+/night, the suite fell short of expectations so rounding down to 4 stars.

It's a shame that a property this beautiful has such problems with the simple things. Timing of service and food service. 3 days in a row, our room was unserviced. Temps in the restaurant were cool after waiting 2.5 hours for food to arrive. Breakfast meats were uncooked on parts and cooked on others. People across the board have to ask for simple things like salt, pepper and refills on their coffees. Guests are also asked to wait 5-10 minutes to sit at the restaurant even with over 10 empty tables. It's fine to say "we're fully booked the guests haven't arrived yet" but when the restaurant is completely empty both inside and out, it's silly to ask people to wait. A guest of our party altered their stay and added 2 nights. They were called at noon and literally asked why they hadn't left the property yet. It's a mess and it's too expensive for that.

Echoing what other reviewers have said: LUXURY and TRANQUILITY! We splurged on a weekend staycation to celebrate a very special occasion, and we can't wait to return! Located right in the heart of downtown Yountville, the setting is spa-like with fountains and greenery and sculptures all around the property. The hotel is a super short walk from a number of fabulous wine tasting rooms and eateries (including French Laundry, Bottega, La Calenda (across the street)....) Our room had an indoor steam shower and outdoor shower, as well as an outdoor tub (we ended up in an ADA room and I think the outdoor tub is unique to that room...what a treat!). We made use of all three bathing options, as well as the fitness center, pool, and hot tub. The resort/destination fee is $68/rm/night, and we feel like we got our money's worth. It includes a bunch of amenities: -welcome glass of wine at check-in -complimentary valet parking -complimentary in room refreshment center stocked daily (water, iced tea, soda...) -in-room snacks (think nuts, trail mix) -morning coffee and breakfast bites (pastries, yogurts, fruit) in Lucy Lounge -wifi throughout property -fitness center access - (the fitness center is a small but sufficient open-air tented space on the pool roofdeck) -bottled water -pool & hot tub access Staff are warm and genuinely welcoming. What an incredibly memorable stay!
