Second Time and Still Good!
We stopped by lunch and we were very glad we did. This is our second visit to this restaurant - the previous occasion was years ago. Still the quality and standard remains high. Staff were excellent, food was delicious and plentiful in a place which has a good atmosphere I's be more than happy to swing by here for a bite to eat
Be the first to ReplyOverhyped is a euphemism. Lacklustre food and ambience
My friend was visiting from outside India and wanted to try Bastian as heโd seen videos of celebrities visiting the place. I had to pay a deposit to reserve a table. It is absolutely absurd that a restaurant of this quality charges a deposit. Dry meat, lacklustre cocktails, the truffle fries had no truffles, the location was underwhelming as well. My friend (and myself) hated it and was sorely disappointed. Probably the most disappointing part was the crowd and ambience - uncles and crying babies, far cry from the image advertised. Other posh restaurants in south Bombay have such a great millennial crowd and ambience. Overhyped is a euphemismโฆ

Never expected such quality... waste of money and time.last time experience was worth it but shattered with today's experience
Be the first to ReplyMISSED THE REAL BASTIAN
Peach Ice Tea was extremely sour, wild mushroom pasta was bland , animal prawns had an average taste not the regular Bastion. The AC was blowing on the head and the table they could not control it. nor change the direction of the flow. Suggest the VALET slip has kind of fuel gauge picture so the Valet could mark it as per the fuel on the vehicle gauges, removing any doubt THE MAC AND CHEESE Was again struggling to prove that its BASTIAN Could be the real Chefโs had gone on a holiday after the new yearโs eve Hectic work MISSED THE REAL BASTIAN
Be the first to ReplyNothing special
A mediocre eatery with hyped reviews and prices. Crispy fried tofu is soggy by the time it reaches one's table. Charrgrilled chicken is a regular chicken Tikka without it being charred. In a similar manner regardless of various fancy names many items are just mediocre. Also no food presentation is evident. Overall just another ordinary restaurant.

Be the first to ReplySunday Brunch done right
The place has great vibe and decent menu selection. Each dish had superb flavors. We loved the portion sizes and perfect service.
Be the first to ReplyNo question. Just go for the lobster Thermidor
A friend recommended their lobster thermidor and it was superb. Ambience was good, with attentive service and knowledgeable wait staff. The Hamachi was good but the snapper was a little disappointing and overly spiced. However we had an enjoyable time. Would definitely go there again
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing experience
Went on mother's day, planned by daughter with great expectations. Had booked table and on arrival we were denied the table we preferred (window side) and told that table was for 4, we were seated on a table at a corner. Within 20 minutes, I suddenly find the same table allowed to another group of 4, all this done by the host Joshua, who I think is insensitive and arrogant. I think one goes to such restaurant for an experience and incident as above completely defeats the purpose. At least we should have been offered that table as we requested for same earlier. This is to enlighten other visitors from bring meted with such unjust treatment
Be the first to ReplyWorth the Hype .Fine Dining Celebrity restaurant at Bandra.
Bastian has been on my bucket list since long ...finally on a Thursday afternoon,I happened to visit this restaurant, quite popular as it's owned and frequented by Celebrities. Frankly it was more out of curiosity... to see what the hype is all about and if they really live up to it. As a usual practice,I had booked a table ,but we got delayed due to traffic. The staff were courteous enough to hold the table for us ...however it was quite difficult to get to the right outlet after calling the numbers listed on their Insta page( they have two outlets-Bandra and Worli and a Bakery at Bandra). The entrance is rather small ,it's just around the corner-next to Burger King at Linking Road. A flight of steps led us to the restaurant. The first floor was closed during lunch the day we visited . I was told they open it for dinner . The place has a casual yet chic vibe , we sat on a corner table overlooking the Linking Road - it was a bright and sunny day! The smoking area is lined with plants and the vibrant ,eclectic terrace with colourful flowers and teacups , teapots etc is the perfect backdrop for drool worthy social media pics. They have utilised the limited space quite well. We tried a lot of dishes...mentioning the prices as well for a better idea. Drinks - Virgin Pinacolada- Rs 350-Good . Virgin Mohito- Rs 295- Good Amethyst Gimelet - Rs 1000- Excellent- it was a piece of Art! So beautifully presented and tasty too( Refer the photos) Starters - Chicken Tacos - Rs 650 - Average ( small portion ). Non Veg Soupy Dumplings - Rs 450- Excellent ,very Spicy ( we ordered it twice). Animal Prawns - Rs 900- Excellent ,very spicy and crispy (good portion). For mains we tried their bowls- Miso Snapper Bowl- Rs 800- Excellent flavor, served with cauliflower rice . Chicken Teriyaki Bowl- Excellent smoky flavour, served with regular rice . Bowls had good portions. For dessert we ordered Chocolate Pull Me Cake -Rs 1200- Excellent ,moist with layers and layers of chocolate- one of their famous desserts . Infact they have a variety of cheesecakes and pull me up cakes . Service Tax, VAT additional .We paid Rs 8540 for 2 adults ,1 teenager. The service was excellent ,our attendant Yash recommenced some of above dishes which we really liked ,the floor Manager Rajiv was very courteous as well . They have plenty of options for seafood lovers -sushi ,lobster roll, norwegian salmon . Plenty of Vegan dishes too avocado poke, green curry bowl ,mockmeat (I read somewhere that their chef has specially curated this for vegetarians ) etc. Bastian Market Menu looked interesting( one can choose the sauce eg black bean , Singapore curry etc ...and choose the protein vegetable ,mockmeat (chicken /fish), lobster, crab ,fish etc... P.S. :do check on the spice levels of the dishes before ordering ,if you cannot handle spices . I would surely like to re-visit!!
