I've been to Los Angeles location many times this was my first time going to the Las Vegas location. Food: good Price : $$$ Service: Heimer was ok Anna Amazing! Ambiance : speak easy : low lit elegant. Heimer was our waiter and tried to sell us on the Pork Belly sliders usually not on the menu. So we got them. Usually they ask us about any food allergies and for some reason was not asked. We didn't know they were PB & J pork belly sliders ! My sister and I are allergic to PB. The guy delivering our food just happened to say PB & J pork belly sliders. Had we known we would've never ordered them. Heimer remedied it by giving us the empanadas complimentary. As that's what we were going to order instead of the sliders. One of us had a women's emergency and found a lovely woman waitress by the name of Anna who found us something to help us with it. And discreetly gave it to us! Anna is amazing !! The tomahawk was good but tasted a little watery. Always love the poke tacos, empanadas and grilled cheese soup dumplings! It is tapas style. Overall good experience. I want to try the New York location next.

Amazing food and great service Atmosphere was super chic ! Loved the special speak easy hidden entrance too!
Be the first to ReplyCame here to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Paid an extra $100 dollars for the booth which I thought would go toward the bill but it was simply a reservation fee. The food was ok. We ordered oysters which came out dirty, most restaurants tend to clean the surrounding of the raw oysters but maybe they were too busy to do so. But our waiter was amazing and immediately sent it back and changed it for us. Overall the food was ok, but the service was really good. Don't think we will be back any time soon unless it's for a special event with our friends.

The speakeasy style of this restaurant is very cool! It feels like you're going to a jewelry store but then the secret door in the back brings you into the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. He made wonderful recommendations. It is family style tapas. Here are the things we got. Yellow crudo, empanadas, Crispy shrimp, chicken meatballs, tomato soup dumplings, focaccia bites and a special braised short ribs. Everything was absolutely outstanding, except for the braised short ribs. Those were dry and lacked flavor. We ended up getting a second order of chicken meatballs because they were THAT good! There was a situation with the light above our table. It flickered ALL NIGHT. It was very distracting and bothersome to us. The manager felt bad so gave us dessert. We got strawberry shortcake shots, the warm chocolate chip sundae and the doughnuts. Don't let the vegan sundae throw you off!! It was amazing. If I could give this place 4.5, I would. But since I can't, I'm rounding up to 5 due to the cool atmosphere and good service.

I had an an absolutely wonderful experience at Beauty & Essex! We came here after the Super Bowl and were exhausted and HUNGRY! Everything about our experience was great. The space is very cool-- you enter through a speakeasy like door and are transported into a romantic, moody, and fun restaurant. We had a comfortable table and the atmosphere was the perfect balance between lively and intimate. Our waiter started off a bit callous but quickly turned his attitude around. I can imagine that he was stressed and super busy because of the big game weekend. Once he was settled, he was able to provide our table with good service and menu recommendations. The food and drinks here are to die for. I started out with a gimlet type drink from the cocktail menu. The drink was appealing to the eye and a delight for my tastebuds. We had a large variety of menu items-- steak tartare, tuna poke wonton tacos, and truffle mac and cheese to name a few. There is one item on the menu you absolutely can not miss: the grilled cheese dumplings. While this sounds like a silly item to say you must get, the dumplings were mind blowing lily good. The flavors were balanced and the texture was delightful. Definitely a great spot to check out while in Vegas. I hope I can make it to the New York location soon!

You walk in through what looks like a pawn shop, and then you go down a hallway to the actual restaurant. We were seated right away. They did have a hard time finding a table to fit all 6 of us. But we got it all figured out! We ordered so much food and just shared everything. I can't even remember all the dishes, but the favorites of all of us were the tomato soup spoons, the foccacia, and the tomahawk steak. We also ordered the beef wellington, brussel sprouts, Mac n cheese, shrimp cocktail, some type of breaded shrimp, tacos, prime rib dip, and eggplant. For dessert, we got the mango sorbet, the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and the donuts. Don't skip those donuts! My only "complaint" was that the restaurant is dark and my awful eyes couldn't read the menu without turning on my phone flashlight. Come check it out!

We were celebrating our anniversary and specifically chose to celebrate at B&E. Bottom line we chose well! Tip: Make reservations well in advance. Upon arriving the hostess greeted us right away acknowledging our anniversary. Ambience was dim but very swanky and elegant. We were lucky to have George take care of us. He went above and beyond. Since it was our first time dining there, George suggesting portion sizes, how many dishes to order and described food in detail, it made it easy for us to select our food. Lots of selection on the menu with great descriptions. You can tell the menu was very well thought out and offerings were plentiful. Food highlights for us were the Thai shrimp, the grilled cheese tomato soup and the French dip mini sandwiches. All very unique! Food was small bites similar to tapas style. George gave us a complimentary Anniversary dessert! Warm fresh donuts were light pillowy texture! It came with 3 sauces, caramel, chocolate and a fruit syrup. Also a side of mini cake pops which were rich dense and so fudgy! George was so attentive, he made our dinner experience here unforgettable! From the food to the service, it was a very enjoyable evening!
Be the first to ReplyThis place was a highlight on my trip to Vegas.
Great location in the Cosmo with speakeasy vibes as it's 'hidden' behind a pawn shop. The interior decor is chic and sexy. The menu is small shareable plates and everything was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyI was genuinely impressed by this place.
I love the interior design and ambiance and the staff! We started with the grilled cheese soup dumplings and I'm not sure how can anyone elevate grilled cheese but they found a way 10/10. I def recommend it. Next we got the Chile Relleno Empanadas which is a great vegetarian option. 7/10 After that we got the Mexican street corn raviolis and it's exactly what you expect 8/10. Next, we ordered the lobster bao buns which were interesting. The lobster were made into cakes and had an interesting flavor to them. They reminded me of the middle eastern eid cookies in terms of the spices. They were good but they were the least interesting dish $7/10. Lastly we chose the strawberry shortcake shots which is 3 shot glasses of strawberry shortcakes and is a great palette cleanser because the strawberries are fresh, ripped, and refreshing The menu is designed to share different dishes with your family and friends. They present each dish to your table one at a time and are constantly changing out your plates and cutlery. The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. I only took photos of some of the dishes we ordered because we got lost in the moment with the experience
Be the first to ReplyWe ate out fancy for dinner 4 times on our recent big bday
We ate out fancy for dinner 4 times on our recent big bday bash in Las vegas, and this was my least favorite. We didn't have reservations and it was super cool of the host to let us know 2 guys were getting up from the bar and got us those seats. The bartender was incredibly nice. I ordered some strawberries and moet drink with grey goose, and as a bartender... this was trash. It didn't say it had simple in it (I would have asked for none) and I watched her pour a pretty good amount of simple syrup, and it's just a splash of moet on top. It was sooo overly sweet that I couldn't drink it. My husband chugged it for me bc it was 25$ and we aren't wasting that lol and I ordered my usual aperol spritz, which was super good. We got the soup grilled cheese dumplings- 3 out of 5. They're really flavorful and unique but very hard to eat. Thai shrimp 5 out of 5 - I would have just ordered this honestly, it was so good. The bartender said it was her favorite and I see why. So glad we got this over the lobster buns. KALUA-STYLE PULLED PORK 2 out of 5 it was dry and not flavorful BRAISED CHICKEN MEATBALLS- 4 out of 5 besides the Thai shrimp this was the other winner. We ordered bread to dip in the sauce and it really was good. The restaurant is very trendy, hip, sexy... all those things. I was dressed up and I felt like I fit in bc all the girls were in going out attire. I liked the restaurant a lot, and the service but I don't really recommend it for actual dinner. I was still hungry. This is a nice grab a drink and some apps before going somewhere else. They do have bigger plates.. it's just super expensive. If you're wanting to get all dressed up and be somewhere trendy, this is it. It's very sexy LV... but don't go thinking this will be the best meal in Vegas. And if you're hungry, get more than shareables, get your own bigger dish. I chowed down on chicken fingers and fries later haha.

Everything is shareable and there is a wide variety of options. My favorites were the poke wonton tacos, the grilled cheese dumplings, and the filet.Food was coming out FAST. The moment we finished one dish someone would grab it and the next one would be placed.I ordered a last word to drink, which they made with lemon instead of lime. Subtle, but I expected a spot like this to make it the right way.So now the biggest problem with my night was the constant interruptions from the staff. I get wanting to be helpful but this was taken too far. Don't interrupt the table! In conclusion, the whole experience felt rushed. The staff simply wouldn't let us enjoy or savor the moment. With so many other options in the city, I can't see myself returning.

The presentation of the food and the quality itself was great. Exactly what you would expect on the strip. The service, however, felt extremely rushed and impersonal. We dined here during the weekday and it was not a full house by any means but I constantly felt like we were being sped through our courses and out those pawn shop doors...My personal favorites of the night were the grilled cheese dumplings with tomato soup. SOOO good and clever! The poke wontons were also delicious. I could have easily had all three and then some. The street corn ravioli was lackluster and didn't have the bold elote flavors I was looking for. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium rare and came with a nice, spicy olive tapenade. I would also stick to wine versus their cocktails. Reservations recommended.

More of a restaurant (they have quite a dinner menu) than a speak easy though they do have a wide array of drinks! It feels like you're in a different time with the gold decor, the impeccable wait staff, and the candle lighting. We had such sweet and attentive servers, who even offered us a "to-go" cup since we couldn't finish our drinks before close. We enjoyed after-dinner drinks and then headed somewhere a bit more rowdy.

Quantity was humongous but pesto sauce was quite less for the quantity of noodles.

The grilled cheese soup dumplings were the best thing on the menu, although it was all good! The timing of the rounds were great and the drinks were the best we had this weekend, I highly recommend the pink panther!

My birthday felt so special. Tomahawk cooked to perfection, and Mac&Cheese/Lamb chops/Scallops was also good. I can't complain about the food at all it was delicious. Our sever was da bomb he was on top of everything, attentive to every birthday need. Thanks DJBTW, the drinks were also really good. The only thing was that it's pretty dark and had to use phone light to see the menu
Be the first to Replycame here with high expectations because of their pictures
came here with high expectations because of their pictures and menu online, plus who doesn't love a speakeasy? it was so cool to ride up to the top floor of the Cosmopolitan and see the pawn shop, which looks out of place at such a nice hotel, and then be led through the side door into a dark, classy atmosphere. (imo it was toooo dark, it was hard to read the menu and see faces but to each their own). we were quickly greeted by our friendly waitress and given glasses of water. she explained to us that their menu is actually intended to be shared, family style! definitely a different experience than what we expected but it turned out great. she recommended that for two people, 4-6 dishes would be enough. here's what we got:- little french dips: DELICIOUSSSSS. my personal fave. the bread was wonderfully toasted with the perfect crunch, the beef was so tender and juicy, the cheese was just melty enough to get you a good pull without burning your tongue, and the au jus was amazing!! highly recommend this. it comes with three pieces, but our girl asked if we wanted to add a 4th so we could split it evenly. we didn't but we appreciated the thought!- grilled cheese dumplings: wow. who would have thought that comfort food could be elevated like this?? the homemade tomato soup was incredible and so flavorful, and the cheese dumplings had a great chew to balance it out. this was my boyfriend's fave and he would have devoured the whole plate of 6 if he didn't have to share with me! lol- street corn ravioli: I like elote, bf has never had, so I thought this would be a cool twist to try. certain elements were tasty, but it had too much going on for it to be a cohesive dish. the ravioli itself was wonderful, and the street corn was perfect, but put them together AND with the sauces on top, and it was too much. - chicken meatballs: these actually impressed me! giant meatballs sitting in delicious gravy, with a generous helping of ricotta on top. at first I was doubtful because the ricotta was cold and the inside of the meatballs was steaming hot, but it actually balanced soooo well, temperature and flavor wise. the gravy might as well have been a soup because we were scooping that up and eating it right off the spoon! we got drinks too, pretty typical cocktails. it was nice to have the sweet refreshing drinks during the meal. for dessert, they noted that it was our belated anniversary dinner and gave us cake pops on the house! otherwise, we probably would have tried the ferris wheel of desserts. so many tables around us had it and it looked like so much fun. overall a fantastic experience and if you're willing to splurge a little on a great dinner with good company, I highly recommend coming here.
Be the first to ReplyAtmosphere gets 5 stars.
Beautiful decor, great drinks and service. Food was a huge let down, nothing tasted memorable and some item almost flavorless. Saving graces were the espresso martinis (best I've had) and the presentation on the dessert wheel.

This place is really cool, so you'll find it hidden behind a pawn shop inside the Cosmopolitan. The ambience is really nice, obviously goes with a Cosmopolitan sexxy, sensual, seductive.Be ready to spend some bucks, the plates are very small. They recommend you get 45 to share for a party of two. The food is so good though, I wanted to order more!! And the food comes out super fast.Unfortunately, the service wasn't so great for such a high end restaurant I did not feel like I was Queen Elizabeth, I felt like the most basic Sarah there was. I definitely would recommend going for the food and that's it, if you're looking for service and experience go somewhere else.

cool place, like a speakeasy, hidden behind a pawn shop storefront.Drinks were good, vibe was fun. super crowded though. Felt really cramped. We had a reservation for 6 and were seated at a booth with 3 extra chairs. Space was tight for sure.Food and service was good and attentive. Everything is served family style to share.
Be the first to ReplyAdorable hidden restaurant the fronts as a 2nd hand store.
It's a bit dimly lit, but I enjoyed the glamorous ambiance. We ordered the Beef Wellington, Thai Shrimp and Tuna Tacos along with cocktails and wine. Service was great. I would definitely return.

..it's nestled behind a pawn store and has a unique vibe to it once you walk in. The bar was crowded and although we had reservations for a table, we were seated a bit late. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and forgot about us for most of the night, but she was very friendly. The food comes out as shareables and has some unique flavor combinations - our table enjoyed a large variety of items as we had four people and each ordered three things. I'd say we all liked about half of what we ordered - the chicken meatballs, French dip, flatbread, and the tomato soup (although it was definitely not worth the price) were our favorites. The fries, onion rings, steak tartare, and Mac and cheese weren't our favorites. They did bring a birthday treat out as we were celebrating a birthday, which was a nice touch.

This place is divine! Recently celebrated a birthday with a large party and we had the best time here! The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. (I didn't even get pictures because we were so excited to eat everything!) The tomato soup and filet were my favorite! The private room that we sat in was beautiful and perfect for our group. It may be pricey, but not sure I have ate at a better place in Vegas. Thanks for the best experience! We will be back!

Living in Vegas, my husband and I have found a few of the celebrity chef owned restaurants to be a little overrated. NOT BEAUTY &ESSEX! Everything was perfect. The servers, ambiance, drinks, and food were better than we imagined. We will be back, and next time, I'm buying something from the cute little pawn shop attached to it!
Be the first to ReplyThis is by far one of the worst dining experiences I have
This is by far one of the worst dining experiences I have EVER had. I was extremely disappointed. The food wasn't great and everything we ordered was luke warm borderline cold. The grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings were probably the only thing I actually enjoyed at this restaurant. The streak I ordered was extremely salty, and was served cold. The portions were very small aside from the spaghettini, however given that this restaurant is designed for you to order food and share it with the table, you would expect the portions to be of sharing size. The ambiance of the restaurant was so weird. They were playing literal clubbing music, super loud, while we are trying to enjoy a nice dinner. I personally, don't want to listen to "Twerkulator" by City Girls while I am at a "nice" restaurant. Not to mention, the tables were pretty close together so everyone was talking very loud to hear over the music and we couldn't even really hear ourselves. Also there isn't a restroom in the restaurant, you have to leave, go into the hotel and use the hotel restroom. The service was okay too but we really weren't checked on too often. If you're going to spend your money on a nice dinner, don't waste it here. STK is right next to it and we had a MUCH better experience there.
