Beige Alain Ducasse Chuo City Reviews from The Last Year
It has changed to Japanese-style French cuisine that makes the most of the ingredients.
I used Beige for a friend's appreciation party. It's been 7 years since my last visit. The seating arrangement and atmosphere have changed. The seasoning also makes the most of the ingredients, which is more to our liking than before. When I asked, I was told that the chef had recently changed. I was very satisfied with the chef's choice course, Moet and a bottle of red wine. The ingredients, especially the vegetables, were delicious, without any special touches. I think the concept is French cuisine that suits Japanese people. I was shown to the farthest seat by the window. The service was also top-notch, so I felt at ease. Some people may find it lacking compared to before, but I like it.
French cuisine with a Japanese twist
September 2023 The food was elegant and the taste of the ingredients was clear. The raw scallops for the first course were very fresh. The sauce had a sour taste and was delicious. The red bean flatfish dish was very good. The fish was firm and had a good texture. The New Zealand lamb was a little hard, but I think the taste was good. The chocolate dessert was the best. The top part was mousse and the sweetness was just right. The biscuit part at the bottom was crispy. The chocolate ice cream that came on the side had a slight bitterness of cocoa and the sweetness was just right! The food here is French, but it uses a lot of Japanese ingredients, so it felt completely different from the French food I had in the UK.
Sadly, my recommendation is to avoid.
Beautiful setting, beautiful looking dishes, but nothing tasted excellent. In fact, many of the flavor combinations were a complete miss. We had the menu, and honestly, not a single dish was memorable in a positive way. I have been to a few Ducasse restaurants (mostly in Paris), but after this experience, may never again. The problem is that the food just doesn't taste fantastic. I wish there was more emphasis on flavor than on creating a plate that is trying way too hard to resemble a work of art. One of the dishes, lobster with green peas, the peas were under cooked. Undercooked green peas are unpalatable. The polenta accompanying the Kobe beef was definitely NOT polenta, but rather an American-style cornbread. And the baba au rhum, while beautifully and creatively presented, was lackluster. A good baba requires the cake be soaked in a very rich syrup, the syrup used for theirs was extremely diluted and therefore the cake became wet without being sufficiently sweet and flavorful. Very disappointing cheese cart and cheese service too. Only a few varieties to choose from and not served properly, specifically the quantity/size of each cheese. A+ for presentation and C+ for the taste of the food. The food is not worthy of a single star in my opinion. The fact that they have two, is perplexing to say the least.
Lunch course meal
The food did not wow me nor leave a memorable impression. Very mediocre and honestly not worth the price. Service is professional as expected but not warm. Not a place that I will visit again.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
