Be the first to ReplyA cuisine of great precision.
This is a very nice bistro! The restaurant is simple and small, but the show is on the plate! The choice of products, the mastery of cooking, the accuracy of the juices or sauces delight our taste buds! The plates are beautifully presented, in short it's a real delight. A pretty table to discover without hesitation.

Reference in the backpacker's guide….. is of no interest, ordinary cuisine, non-existent reception, should be removed from the guide…

We ate without reservation, on a Saturday lunchtime on the terrace. small menu offered, but of very good quality. Pleasant staff. we recommend this establishment which is located outside of Gordes; best wishes

Heartwarming welcome ! Very pleasant lunch on the terrace! The lunch menus are presented on a giant slate, the cuisine is perfect and the regional wine is very good! Small bistro outside Gordes but well worth the detour! I recommend 100%

we had two delicious dinners here -it was so good that we returned during our second week.Friendly charming staff and a pleasant atmosphere but the quality of the food was outstanding. We were a party of 6 people and on both occasions everything we ate was delicious and often quite unusual

Excellent dinner in this small restaurant. We had the best risotto of the trip, homemade fois gras, lobster creole ,duck magret and chocolate fondant and a bottle of wine for 105 euros. Delicious food with very friendly service.
Be the first to ReplyA Secret
This is a hidden gem in the sleepy village of Saint Pantelon. It has a lovely shady outdoor terrace and a very warm and cosy interior. Four of us went last weekend for dinner and as it was cold we ate inside. The kitchen is in partial view and you can see the chef at work. Everything seems cooked to order. We each had a delicious glass of champagne as an aperatif with some tapenade. A risotto and quail salads followed for starters followed by fish and roast duck for mains. We shared 2 desserts. The food was very good and it was nice to see the place was full so it must be well known in the area with locals and some visitors. The menu changes nearly every day and you need to book. The staff are also very friendly. It could become our local!!

We have heard lots of good news about the new management so we have decided to try by ourselves. I'm really glad we have reserved, as even on the weeknight it was full! The dinner was fantastic, with great food, and good wine suggested by the waitress. We'll be back, for sure! It's hard to find better value for money in this region.
Be the first to ReplyLovely food and service in a charming location
We had a thoroughly delightful meal at Bistrot Des Roques. Initially, we were confused by some of the reviews that seemed to be for a restaurant opened by the previous owners in another location. Fortunately, we ignored the confusion. This restaurant, with the original name and location, was a delight. We enjoyed well--prepared food and the service was well-paced and pleasant. Although there is a set menu, there were enough choices for our group. Among us, we tasted everything offered and enjoyed all of the dishes. The tiny town is charming, and we were able to eat on the terrace. We were able to use credit cards with no difficulty.

In the past we went to the old venue and had a reasonably good meal, although I always have had a problem with a set menu and supplements for most of the disches to coose from. First of all the basic menu had increased by 22% Service was lousy, 1 hour waiting time for main course. My wife did not eat her Rascasse fish as it was cold and did bathe in olive oil. The owner asked if everything was o.k although she could clearly see my wife had not touched her food. "Why was it not good?", "Because to greasy, cold and no taste". For everybody to hear around us she replied, "then you probably must have Covid". We did not want to drive the argument to the to so I went to pay the bill and plobitely asked to deduct the 5 Euros supplement for the fish. "No way she said and you have been most unfriendly with my personel" I only asked if the main course was arriving after one hour. "And, by the way, I do not want to see you in my restaurant any more. Obvious she will never see us again. I wish here and her husband good luck with her business if she dares to treat customers like that.

We decided to try this restaurant after reading a review in La Provence. We were blown away! The setting is perfect in one of the smallest villages in Provence, about an hour from Aix en Provence. Tables are available indoors and on a large outdoor patio. Reservations are definitely recommended. The “menu du marché” includes an interesting number of options. We chose the veal and the risotto dishes—very tasty, perfectly prepared and nicely presented. Prices are very reasonable (18 euros for three courses), and servings are generous The owners Charlotte and Benoit are delightful and take great pride in providing an outstanding experience. Their food and wine come from local producers. We will definitely return.

Wonderful discovery. Delicious, balanced dishes full of flavour and imagination. Delightful, friendly and welcoming service. We ate on the sunny terrace in January, a perfect spot.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous lunch!
Four of us had a super duper meal at Bistrot des Roques last week. The 3 course lunch was 18 euros, with supplements for one of the starters, and two of the main courses. The waitress spoke good English, and could explain the dishes quite well, which was great. The wine was by the bottle (no carafes). I will certainly be going again. Many thanks!

once in a while you stumble across something so special, so special that your heart misses a beat!
What more can I say, a chef who cooks with passion, a loving wife who knows a lot about wine and about running a restaurant!
Maybe if you come here, you might just feel that you have touched something magical, we did!!
