Right near the Montague Hotel, where we stayed, is this gem of a restaurant. We were seated almost immediately upon arriving in a lounge off the bar. This turned out to be a good place to sit, as this dining area was spacious and not as loud as the main dining room. We browsed the menu, which consists of a large amount of small plates. We decided to split at least three of these. We wound up splitting four. We started with crab bucatini, plum tomatoes, chilli and lemon butter- perfectly cooked and nicely flavored al dente pasta. Next were king prawns with olive oil, lemon, chilli and garlic, brimming with great flavors. Chargrilled chorizo al pil pil, roasted garlic, parsley, dried chilli 12 and white wine was a sheer delight with its nice, lean chorizo sausage. Prawn tempura with ama ponzu has crispy tempura crust. Wine pairings, with their extensive wine list by the glass were easy, and all the wines were good. All in all, this was a fun dining experience, with excellent service to boot.

Service is good. Music and environment is nice here. Near the British Musuem. It is convenient to have dinner here after an exhausting day of visiting the musuem.

Walking back to the hotel after a show in Covent Garden we were so fortunate to find dinner at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen and the attentive service of Bogdan. Interesting assortment of small plates of delicious Japanese and Mediterranean dishes. Delightful and original. Highly recommend this smart and modern restaurant.
