BOA Steakhouse Austin Reviews
Our group had a good dinner at BOA Steakhouse.
It was a big group, but the restaurant did a great job at keeping up and making sure everyone had everything they needed. I had a caesar salad, NY strip steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes as sides, and a cookie for dessert. I won't go into detail on each item, but I'll be honest with my general take on the food--it wasn't the best meal (or steak) I've ever had, but it was a good, solid meal.
BOA Steakhouse made my husband's birthday dinner truly
BOA Steakhouse made my husband's birthday dinner truly special. From the moment we sat down, our server brought energy, genuine enthusiasm, and thoughtful recommendations that made us feel celebrated all evening. We started with warm Parker House rolls and rich bone marrow with short rib. The scallops, seared and served in their shells with garlic butter, were a standout, followed by the impressive tomahawk steak carved tableside with a classic Caesar that was freshly tossed right in front of us. Truffle fries and lollipop lamb chops added to the feast--every dish came out perfectly prepared. We finished on a sweet note with the famous BOA cookie for dessert, savoring every bite while soaking in the social and vibrant atmosphere. The attentive staff made the night genuinely memorable--BOA's warm hospitality and attention to detail set a new bar for special occasions.
Attention to detail and they remember your face when you
Attention to detail and they remember your face when you walk in! Service was over the top...Food was great and the Ambiance is perfect at BOA!
My favorite steakhouse in Austin.
The steaks have a very simple seasoning so you can actually taste the meat and MR is perfection. They also have a gargantuan lobster tail if you're interested. The appetizers are great as well, shrimp cocktail, hamachi, even the deviled eggs are great. They also have the best fries of all the options in town. Beef Tallow fries. If like me, you love a steak frites. Great bar selection of high end options and always get the table side caesar salad. The wait staff is always on the lookout for each other and making sure the patrons are not in need of anything. The leadership team also does a great job of getting to know you and when you're a repeat customer. Cannot recommend this place any higher!!
BOA has an upscale, yet relaxed feel.
The staff is well trained, prompt and helpful. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helped us pick a wonderful French Bordeaux (my wife and I have a specific taste we look for in Bordeaux's, and he understood what we wanted). The server ensured that our food was spaced and served perfectly. The food was wonderful. We started with fresh shellfish and bubbly, and worked our way to outstanding beef with the aforementioned Bordeaux. Highly recommend.
Actually a really fun experience.
Make sure to get Alex. Hands down the friendliest and most authentic server. I went for my birthday and got steak (of course, steak frites to be specific), a mocktail, biscuits. 10/

First time here, and won't be our last! Staff very friendly and professional. Not too loud of an environment but still appreciated the decor and ambiance. Our waiter provided excellent knowledge about the menu which made my gf's birthday very special. Caviar cones were delicious and exquisite!! Love the blend of the purΓ©e' mashed potatoes Scallops were perfectly seared I had the smoke show bourbon which i would order again. I enjoyed my skirt steak, very flavorful and my gf enjoyed her curry thai plate as well!
Tried out Boa for Saturday, date night.
The waiter and sommelier were first class amazing and helpful. We were seated near the front so the table was just ok but the music was so loud!! If you have hearing issues or want to hear your partner, you might try another place or request a special table for people who actually want to hear each other. We ordered the Chilean sea bass and Westholme Wagu. Must admit all of the different steak options were a bit overwhelming and confusing. The fish was a little dry but we ordered without the sauce due to diet restrictions so probably not fair to judge that down. The steak was very tender and had a good taste but for the price, I was expecting to be blown away. Brussels get a 10! They were actually cooked through with big chunks of bacon. Tired of ordering Brussels sprouts and getting them half cooked and over crispy on the outside. A couple were sat next to us mid-meal and the way the tables are so close together it's pretty rude not to chat. Thankfully we got along just fine. All in all, it was not too bad but the music was a bit too much, probably reflecting preferences of the staff who were much younger than us.
Food was very tasty and the ambience was great.
. I like it there. The service was excellent too.
