BOISHAKHI RESTAURANT Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
I was the regular customer.
Me and wife used to go there every weeks to buy chicken tangra masala curry with white rice. Today, at 6 pm. I got very bad experience. I ordered it and paid $11. When come home , I checked it, it is fried rice and I called them. They started blaming me that I ordered fried rice. I told them that I am bringing back it to you and give curry with rice one. They said that they can not. What kind of service is that? Even I told them " God promise" that I said , " fried rice" . both lady said that I ordered fried rice. What kind of stupidness is that ? If ordered fried rice then why should call them. MY both sons dont like fried rice . I have the store and I have to listen customer's problem. I felt like it was very experience and I will not buy anything from there. They talked very rudly. That's not custormer service. Mind it. $11 is not big deal. .I used to like that's why, I used to walk 10 minutes to go there. I request restaurent owner to take care of it.
Garbage Food.
Will never go back here again! No taste in any food I ordered. Spicy chicken wings No taste, Veg pakora burned!!, Hakka singapore chicken noodle~ stinky chicken with turmeric color. When I moved to US about 22 years ago Tangra's food gave me
When I moved to US about 22 years ago Tangra's food gave me comfort in the land of the unknown. In all these years the quality and taste remain the same and so do the owners who are down to earth, generous and welcoming. Having tried a variation of dishes throughout the years my go to will always be chicken manchurian soup, chicken lollipop, chicken manchurian gravy, shrimp fried rice and Tangra masala noodles. These never fail to please my palate. Those of you who have yet to try Indian fusion Chinese, I would request you to please do so. You will need to try it to know why a lot of us South East Asians are so crazy about this merger of Indian flavors with Chinese dishes. And what better place than Tangra which has been an establishment in the Queens food scene since 2001.
drove 90 minutes after checking online their hours to find
drove 90 minutes after checking online their hours to find they were closed for a private event. Can you please update your website or please answer your phone so customers don't waste their 3 hours on a work night?
My experience with Oh Calcutta GK Delhi
We went with family and friends from Moscow, and it was a disappointment. Food was supposed to be authentic bengali food, we ordered Luchi Kosha Mangsho, Chingri Malai Curry but it was not at all cooked properly. Mutton was stale, prawns heads were more instead of flesh. I can tell this because I am bengali and love cooking. The food quality has deteriorated so badly that would neither go or recommend anyone to go there. People love bengali food so it should be traditional preparation and should not give wrong impression. The quantity is not worth the pricing. This was in GK Delhi. They should change there Chef.
We had a large group of family and friends for dinner here
We had a large group of family and friends for dinner here on Sunday and the food was outstanding. From the chicken momos and fish finger appetizer to the chicken lollipops, fried rice, bao, tacos (yes, tacos), and Chilli Chicken everything tasted great. However, the outstanding dish of the evening had to be the sticky ginger goat. Absolutely delicious! Next time we are in the Sunnyside area of Queens this place is definitely some place we will come back to.
Hopes dashed
We went with great hope only to be disappointedโฆ The food and the price they ask for is not compatibleโฆ taste is bland , quantity is so lessโ- if i am paying that much why should i not go to a five star restaurant n have authentic food thrโฆ its a big joke on their claiming to b serving bengali foodโฆ it doesnt taste like that and they are asking too much price for food not worth itโฆ they ask for service tax in the bill whch they shud not if i am not wrongโฆ very disappointing experience never wud recommend nor will visit second tymโฆ
Horrible unhygienic food!
Horrible unhygienic food! Ordered Kosha Mangsho ! It was cooked with a large insect in it. DO NOT EAT their food
I grew up going to Tangra and happened to be in the area
I grew up going to Tangra and happened to be in the area with a large group of family so we all went. The space is extremely large so I don't think reservations are ever needed to be honest. We ordered a whole bunch of food including soup, lollipop chicken, and several different noodle and beef & chicken dishes. It is definitely better to it's counterparts such as Sagar and is more affordable as well. I will return again with my family as it's halal and known well in the community.
This place is so gorgeous and big it's actually confusing
This place is so gorgeous and big it's actually confusing why it's empty and isn't filled with customers. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were definitely generous. The staff is nice and helping!
Wonderful restaurant - elegant space and delectable food.
Some of the. Best hot and sour soup you will find - in vegetarian and chicken versions. Great service and not too expensive. Highly recommended.
