Omg this place is <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FBOMB.

I placed my order online based on what was popular. While I was waiting for my order, I saw someone order this drink dessert so I got one too and so glad I did. I need to dine in here soon. Take out was awesome. I can only imagine how much better it'll taste dining in! The service was quick and friendly. The inside seemed cute! Will definitely come here again!
Be the first to ReplyDank ass authentic tasting Indonesian food.
This place gets busy on the weekends. Decently priced food for $11-13 a dish, good sized portions. I had the fried chicken curry and also tried the gado gado (fried tofu appetizer). Their indonesian coffee is good. Def would recommend this place. Decent service.
Be the first to ReplyThe Singapore Laksa was the right blend of spicy and sweet
The Singapore Laksa was the right blend of spicy and sweet coconut milk. It had a soy egg, fried tofu, bean sprouts along w egg noodles. It was satisfying on a rainy chilly evening. The roti didn't taste homemade and came w a small 'tureen' of curry dipping sauce. The 2 small pieces of roti was more doughy like naan and at $9 wasn't worth it. I'd pass next time. The restaurant is like a street stall but inside. A bit on the grungy side w lots of character.
Be the first to ReplyAn Indonesian-Singaporean-Malayasian fusion spot just off
An Indonesian-Singaporean-Malayasian fusion spot just off of the busy main street in Alhambra. There's a parking garage in the back of the restaurant where you can park for free for 4 hours. The restaurant is a bit small/ cramped, so it can feel a bit claustrophobic and the noise level can easily get high when it's during peak hours. Service overall was decent. Staff were friendly, but a bit slow/inefficient. I think the language barrier plays a part. Overall, the food was good, but heavy on the sauces. 1. Roti Prata (4.5/5)A grilled pancake that has a texture similar to the Chinese green onion pancake, but the flavor was more sweet and doughy rather than savory. Dip in the Indo curry = sweet, slightly savory & coconutty.2. Chicken Satay (2.5/5)It is marinate in some sort of teriyaki-like sauce topped with peanut sauce. Let's just say this was too saucy to enjoy3. Gado Gado Salad (3/5)Mixed lettuce with egg, tofu, cucumber & peanut sauce/dressing. The peanut sauce ratio greatly outweighed the amount of lettuce and other ingredients. If the ratio of peanut sauce:lettuce was more balanced, it would be a 5/5.4. Kalimantan (5/5)You choose from a base of either rice, egg noodle or flat rice noodle. It is then cooked together with char shiu, fish cake, fish ball and egg in their special sauce. This was our favorite dish. The sauce to ingredient ratio was perfect. It was savory and full of fragrant flavors.5. Singapore Laksa (3/5)Again, you choose from a base of either rice, egg noodle or flat rice noodle. I got it with the flat rice noodle. The soup base is kind of like tom yum with more coconut curry flavor. It comes with a soy-tea egg, shrimp, tofu. The overall flavor was good, but nothing super special. It is heavy, so will easily fill you up.6. Lemak (4.5/5)Fried chicken, fried tofu, curry egg mixed with their special coconut fragrant rice with the option to top it with some delicious spicy peanut anchovy sauce. Warning, the peanut anchovy sauce is quite spicy.

We went on a Saturday afternoon, parking at the nearby parking structure. The restaurant is pretty small and clean, and the staff were friendly. The menu is on the QR code, and we ordered the chicken satay and roti to start. I had the laksa and my husband had the nasi campur. I also tried the Bornean style iced shaken coffee. Everything we ordered was really tasty! Loved the sauce and the flavor of the chicken satay. The laksa broth was really yummy (if you like coconut you would love this), I got it with egg noodles but would try it with the vermicelli next time. There was a lot of noodles so I wasn't able to finish it. My husband enjoyed the nasi campur, he liked the char siu the most among the 3 meats (the fried chicken and the Chinese sausage were good as well). I really liked the iced coffee, but husband did not like it as much as he said it was too creamy and sweet for him. It reminded us of the iced Vietnamese coffees (like from Lee's), but it was sweeter and creamier. Can't wait to try the Bornean dessert drink next time.We liked the food so much that we decided to have the Borneo Fried Rice to go.. to try at home for the next meal! And it did not disappoint.. even reheated, it tasted great. We ate it with our leftover chicken satay.. yum.We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place.

Super delicious food! We ordered a dish from each category- noodle soup, noodles, and rice dish. We got the Nasi campur rice dish with Chinese sausage, fried chicken, marinated egg, and char siu. The unique thing that tied it all together was the gravy. I tried a Chinese dish that is similar but this was delicious and unique. We got the curry noodle soup dish - Singaporean Laksa. So delicious and a fusion of flavors. The egg noodles reminded me of ramen and the curry broth was perfect. We also ordered the stir fried flat noodles that reminded me of the Thai Pad See Ew - Hokkien Mie. My absolute favorite is the Kopi - Bornean shaken iced coffee. I don't know what's in it, but I've never tasted anything so heavenly. If I could, I would probably order this everyday. I ordered two more cups to-go to enjoy the next day. Highly recommend the coffee, curry soup, and rice dish. Staff were friendly and prompt. Lots of seating options with cute interior design.

If you're looking for something new and exciting to try, Borneo Kalimantan Cuisine is definitely worth a visit. This Indonesian and Singaporean restaurant is a hidden gem, offering a wide range of unique and flavorful dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds.My party of three visited on a Sunday evening and were seated quickly by the friendly hostess. As newcomers to this cuisine, we relied on our server's recommendations and were not disappointed. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken satay and roti, both of which were flavorful and delicious. The peanut sauce on the satay was especially memorable. For our mains, we tried the laksa, the borneo flat rice noodles from the wok, and the nasi campur rice plate. Each dish had its own distinct flavor profile and was expertly prepared. My personal favorite was the laksa, which was savory and satisfying. The portions were generous, and we all left feeling full and satisfied. As for the price, we thought it was very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. The portions were good-sized and filling, and we felt that we got our money's worth. The only downside to our experience was the service. While our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, we did have to ask multiple times for utensils and to-go boxes. However, the flavor and quality of the food more than made up for any minor inconveniences.Overall, I would highly recommend Borneo Kalimantan Cuisine to anyone looking to explore new flavors and cuisines. The food is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable.

I found this place a year or two ago and I am consistently impressed with all their dishes. I have ordered to go several times but this was my first time dining inside. There is casual indoor only dining with many seats and small tables and light ambient music playing in the background. The service was great! We were seated right away and the waitress was friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations. The dishes I ordered were the Roti Prata, Chicken Satay, Indo Style and Singapore Laksa with egg noodle. The Roti Prata and accompanying sauce is so delicious and I probably could have eaten 4 of them. The chicken satay was full of flavor with a crispy outside and moist inside 10/10 amazing. The Indio style had the vibe of a pad see ew with the chicken from the chicken satay and was so so good. Lastly, the Singapore Laksa was so warm, comforting and bursting with flavor perfect for a cold day. I highly recommend checking this place out. Its a true hidden gem in Alhambra and provides a unique blend of dishes and flavors. The service is great, the dishes are out of this world delicious and you will be happy you came!Edit: There is a free parking lot/structure behind the building or street parking on Main St.

This spot is definitely a hidden gem that can easily be missed. Tucked away on the streets of Garfield and Main Street, this small restaurant serves delicious Malaysian, Indonesian, and Singaporean dishes! We came on a Saturday night around 8pm and there was a small wait. The parking structures were packed since it was a weekend, but there are plenty of free parking options around Main Street. We ordered most of their popular dishes and they were all fantastic! We got 2 pieces of the Roti Prata, the Singapore Laksa with vermicelli, and the Nasi Compur.- Roti Prata: I used to eat these growing up as they were sold in the frozen packages in Asian supermarkets, and they are just as good i as remembered, but what makes this better is their Indonesian curry sauce that pairs so well with the pancake.- Singapore Laksa with vermicelli: so goood! This was probably my favorite dish on the cold day that I went. The curry broth was so comforting and delicious! The soup wasn't as thick and heavy as I thought it would be being that it was a curry based broth, but I'm glad it wasn't and was instead a light, comforting curry flavored soup with shrimp, fish tofu, egg, and corn. The vermicelli noodles were so good with the soup because it absorbed all the flavor.- Nasi Compur: this rice plate comes with an assortment of toppings - char siu, Chinese sausage, fried chicken, and marinated egg with their gravy broth. I loved the flavor of the rice and meats! I enjoyed it even more with the spicy sauce they offer on the tables. We also got the Cendol drink, which is a Bormean dessert drink. This tasted pretty decent. It was a coconut base with green jelly and a sweet sugar syrup that tasted similar to brown sugar boba drinks.Overall a great spot for Southeast Asian food. I would definitely recommend trying them out!

This is one of my favorite Indonesian places outside of a family gathering. The atmosphere is nice. The roti prata is especially delicious. I usually get the beef rendang and love it every time. For some reason, they use lettuce instead of cabbage in their gado gado. The service is not always great, but it is worth it for the food. Seriously, this place is bomb. Go there.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious.
I ordered a hen with curry and curry rice which was very crispy and taste. Not quite indian curry, but close to it, definitely more similar to indian curry than Thai or Japanese curry. Also had an order of the Satay, which was by far my favorite thing. Cooked perfectly and coated with a delicious curry peanut sauce. I really liked this place and hope to be in the area more often to try out other dishes.
