How this place has anything more than 2, MAYBE 3 stars, blows my mind. I get the focus on wanting healthy food but at this point, I'd just go to homegrown which is consistently delicious. My partner and I both had the Havana Libre bowl with chicken and there was no flavor in that whole dish that stood out. They had the audacity to liken this bowl to Cuban food? Hard pass. In fact, I had to add salt multiple times to get any semblance of flavor. I would pay more money for "Pollo Tropical" (in the same class as Chipotle) than eat here. Especially since they served a sorry excuse for chicken which quite honestly tasted like instant pot salsa chicken (this isn't a good thing). I'm glad I tried out this place so the itch to try it is now gone forever, but don't let this cute place fool you - it's not good. I should've trusted the vibe a bit more - which had only a couple customers during what should typically be a bustling lunch time.

2.5/5 I am interested in eating, "healthy food," from restaurants and it seems like there is an attempt here, but it definitely left more to be desired. Daily Soup: Far too oily, we don't know what oils restaurants use because they don't post it publicly. If it's vegetable oil or anything ultraprocessed (soybean oil, canola oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, etc), I don't want it. If it's olive oil, butter, ghee, avocado oil, macadamia nut oil or coconut oil then publicly state it so we can have awareness. The braised beef was so salty, it was almost inedible. Strange flavors of soy and salt, maybe some vinegar and it just feels a little imbalanced or a little off. Anyway, I am being more critical of this restaurant because it is advertised as healthy and I have high standards considering the increasing levels of disease in America. I cook most meals at home anyway due to dismal health options at restaurants available currently even in Seattle. If the meat is going to be that salty, it just ruins the rest of the meal anyway. Maybe put salt packets or soy sauce on the side as an easily available option. The problem with high salt is that it dehydrates the body, which in turn increases the circulating blood sugar and thus insulin release, inflammation, and potential addition of dangerous visceral fat (linked to organ disease). However, I believe that there is potential here. Maybe today's chef was not on their A-Game. I would try this restaurant one more time in the future to give it another chance.
Be the first to ReplyCame in on Sunday around 11am, and it was fairly empty.
Tables were clean, but we did have to move a table for the 3 of us to fit with all of our food haha You come in, place your order and pay, and then your food is brought to you. One of my friends had been here before, and she said to make sure to get the pancakes. I am not usually a pancake person, but these were kind of thinner. So not as dry. And they come with a cinnamon butter! So good. Everything else was so delicious as well. I got a salmon sandwich, the sandwich was a little dry, but the ciabatta was so soft. I love carbs haha I was just in town visiting for the weekend so we talked a bit, I think around 12 or 12:30, business started picking up. It got a little louder but not by much. Overall a great spot in Cap Hill.

Stopped here while in Seattle for the night for a healthy meal, and thought there would be more salad options including vegan protein options. I opted for their "On The Wagon" Detox Salad. It was a good salad but wish I could have added a protein like tofu or jackfruit. Service was fast bringing the food but multiple tables around me were left with dirty dishes on them pretty much the whole time I was there. I had higher hopes for this spot, but didn't fully deliver unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre food and crappy service.
My friends and I came for brunch on Sunday, it was nice so we sat out on the patio. As our food was delivered two hornets started landing on our food. My partner got up abruptly to move away from the bugs. The waiter said dismissively, "It's just a bee" as if my partner overreacted. My friend said, "He's very allergic" to which the server replied, "Well, you guys could move inside." If you have an outdoor patio, I expect you're trying to keep bugs off your guests. And when someone is upset by hornets, don't minimize their concern over a legitimate allergy concern. The food was mediocre at best. My friend's avocado toast was literally just smashed avocado on toast with some salt and a few sprigs of arugula. It barely filled the plate! My partner's breakfast sandwich was served on soggy ciabatta and was an over cooked egg (it was supposed to be poached) with a slice of ham and some dry arugula. No spread or dressing, no side. I ordered the scramble which took up barely half the plate and came lukewarm with shredded, unmelted cheese on top. My plate was finished with two tiny slices of sourdough and some scallions for garnish (some were huge chunks and others nice slivers). For such a simple dish that most people could prepare at home, $18 is way too much. The "famous house-made" bloody mary I got to drink? Chunky with tomato pulp and seeds so it was difficult to drink. The bathroom trash was overflowing while four people on the waitstaff were socializing at the bar. We won't be coming back and we've shared our poor experience with this restaurant with our friends. For the same price, you can find much better service and higher quality food elsewhere.

We were in the area wanting a healthy meal and both of our bowls were phenomenal! Very cute place with a nice patio and charming interior. This may be one of my favorite spots I ate while visiting Seattle.
Be the first to ReplyLove this place.
Great food, always so fresh and tasty, quite a few of healthy choices on the menu. The service is very friendly and nice. It's my 5th time here, probably, and I'm constantly in love.

Ordered a forager scramble and the griddle cakes, along with a lavender iced latte and some OJ. I thought the forage scramble was good, but wasn't anything too crazy. The coffee was yummy, but I had asked for less ice and a to-go cup. Food came relatively fast, and it was a nice place to eat!

Delicious, fresh, inventive, deeply flavourful, and affordable! With friendly service, and a place to sit in the shade outside or many seating options inside. We were delighted!

Certainly healthy, fresh, and delicious!! I wouldn't say it's anything mind blowing but I appreciate the care towards organic and homemade food! Ordering was quick as well. You order at the front, get a number, and find a place to sit. We sat at their patio but there is also plenty of seating inside. It would be great for large groups as well!

Be the first to ReplyMeh! Food is mediocre.
Staff is ok. The place is empty. Nothing great about this place other than the location. Lots of other great choices on the block to choose from.
Be the first to ReplyThe best food on the hill.
Lots of healthy vegan choices. Beautiful outdoor space. Can't wait to return. Been to the Queen Anne Bounty, same great food. Try the gluten free pancakes. Yummmmmmmm

Unless you enjoy your meals with a side of body shaming and mansplaining, avoid Bounty Kitchen!!!I'm not usually one for reviews but wanted to let folks know about a particularly lame experience I had at Bounty Kitchen on Capitol Hill. This situation involves who I learned is one of the owners, Russ, so the same can unfortunately be applied to all of their locations.A relative and I hit Bounty Kitchen for brunch. When I ordered the breakfast sandwich from Russ, he asked me out of nowhere if I was expecting. Very odd to say the least, but I just said no and didn't get into it. (He was already a bit all over the place and having issues getting our order straight. We just wanted to pay and sit down.)But instead of letting the strange encounter pass or offering an apology, Russ dug himself deeper into a hole by explaining that he'd asked me that question because I "looked kind of puffy around the middle" and he "knows poached eggs aren't good for pregnant women."We aren't talking about someone's senile grandpa here. A person who owns multiple businesses in Seattle should know better than to provide unsolicited commentary on people's bodies or mansplain to women -- pregnant or not -- what they should or shouldn't be eating. Aside from it being none of your business, any customer could have an eating disorder, fertility issues, a hidden disability and so on.To add insult to injury, we caught wind of some snarky comments that Russ was making to his staff out in the open. Upon reading some of the Yelp reviews, this sadly doesn't seem to be an isolated incident.I had all but written Bounty off after getting a subpar, overpriced to go salad from them in the past. We'd originally planned to go to Rocket Taco across the street (who are amazing!) but decided to give the Bounty Kitchen brunch options a chance. Needless to say, we won't be back. I hope my terrible experience at least sheds some light on the type of people who are running the place. For what it's worth, my meal was nothing to write home about. Definitely not worth the price and came served to me on a plate with many chips around the edge. Classy all around!

The owner makes comments about customers bodies, his only job is to make his customers feel welcome. And the food is mediocre at best.
Be the first to ReplyTasty, healthy, and a lot of variety at a reasonable price.
I would eat here any night. The food is filling but feels "light". Cucumber lemon water is a nice touch.

Delicious brunch in a beautiful, light-soaked setting, fresh ingredients, lovely staff, ample seating. Family-friendly, perfect for breakfast and brunch dates. One of my favorite Capitol Hill brunch spots - flavorful, healthy fare with a wide selection of options, from the ever popular griddle cakes and scrambles (recommend Forager's Scramble!), salads and grain Bowls (get the Marrakech Market bowl or the Braised Beef bowl). Large selection of clean juices and brunch cocktails (something for everyone!) Located in a charming stretch of Capitol Hill (Stevens) SE of Volunteer Park, next to Hello Robin and Cone & Steiner.Neighborhood street parking can be dicey, so just leave enough time to get lucky!
Be the first to ReplyNice little neighborhood restaurant for casual dining.
I appreciate that they'll turn the outdoor heaters on for you without your even asking, and even if you're the only table outside. Service is quick and friendly, the food is tasty, they have great vegetarian options in addition to their meat-based meals, and my latte was just perfect. I'll keep coming back!

I was looking for a quick bite during my lunch break and happened to stumble across this placeThe staff were really warm and inviting and the food was top notch! I could tell the ingredients were quality - I got one of their bowls and have never enjoyed sweet potatoes so much in my life They have pretty solid Wi-Fi and a sizeable space to sit as well , the vibes are great but they do start getting a little busy later in the afternoon!
Be the first to ReplyVisiting Seattle and this is our first time here.
The Marrakech salad was excellent!! Unfortunately, the man named Russ, meeting people at the counter, had a terrible attitude and was incredibly rude to speak with when asking to sit on the patio. I would come back for the food, but otherwise I wouldn't return, due to the attitude given during ordering and seating. I hope he takes a hint, from my review (as well as another recent reviewer), that his personality leaves a very poor taste in your mouth, which almost overpowers the items on the menu.
