Brand Hotel Aspen Reviews from The Last Year
The Best Location in Aspen
Just recently I enjoyed a staycation at W Aspen during the off-season. It was the perfect hotel to relax and spend time with my husband and friends over my birthday. The location of W Aspen couldn’t be better. With a path practically right outside the front door that leads directly to the gondola, and a local’s favorite, The Ute Trail, just a short walk up the street. A local favorite restaurant, Jour de Fete, is also across the street. W Aspen incorporates the history of Aspen in a retro and funky manner. You’ll see mining elements, including a large silver nugget DJ booth to represent the largest silver nugget that was discovered, and then stolen, in a railroad heist. You’ll also be taken back to the red light district of the 1870’s & 1880’s. If you think Aspen is wild now imagine it when it was rougher and rowdier with miners and prospectors getting restless, think brothels, saloons, and gambling dens. Another fun touch for me as a writer was the notecards left by my bed, comically beckoning me to pick up a pen and start writing. W Aspen has four WOW suites and one Extreme WOW, paying homage to Ute Native Americans who originally inhabited the valley and can be seen in the prints and patterns displayed throughout the room. Had we gotten this room, we only would have gotten into trouble so perhaps it’s a good thing we didn’t. I’ve thrown many an Aspen Business Connect party up on the WET® Deck, and some of my favorite moments were when the weather was lousy. Getting into the elements makes for better connecting when there are fire pits to keep you warm. It’s also fun to work on the WET® Deck. I mean, talk about an office with a view! Even on vacation, staying connected to work can be a necessity, especially when you do what I do. Lounge poolside and dip into the heated pool and hot tub for distraction rather than checking your Instagram feed. We also enjoyed the most delicious dinner at 39 Degrees, W Aspen’s signature restaurant, Chef Alexis Torris from Dubai offers a menu of retro-inspired dishes with a modern twist. The indoor and outdoor dining spaces provide the perfect setting to enjoy $8 cocktails and sliders, making it a must-visit during your stay. I will be dreaming about those fish tacos for months to come. Fernanda took such good care of us and I liked that she shook things up by serving my birthday dessert before the entrees came. My stay at W Aspen was nothing short of extraordinary. The hotel’s perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and impeccable service made it a standout destination in Aspen. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo retreat, W Aspen offers an unforgettable experience that caters to every type of traveler. I’m thinking that perhaps I should explore all of the Marriott Bonvoy® hotels around the world, what do you think?
Top Notch in Every WAY!
I took my daughter here after her high school graduation. We had the best experience EVER! Everyone was kind and friendly, our room was beautiful and clean, the food was delicious, the rooftop was stunning and also had a morning yoga class, the gym was beautiful and had everything I needed, and Diego made our stay personal and special from the moment we arrived. I honestly cannot think of anything that wasn't top notch about staying here. Highly recommend to all and will definitely return to this location again!!!!
Good Aspen option
Rooms are small, but but nicely appointed, with plenty of closet space. The location couldn’t be better, a short walk to the Ajax base, and nice common areas (though the roof /pool hot tub was a disappointment ), valet park wing was quite convenient and while interaction with the staff was limited, they were all helpful.
Really Great Stay
Wonderful place, really went out of their way to make sure the experience is good. Rooms were nice and clean and restaurant and food was very good. They have a very good buffet for breakfast and a great rooftop pool. They have a nice fitness area and the airport transportation and town transportation was a big help.
My Experience at W Aspen: A Balanced Review
My recent six-night stay at the W Aspen, made possible through points and shared with friends, left me with mixed feelings that reflect the highs and lows of this upscale establishment. Upon arrival, the gesture of offering prosecco at the check-in desk was a pleasant touch, although I would have preferred it served in a glass rather than a plastic cup. Despite encountering some challenges with my reservations due to the hotel's stringent cancellation policy, the staff efficiently accommodated my requests, allowing me to switch to a more desirable room on a higher floor after the initial night. As an Ambassador elite member, I appreciated the personalized attention extended to me, including the opportunity to tour alternative rooms and select one that better suited my preferences. The breakfast buffet, a highlight for elite members, was truly delightful, boasting a diverse selection of fresh and savory options that catered to discerning tastes. Throughout my stay, the housekeeping and turndown services were consistently impeccable, complemented by thoughtful amenities like quality bath products and indulgent chocolates. The hotel's strategic location, while not offering ski-out convenience, proved convenient for accessing Aspen's attractions. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's responsiveness to my needs after sustaining an injury while skiing, promptly providing a wheelchair for my comfort and convenience. Moreover, overhearing the hotel's general manager express his vision for elevating the guest experience underscored the team's commitment to excellence and community engagement. However, my overall impression was tempered by a few notable shortcomings. The malfunctioning hot tub throughout my stay was disappointing, and hearing about welcome amenities received by other guests but not extended to me felt like a missed opportunity to enhance my experience. Furthermore, the lack of privacy in the first-floor rooms, especially considering the premium price point, is a notable concern that warrants attention. The resort fee, coupled with parking charges, felt disproportionately high given the value provided. Despite these drawbacks, I remain open to revisiting the W Aspen in the future, acknowledging the luxury it offers amidst areas ripe for improvement. Ultimately, my stay was characterized by both positive and negative experiences, highlighting the hotel's potential for delivering a truly exceptional guest experience.
No exactly Wow anymore
Recent stay in Aspen at the W and it was underwhelming. I have stayed here several times over the years. Location is great. People were friendly and helpful but the vibe has lost its luster. Not exactly alot of choices as a Bonvoy member so it is what it is. The roof was empty all three days (and nights) and hot tub was broken. Not even a bartender. Total disappointment on the vibe. Breakfast was underwhelming as is the entire property now. Way over priced for what you get . Even for Aspen. They were on time to pick us up at the airport and its a 10 min ride to the hotel. Transportation was good back snd forth to dinners. Concierge was unable to make any reservations for us for dinner as all the hot spots were “unavailable” ….. Amex took care of it though. It seems they are resting on the W name, location, and reputation. It needs a reno and to not have the roof and lobby/ fire pit going strong fir Apres ski’ was a huge disappointment.
Best hotel experience!
The absolute best overall hotel experience! Amazing staff, beautiful resort, perfect location, and all the amenities and perks you can never even imagine exist are offered by the staff here! A special thank you to Diego and the WhateverWhenever team for their exceptional attention, service, and hospitality throughout our entire stay.
Diego is amazing!!
A group of 11 of us stayed at the W Aspen early August to celebrate a 30th birthday and bachelorette. Diego and his team took our trip to the next level. From top notch communication, to in-room extras, to the most special touches with a build-your-own rooftop spritz bar and so much more. Our trip wouldn’t have been as memorable if he wasn’t involved. I can’t recommend this hotel or Diego enough!!!!
Wonderful experience!
I had the best time! We were celebrating my partner’s birthday, and Diego, the W Insider, and his entire team made sure that we had a great time in Aspen—which we did! They helped me prepare a special surprise for our arrival; they helped us with cars to and from the airport; and they even helped us find a romantic hike on the mountains. The pool was also nice and chill.
Delightful stay!
Loved our stay, super personalised touch every day with Diego, who was a delight to deal with. Super comfy rooms, even for our doggo who didn’t want to leave! A very classy and enjoyable time at the W! Thanks guys!

Anyone know how increase payout transfer to bank as I can only send $50 a day and they charge $5 for every transaction. There must be a way. I’ve contacted support two days ago and not a reply.
