Brick Farm Tavern Hopewell Reviews from The Last Year
Perhaps people should have a heads up before coming here.
It was very difficult to get a reservation for Mother's day, and guests are not supposed to stay "over 2 hours." A little difficult to do so when the food takes 3 hours to come out. It seemed like the restuarant forgot about tables despite half the restuarant being empty (which doesn't make sense since all reservations were taken), and as a result it took around 40-50 minutes to get started. The waiters were not around to help, and there was no sense of urgency despite even water taking around 30 minutes to come by. The main dishes ended up being overcooked to the point of disrespect (again perhaps they were left on the stove and forgotten about), with the pork chop having been drained of all possible moisture and the steak actually tasting more like sour/bitter char than actual meat. $95 dollars a person is outrageous and insulting for this quality of food, let alone service. Overall extremely disappointing; please reconsider even if you're only looking for the bare minimum.
Another place I truly love.
I have been here 3 times. One of those was for a tasting menu. Even the salads were delectable. My first quail egg. I will say that ordering the wine pairings with the tasting menu was too much for me to ingest. Next time I would simply order one drink, but for someone who is not a smaller woman, this would not be an issue, I imagine. The service is impeccable, and it's a beautiful atmosphere. I think they grow their greens right on site, as there is produce growing behind the tavern and lot. I am anxious to do another tasting menu with Brick Farm Tavern again. It's a grand experience.

I was recently there on Saturday this week with my nephew and his children. The waiter was extremely gracious, however, the food was subpar. I ordered a frittata that was extremely dry with no taste whatsoever, and the salad had no dressing discernible on it. I love the atmosphere And the location however the food was not up to par on this visit. The butcher shop is amazing and has a lot to offer.
We went restaurant week for a birthday dinner celebration.
Had a reservation. They put 6 of us in a table for 4 comfortably my husband having to sit on the end practically in the middle of the room. Server wasn't friendly at all guess it was because she knew she'd be getting the 22% tip added to our bill. Since when is 22% okay to add on when the service was subpar. We are excellent tippers but she forgot my drink 2 times! Keep rushing us for the order when some of us just got there. Sorry but the portions left some of us still hungry after the 4 course paring dinner. Pork chop was about 4 bites. Only good meal was the burger I ordered and it cost me over $500 for this dinner. I never order beef out but nothing thrilled me on the menu. Also my dessert was supposed to be served with fresh whipped cream. Had to ask the server what happened to it. Then had to wait again until it was brought out. I'm not recommending this restaurant unless you like to overpay for just okay food and service.
Beautiful interior.
Different rooms so quiet and cozy. Our waitress Kiki was great! Had the prix fix menu for restaurant week. Thought the carrots were undercooked. Hamburger was good. Cheesecake was a great ending!

I"ve been there multiple times for dinner small plates and drinks. Everything is very good and fresh. My clients especially liked the arancini the pickled vegetables and the samosas. The staff is very nice and I like the patio and outdoor area. For me it's a neighborhood place so I stop frequently . My kids like going here for their birthday. Small Kids are welcome here .
Needs more veggie friendly options that are not pasta
Good food, but a very meat heavy restaurant. Bread was good and the fish I had was also ok. Tough with so few choices for a non meat eater.
Went for lunch with friends midweek.
Everyone loved everything from the tender grilled chicken over farm salad to a perfect rendition of any cheese lover's veggie burger to the sausage of the day. Generous pours and portions, good service. Bonus was the natural daylight filtering through the arches and playing on the interior touches.
My partner and I went there for dinner last night.
The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. We ordered the tasting menu and it was delicious!
Farm fresh food.
Recommend coming here for brunch as dinner prices are quite high. The menu for lunch is fairly similar but at a more reasonable price.
The ambiance is nice and comfortable, good service, however
The ambiance is nice and comfortable, good service, however the food did not live up to the hype or the price. It was just OK. I personally won't go back.
We were there Tuesday night for their community dinner.
The offers were half a chicken for one for $30 or a whole chicken for two for $48. Both came with Mac and cheese, pickled vegetables, biscuits, and spiced honey. You algo get $6 house wine and beer The chicken was tender and juicy. The spiced honey was great for the chicken and biscuit. The Mac and cheese was cheesy delicious!!!! We ordered an extra apple salad to split to make it more a balanced meal.
Food is delicious and the place is beautiful.
Helpful staff with great recommendations.

Been coming here about twice a year for the past several years. We live an hour away so needless to say we loved it. Never had anything other than a great experience until this past Friday night. Three of our party ordered a $75 steak, and all three steaks were barely warm, and indeed were cold after a few bites. Apps were hit or miss. We were all very surprised until we read some other recent reviews noting a lately change of management. That explains it I guess. We will not be returning.
Really wanted to eat here but we didn't get seated.
We tried calling at 4pm but they weren't open. We saw on their reservation site that there were open tables all night so we made the drive- assuming that we could get a table. I called from the parking lot at 4:50 and reached the hostess who told me our party of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) could wait in the bar. When we arrived at 5pm, she told us to wait in the bar. 45 min pass and I check in and I was told they're all booked. I want to try the place again because I heard the food was good, but the confusion around getting a table and the limited space at the bar was less than ideal. The beer we had at the bar was good though.
Amazing food and setting
Everything was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good was amazing (try the squash perogi app). Interesting and well priced wine list. We really loved our first dinner here. I will not be the last
Oh, well
finally got to this highly touted local farm-to-table restaurant, thanx to a gift certificate from dear friends. We were eager to use it, and our anniversary was the perfect time to 'cash in' on a nice lunch. Here's my (our) summation of the meal. Ambiance/decor was great. Menu selection was fair. My wife elected to try two $9.00 lighter fare entries; a mixed greens salad with basically nothing but mixed greens and bare minimalist dressing (she had to ask for more), and a vegetable risotto, which was not even close to risottos we have been accustomed to on so many other menus: it was NOT creamy, and was dry with farro grain and primarily soft pearl onions mixed in. I elected to try the grass-fed cheeseburger on a brioche bun. My take on their most popular menu item: disappointing untoasted roll, medium-grilled (wanted med.-rare) patty which was much more blah in rich beef flavor than most 1/2 pound high end burgers available elsewhere in area, and came with steakhouse fries which were LIBERALLY salted - quite a presumptuous move on their part. The meat was not juicy and succulent like I was hoping for. We were provided 'still water' which was a turnoff for my palate only because it was room temperature with no ice. The ale I must admit was a home run... though at $10 for 8 ounces it had damned well better be . We elected to finish our meal with a teeny weeny slice of pistachio strawberry glace which we shared at $12.00. All in all, an underwhelming anniversary meal; we unfortunately will not be returning. (Kudos to our waiter Rick; he was top-notch).
