My 60's and my daughter's 30's
After having visited several Michelin star restaurants in Madrid I had the experience of visiting Capa for the first time. Starting with the punctuality of the reservation, the treatment of the staff was excellent from the host to the waitresses and the support staff. The atmosphere was very friendly and something that I really liked was the visual exhibition of the kitchen. The food was Michelin-level with GF and VEG options. Highly recommended if you are celebrating a special occasion or any important event.
Be the first to ReplySomething unexpected, very bad service
It is a shame that a restaurant in Four Seasons has bad service, something unexpected in a hotel of the chain, the Bartender did not pay attention, the waitress with very bad treatment. I hope they can change the manager, that must be where the problem lies.

a very LOUD restaurant and I expected more from a michlien star place. Service was good but not extraordinary Tapas was good but the steak was hit or miss. My filet was over done the others at our table were ok. Sauces good but potato puree was like baby food and was way too thin. Other sides ok. Waiter tried to upsell everything to drive the ticket up. WAY to much salt on everything The wine list is mediocre! wines by the glass are lack luster and the entire list is not great and way over priced Dessert was good

The food was outrageous. Every bit of it. The seafood was amazing. The Iberico Pluma was the best steak I've ever had. And it's not a steak!! Staff was polite and welcoming. There was quite a bit of dust on the floors and window leading to the patio. Might be a turn off for some people.

Itโs always good always above the rest but when youโre healed up on that pedestal u need to stay there not saying its not but I think they need a little kick in the pants donโt get me wrong still awesome but sometimes they take it for granted and they need to work a little harder come and enjoy you wonโt be disappointed

This is one of those meals wherein you take your time, have a cocktail, order some wine, order several tapas, before diving into the entrees. We started out with several tapas including the Croquetas, Cerdo, Gambas, etc before moving into our mains that included a Lamb Rack, Aged Rib Eye, and a couple of 3 oz Wagyus. Everything came out perfectly. I also do want to give a shout out to our server, Alicia. Sometimes the server can really add to the experience. Alicia was so knowledgeable it was like she wrote the menu. She knew not only the ingredients but the process of making each dish we asked about. Well done Capa!
Be the first to ReplyMediocre Steak, Have Jamon and Cheese Instead
We are HUGE fans of the Four Seasons Ravello restaurant and eat there almost every night while at the resort. Amazing pasta, wines and cocktails. Booked Capa one night and it was a huge disappointment - NYC steakhouse prices for below average steak (bone in ribeye looked like a piece of meat purchased at the supermarket - thinly cut and no surface char) and over-engineered sides. Would not recommend if looking for steak.
Be the first to ReplyThis Michelin Star is not shining so brightly
This was a birthday dinner for my daughter All started out well, our server Jenny was very pleasant. We ordered cocktails and oysters. We then proceeded to order some tapas plates which they held until after the fireworks. We ordered entrees around 8:15. 8:45, 9:00, 9:15, 9:30 comes and goes no entrees. Finally after I got up to speak to the manager the entrees showed up at 9:45 the steaks were not very hot however at this time we just ate. The only thing they could say is we have no idea how this happened. At the end of the evening Jenny our server did say our entire check was being comped and someone would be reaching out to me, I have not heard from anyone What should have been a lovely birthday dinner for my daughter turned into total chaos

The best Valet, Hosts, Servers, Bar Staff, Management of any restaurant in Florida. The entire experience is 5 star. Thank you Capa and The Four Seasons.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing for a Michelin Star restaurant and for the price
This restaurant is very nice, but I can NOT understand, see or taste how it got a Michelin Star! The service was mediocre (not attentive, appeared under-staffed and poorly managed, as our server had tables on the opposite end of the restaurant, no wonder she was unattentive). Food was good but some things definitely were lacking in flavor: the dates in the appetizer were dry, and I could barely taste them, so guessing they had been sitting out for awhile after being cooked. The porterhouse steak was delicious and well-cooked but again, nothing on the menu we ordered (and we ordered quite a bit) "wow'd" us. The atmosphere was decent, and it was nice to take a break and watch the Disney fireworks from the restaurant balcony during dinner. But no way does it deserve a Michelin Star, and there are better restaurants in the Disney/Orlando areas for the price.
Be the first to ReplyDon't be fooled
If you have any experience of Michelin dining in UK/Europe, then please lower your expectations when visiting Capa, lest you are too disappointed to enjoy what is decent enough food, but below par by the usual standards one might expect of a one rosette restaurant. Our US cousins revere Four Seasons Hotels and, by association, anything within viz food outlets, and are probably blinkered as to what is on offer. Service was poor; no other way of saying it. Our server ("Adam") had all the warmth of a gelato with non of the sweetness. His attitude to the ladies at the table was curt and borderline misogynistic. The wine list comprised almost entirely of Napa/Sonoma offerings, and I counted only half a dozen bottles under $100. As mentioned, food was okay, but over priced for what it was. "Amuse bouche?". "We don't do that sort of thing". And don't be fooled by the offer of watching the Disney fireworks at Magic Kingdom from the Capa balcony, unless you have binoculars. I'm not sure that this restaurant warrants, or indeed will retain, a Michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyA Michelin-starred restaurant with a 17th floor rooftop view
After reading a couple of reviews of the "tourist trap at a premium price" and "how is this so highly rated?" variety, I wondered if I should go to White Castle or Burger King instead. But things aren't always as they seem. As a long-time traveler, I've learned that there must be a reason why a restaurant or hotel has earned a Michelin star or other lofty ratings and you can't please everyone. So it is with Capa Steakhouse & Bar, the Michelin-starred 17th floor rooftop restaurant at Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Chef Malyna Si has fashioned a Spanish-influenced cuisine in a romantic setting, a swanky restaurant with an outdoor lounge. Open fro 5 to 10 daily, Capa offers a fine dining experience that another reviewer summed up as "a gem on the Florida restaurant scene." My wife and I started with shrimp cocktail, marinated olives, house-made Olive bread with Extra Virgin Olive oil and saffron butter and green salad with Baby Kale, Garrotxa cheese, Ciabatta croutons and ginger vinaigrette. For an entree, my wife chose a 14-ounce grass-fed rack of New Zealand lamb with salsa, Yukon Gold potatoes, brown butter and broccoli with garlic, I opted fora 12-ounce prime Creekstone New York Strip steak with black garlic puree, sauteed mushrooms and Yukon Gold potatoes. For dessert, we shared a large slice of chocolate lava cake with banana ice cream and a healthy portion of chocolate mousse, coffee ice cream, toffee crunch and meringue. No complaints here.

My husband and I have been trying to get reservations at Capa since the middle of last year. Each time we would call for a birthday celebration, or holiday, or anniversary, we were told that we couldn't patronize the restaurant unless we were also staying at the hotel. Finally a few weeks ago we were able to get a reservation for dinner. In hindsight, I wish we hadn't. When we arrived at the restaurant the hostess brought our party to a small, square table for four directly across from the open kitchen. It was against a wall and honestly looked completely out of place. That entire side of the restaurant lacks the beauty and ambience that the lounge area has and it completely changes your experience. We asked if we could sit at another table around the corner that at least had a window view, but we were told that it had been reserved by another party. I took a mental note that apparently somehow you could reserve a specific table in the dining room, who knew? We ordered drinks and a couple of small plates: croquetas, pan con tomate with jamon and manchego, and pulpo. The drinks, the "In Spanish Fashion", "Buena Vista", and wine, were all good. My husband was specifically excited for the croquetas and pulpo, but ended up disappointed. The croquetas had no ham flavor and the texture was off-putting. The pulpo was chewy and rubbery, and the pan con tomate was ok, but the tomato topping was too sweet. For our entrees, I ordered the 8 oz filet and he ordered the short rib. We ordered the patatas bravas and mushrooms to accompany our entrees. My steak was cooked medium as I ordered and tasted good, but I was surprised at the cut of it. I am used to getting a thick cut of meat when I order filet at a nice restaurant, but this one was thinner and not as tender of a texture as I am used to. My husband got his short rib and to say that it was ALL fat would be an understatement. He kept cutting and cutting and each cut only yielded more greasy-looking fat. It was appalling to see the cut of meat that this "Michelin Star" restaurant was serving, for $68 no less. Is this not something that the cook (there can't be a chef back there) would notice when they are preparing the meat? Why would they send out what is essentially a chunk of fat to a patron? When the waiter came by my husband showed him the pile of fat on his plate and he took the plate away and said he would bring another. At that point my husband had lost his appetite and really did not want another plate, but they brought it anyway. It is interesting to note that the second short rib had a lot more meat and hardly any fat. The sides that we ordered, much like the apps, were disappointing. Patatas Bravas are my favorite potato ever, but these were NOT patatas bravas. They had a tomato sauce on them, but no spice whatsoever which is comical as "patatas bravas" literally translates to "spicy potatoes." The portion size was also hilarious as it wasn't enough for ME to eat, much less to share with anyone. The mushrooms tasted like boiled mushrooms, nothing special, no flavor. We ended the meal with two desserts: Pastel de Almendras y Aceite de Oliva and Valor Chocolate which were each very good, but again super tiny portions. The "icing on the cake" of this terrible dinner was the fact that we specifically made our reservations on a Saturday night so we could hear the Spanish guitarist during our meal, which I mentioned to the person that took our reservation. That person did not tell me that we had to be seated in the lounge in order to hear the music. We could not hear the music all the way on the other side of the restaurant, by the wall, in front of the literal flames of the kitchen making it at least 10 degrees hotter. All we could hear was the kitchen, and the "elevator music" over the speakers. So much for ambiance. Oh and the table that we asked the hostess for by the window? That stayed empty our entire dinner and was still empty when we left. I am convinced that Disney paid a pretty penny for that Michelin star, because there is NO way that Capa earned it. My advice is to go to Bull and Bear or KRES if you are craving a steak or Santiago's Bodega if you are craving tapas. Capa will just leave you disappointed and hundreds of dollars poorer.
Be the first to ReplyHow is this so highly rated?
I can say that I would likely not go back. Arrived a few minutes before 5 for our reservation - the only one I could get, so i expected a packed restaurant. Was told the elevator doesn't even work until 5. At 4:58, about 100 people came out of some convention, and we had to wait like 10 minutes to even GET an elevator. Then, I have NO idea why I couldn't get a reservation even 30 minutes later. Place was empty. When we left, there were like 3 other tables occupied and no one waiting to be seated. And with this BIG empty restaurant, they seated us at a table where I was looking directly into the setting sun. I had to keep moving my chair to get a line of sight behind a pole that was out on the deck to be able to see. So dumb. Finally looked at the menu. I'm sure there are some fantastic wines on here. But the few I did know had QUITE the premium put on them. I think they feel the need to have an expensive wine list based on being in the 4 seasons. So we opted for by-the-glass and cocktails. appetizer was some pork belly dish. It was just ok. I've had much better at my local bistro. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and my husband had the filet. The ribeye was so salty I couldn't eat it. We had to swap- he also thought it was way too salty. His filet was good but not great. We ordered two side dishes that were just ok. We ordered a dessert, and I can't even remember what it was - that's how just "ok" it was. Final note - Meal presentation - I'm really not concerned with this normally - I don't care if you serve me on mismatched plates is the food is good. but the dishes, seating, etc was just "eh" for the prices they are charging. If you want to act and charge high end, then BE high end. Don't seat me in a booth. I've never had to slide into a booth at a place where I could order at $3,000 bottle of wine. Was the meal bad? NO (except for the ribeye). but based on the location, rating, and menu, I had a much higher expectation, and it did not live up to that. Not worth the trek out there. There are other steakhouses in the area that are better for less money or better quality. I will definitely no longer trust "michelin" for dining recommendations. This is not the first time I've questioned their endorsements. this is your typical over-priced Disney resort hotel restaurant with just ok food. And a huge disappointment.

Capa is one of those restaurants that you dream about after you go there. Amazing food, amazing service and perfect atmosphere. Well deserving of its Michelin star and every penny you will pay for your meal. Service really is beyond top notch and while that can be rare in Orlando, they nail it at Capa. You will feel like your server is devoted just to you. You will have someone figure out your needs ahead of time. Itโs just perfect. The view from the top of the Four Seasons is also incredible. Make sure you go out on the balcony and get some photos if you happen to be there at sunset. Then comes the food - crazy good. Itโs mainly served tapas style and everything is incredibly delicious and thoughtfully put together. Splurge and order more then you think you will eat so you can try multiple things. Capa is amazing and a gem in the Florida restaurant scene.

Anniversary dinner. Ordered a decently priced steak (around $95) and the pork that was supposed to be tender and amazing. Steak was ridiculously chewy with stringy tendons and pork was over cooked and tough. We never complain about food but this was stupid expensive for a mediocre meal. Waiter acted annoyed when we suggested the meal was disappointing for a four seasons restaurant. People are paying $1500 a night for a room (minimum) and they can do better. We donโt have time for wait staff and pretentious managers to act like customers who routinely tip 30%+ donโt matter.
Be the first to ReplyMichelin star?
During our adventure I'm unsure how this place got a Michelin star. To be fair this was my first Michelin star restaurant and maybe I was just expecting too much. I have had far better meals at many other places that lack this prestigious distinction. - Atmosphere 7/10 - Food presentation 4/10 - Deliciousness 6/10 - Service 9/10 Apps: cheese board, potatoes with chipotle dressing Mine: waygu short rib Her: lobster with mushroom Dessert: olive cake with sorbet

We were extremely disappointed with this experience as we have visited 1 and 2 Michelin star restaurants in Europe and donโt believe this restaurant deserves any stars. - nobody came to our table for at least 10 min for drink orders - no table cloths? - I poured my own water multiple times as the water was never refilled. When we finished the bottle, we were never offered another bottle. - ordered the go-to tapas. Patatas bravas were cold and hard. Fried hours earlier. - cooks eating while prepping the food (on the line/in the kitchen) - chef left the pass unattended leaving food sitting under lamps. - steaks were severely under seasoned. Didnโt taste like anything. - churros were premade as well, not freshly fried and tasted awful. Very disappointing!!!

Truly excellent meal here. We started with oysters which were prepared and presented beautifully. Then, fillet and rack of lamb which were both delicious. Finished with olive oil cake to share- divine. The service was excellent, attentive but not too much. Plus, we were seated on the patio which gave us a beautiful view of the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. Itโs definitely worth requesting a patio table, given at discretion but we were lucky on this occasion
Be the first to ReplyProbably the best restaurant in town (one of the 3 restaurants with a Michelin Star).
Excellent food (1 star Michelin). Great view over the golf and Disney parks when on the balcony. Most inside tables do not have views. Some great tapas, especially the Cerdo (pork belly). Great steak, the delmonico was excellent. Leave room for the desserts (churros, crema Catalana). Great cocktail and wine. Very kind and knowledgeable waiter. About $200 per person including tip. Free valet parking (with validation).
