I'm seriously disappointed in this spa and management.
I purchased a massage and spa day and ended up with a horrible rash that has lasted almost 3 weeks. I called to speak to someone and they assured me a manager would reach out and no one ever called me back. Truly disappointed in their negligence. I've been so uncomfortable for WEEKS. Don't go there unless you want a horrible disgusting rash. The pool also had a bunch of kids jumping in the pool non-stop with no one stopping them.

I had such an amazing stay at this hotel, so I'm a little surprised it only has 3.6 stars. Based on my own experience, this place is 5 stars. As soon as I entered the premises, the valet kindly greeted us and parked the car. Once I walked to the front desk, I was promptly helped and had an ease of checking in. The bellhop took care of our luggage. Got to the room and discovered we had a large sized patio with ocean views. It was amazing. Rooms were clean and had all the basic amenities and then some. To top it off, a stay at this hotel includes use of their spa amenities - which I used daily! And private beach access! They even set up lounge chairs and umbrellas for you which I greatly appreciated, especially looking further along the public beach area that was super crowded! The gym was also amazing and had all the equipment you could possibly need with all the cardio machines facing the ocean! This place is really a gem and I would absolutely stay again!

Be the first to ReplyI booked a massage for my friend and I.
When we arrived, she gave them her credit card to pay for her tip. I asked if I could pay with cash and if they had change and the spa front desk said she can get it. She asked me to come back after my massage but she still did not have the change and told me to come back again. So, 4 hrs later I did and she told me she went all over the hotel and couldn't find any change, so I said forget it here's my card. When I went down to pay at the valet, I asked if they had change and wouldn't you know it, they did. Then I checked my bank statement and I was charged the tip twice. I called and told the lady I did not authorize two charges, and that my friend gave her credit card to the woman at the counter and it was scanned and she told me that she would credit back my second charge. It has been weeks and it has not been done. They had nice spa facilities, but it was overshadowed by terrible customer service.
Be the first to ReplyFilthy, unsanitary and nasty spa.
Wish I could get my money back. It also smelled very bad, kind of sour in 2 saunas. Very small choice of saunas (spa rooms) and buttons and jets were not working, also temperature wasn't hot enough to be called sauna. Foot bath was very nasty and didn't get drained after the previous person because it was broken. Hope I won't get infection after using it. Overall very old and unsanitary spa facility. Smelled like poop in the Jacuzzi area. Left feeling disgusted

My girlfriend purchased a one day pass spa package to use the spa facility. Absolutely the worst experience and she wouldn't even call it a spa. Each sauna was worse than the last with a sour smell and stung her eyes. A lot of the equipment in the spa was broken "buttons" that didn't work. Foot rub was very unsanitary and wasn't cleaned when she tried to use it. The Jacuzzi area smelled like sh*t. She felt filthy walking out of there. Would not recommend in anyway shape or form.

You'll leave stressed which is the complete opposite of how you'd want to feel after a massage and a day at the spa. The staff was very disorganized. I was pointed towards the locker room, to which there were no staff members inside of to greet, assign a locker, and give a brief tour of the facilities. Eventually a staff member walked through and I asked where the waiting area for the massage was and their response was barely understandable. Eventually, I found my own way to the waiting room and arrived ahead of time, thankfully. Now that we got that part out of the way, let's move on to the massage. My therapist arrived late to begin with and upon finding me she realized my girlfriend and I had same appointment times and asked if we'd like to have our massages in the same room, essentially a couples massage... to which I responded yes. Eventually my girlfriend's therapist arrived even later than mine and learned that we wished to have our massages in the same room. (You should probably add a couples option on your booking site). Both therapist then had a brief argument which was weird and uncomfortable and then we were finally rushed to our room. At this point you can probably tell the vibes are way off and feeling relaxed is the last thing I'm feeling in this moment. At last, we're finally on the massage tables. I've never had a worse 35 minute rushed massage that I paid $300 for (after tax) in my life. We paid for 50 minutes but only received 35 because the way their operation works is the timer starts at the start of whatever time you booked versus the time they finally begin the massage, and with the disorganized intro and unprepared room we had lost 15 minutes. For "the best spa in Miami Beach" they really under delivered and under performed. I wish I had four hands so that I could give this place thumbs down.
Be the first to ReplyRecently stayed at the Carillon for a relaxing and
Recently stayed at the Carillon for a relaxing and restorative long weekend. The hotel, spa, and grounds did not disappoint! Let's start with the room: The room is arranged as a suite with a full kitchen (including fridge, dishwasher, etc), living room, and separate bedroom with en suite bath and we had a balcony with views of the spa pool and the ocean. I loved the room! The bed was very comfy and the balcony was perfect for lounging. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom seemed a little dated and hard to use, but once we figured it out, it was no problem. There was no bottled water in the room, but we called down and they immediately sent up several. The restaurants and service at the restaurants was top notch. We ate at the Strand a few times and it was very good. I tried the salmon poke bowl for lunch and it was the perfect meal before hitting the beach. For dinner, we tried the ribeye, crab cakes, carrots, and the tiramisu. For brunch, we tried the deviled eggs, crab cakes florentine, baklava sticky buns, and the carbonara burger. Everything was very good but the deviled eggs and sticky buns were my favorite. We also got to dine at the Tambourine Room. It was such an intimate and fun dining experience! My personal recommendation: the menu offers more than enough food without ordering the additional add-ons. We added on the pasta and I was SO FULL. But my favorite course had to be the langoustine. Yum! The staff was so attentive and they were a joy to talk to throughout the experience. For both restaurants, I can't say enough about the friendly and accommodating staff. They really made us want to keep coming back! To discuss the grounds and the beach, hotel guests have access to two pools - one through the spa and another closer to the beach. The beach pool was a bit crowded while we were there, but the hot tub was less crowded. This pool is definitely more of a lively vibe. The spa pool was much more chill. They also have classes in this pool, but in general, it was nearly empty every time I checked it out. The beachfront area was nice. They offer beach service for hotel guests (chairs, towels, umbrella, food/drink ordering). I saved the spa for last because I absolutely LOVED it. I got a massage and a facial there and both services were awesome and incredibly relaxing. It was my first time getting a facial and the esthetician talked me through the process and explained all of the steps she was taking and the products she was using. The spa also offers an amazing thermal experience circuit with hot and cold showers, foot bath, sauna, and more. The staff in the spa is also super friendly and helpful. There's also a coffee machine and delicious snacks to keep you nourished while you're relaxing. During our stay, we didn't leave the resort grounds because we felt so at home while we were there. If you're looking for a hotel and spa to have a relaxing getaway and to eat some good food during the process, this is it!
Be the first to ReplyWe came here using resort pass for the day.
We received free valet parking for the day. The quality and vibe of this hotel are very upscale and clean. It smells so good when you walk in. First, we went to the private beach; we got free beach chairs and towels. Next, we checked out their pool and jacuzzi; we also got free pool chairs and towels. After, we checked out The Strand restaurant and bar which was excellent all around. We also went to the spa and each received a 20 minute back massage. Well- needed and so relaxing! The amenities at the spa are 10/10; there are rain showers, igloo, sauna, steam room, another room that's in between a sauna and steam room, jacuzzi, and foot baths. We utilized the actual showers which had everything we needed to get ready afterwards (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer, mouthwash, lotion, soap, etc). I cannot comment on the hotel rooms since I didn't not stay overnight. Overall, a 10/10 experience for the resort pass though! We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I chose this spa for my daughters birthday because of the reviews on Google. Needless to say it was not even close to the reviews. The spa is run down and unkept. It is literally falling apart. The tiles are old, falling and moldy. The robes, are thin as paper. It is not relaxing at all, people on their phones. Lady who helps set you up was super unprofessional. Supplies such as toiletries are available, but you have to ask for them. According to staff people steal them. Masseuse spent the 50min talking, not relaxing. Would not recommend. After visiting Lapis, Biltmore, Trump, expected the same quality. I was disappointed. Won't ever be going back.

My girlfriend and I tried this place after she requested a "spa day" for her birthday. While shopping around, we came across a "Groupon" for this wellness resort and I have to say, it's a great bang for your buck. While I wasn't able to test the women's locker room spa amenities (obviously), the men side was very well kept, had many spa options, however my girlfriend noted that the women's locker room and spa amenities were crowded and some of the amenities were out of service. We had a 9 am appointment for a Swedish massage, (non-couple) and it was really nice. Then after the massage we went to the locker rooms to change into our bathing suits and with a spa massage purchase, you're allowed to use their pool and private beach. Their beach has full beach service which was the best part. Also with a massage purchase you can use the spa amenities all day which was great too. On top of that, they validate valet parking with a massage purchase. While it's not the most luxurious spa. For just under $400 it's a great day for a couple to enjoy for a special occasion.

Service was horrible! Others were assisted before me, although I had been waiting longer. Valet looked at me while having a personal conversation when I arrived, he didn't move. Others pulled in behind me, and were assisted before me, although I arrived first. I experienced a similar occurrence once I arrived in the spa from the spa attendant. When I was leaving, I was waiting for valet to pull my car around. Instead, he parked my car on the side, and took my key to the desk. The massage was very oily, and provided no therapeutic value.- Gratuity is paid upon check in, not based on service. Spa receptionist at check in, and for spa service check in were great, the rest of the staff were not good. I have been here several times, but after this visit I will not return.
Be the first to ReplyOn the last day of our trip to Miami, we did a Groupon day
On the last day of our trip to Miami, we did a Groupon day spa. I highly recommend this experience we got a 20-minute back massage and got to use all their facilities. The inside has a lovely spa area with a saunas and baths. The back massage was amazing. We also got to use their pool & beach area. So we spent our entire day at the hotel. They also have showers & lockers to store your stuff. We even were able to leave our luggage downstairs so we had everything for our flight later that day. I truly would love to go back to this spa it was a very relaxing and beautiful day.
Be the first to ReplyI was so impressed with this place.
I took a spa day for my birthday, and I had a wonderful time. I was late because I had been busy running errands earlier in the day, and they went out of their way to make sure that I could still get my massage. It was a great massage by the way! They offer everything in the resort in one inclusive price, which is essentially an all day access pass so the price is totally worth it. They also have complimentary drinks which I wasn't expecting but it was really cool. Honestly, it would take you forever to do everything the spa offers, so you should really take advantage of the opportunity to spend the whole day. I even left my water bottle by accident and they were so kind to call me to let me know, and hold it for me until I could grab it. Fantastic service, and a beautiful spa.
Be the first to ReplyI've stayed here with my family 5-6 times.
Maybe more. The decor is cheap, the beds and furniture uncomfortable, the kitchens are poorly equipped, the service is very spotty, the food is mediocre, the wifi is absurdly slow, forget about streaming anything, and everything is super expensive. Not only that, the management are absolutely awful, officious, useless incompetents who view any complaints, however legitimate, as an affront. Heaven forbid they try to run a nice hotel. Apart from that, it's just lovely. :-) Honestly, the only reason I ever stayed there is because my mother-in-law lives in the Carillon condominium next door, which is a great building (and is actually suing the hotel, if that indicates anything). Skip this hotel. It's just the pits.

I bought a massage treatment from Resort Pass that allows for a treatment and access to the facilities. I went on a Sunday so it wasn't too busy. The steam rooms and saunas and such were really nice and well maintained. Also the on beach menu was nice.

Great pre-spa showers and jacuzzi which was free and spent an hour having this before going for the Ayurvedic massage which was awesome! Really needed it. Followed the massage with a pedicure which was so relaxing! The technician massaged my feet and lower legs which was so calming and enjoyable. Definitely worth it but plan to go week days as it's much cheaper that the weekend price!

Great oceanfront location. Their spa is huge and gym is amazing. I liked that they had bikes to use to bike around Miami Beach. Restaurant was pricey but good, and market was pricey but good. I recommend this hotel.

Terrible "hospitality" shown by company representative Roberto as of Saturday, Nov 19 2022. I would never stay at the hotel anymore and would not recommend anyone to do so. Teach your stuff to be polite or hire polite people at the first place
Be the first to ReplyWe really enjoyed our spa day here.
Loved all the things you could do. The igloo, jacuzzi, warm seats by the jacuzzi, aromatic sauna, steam room. There was a bit of wear around the facility such as the feet jacuzzi faucet was wobbly & slow to fill up. I would have given 4 stars but they are impossible to reach on the phone. Also, they got confused with my daughter's service & gave her masseuse to someone else. In the confusion, she lost 5 minutes of her service. My biggest petpeeve was there are signs asking to not use cell phones to disturb other guests. Several guests were really loud. My masseuse was wonderful & the front desk & staff were nice. Just answer the phone please

I Recommend this hotel and spa! I had day passes and I spent the entire day at the pool and beach! The spa was stellar and the staff was so nice! If you're in Miami looking for a day spa, beach and pool access, and excellent food I would come here!
Be the first to ReplyCame with my boyfriend to take advantage of spa month.
We are both service providers at high end spas so our expectations weren't high knowing it's spa month and the therapists are probably burnt out - but both of our massage therapists deserved 5 stars - he can't remember the name of his therapist but I had Felix and I will definitely go back for an 80 min massage from him. No complaints about the service itself. Felix deserves recognition for his thorough and therapeutic approach to massage, as well as his professional demeanor. The reason I'm rating 3 stars instead of 5:Upon walking into the resort, I approached the Conceirge for directions to the spa, and was completely ignored as the two women working at the desks were having a conversation. I stood there for over a minute waiting for them to finish and I was never acknowledged, so started looking around and found signs telling me how to get to the spa. When you're in hospitality, you know first impressions are important. Just being acknowledged with a smile would have been enough. Before our treatments we went into the locker rooms to change, in the mens locker there were multiple attendants that assisted my boyfriend, I couldn't find any in the ladies locker so I decided to wait until later to change so I could go down and enjoy the beach. Drinks on the beach were really, really bad. The bartender must have sucked or been extremely overwhelmed with orders. Karen was the server and she was sweet and kind, however my second drink I ordered 20 minutes before I had to head up for my service never came, I asked for a refund so I wouldn't be late for my service but was brought a watered down drink that had been sitting in the sun somewhere instead. $50 for 2 bottom shelf drinks and a water. Back in the spa to change into a robe for my service, again, no attendants to be found in the ladies locker room. I went to the front desk to request a robe and they told me there was an attendant in the locker room that would help me. I went back in the locker room and searched again, found no one. Went back out to the front desk and asked her to please assist me. Got my robe, checked out the amenities, had my great service from Felix. I recommend the Herbal Laconium as it was the only room hot enough in my opinion, the sauna at my LA fitness is hotter than theirs. The rain showers were neat too. Yamil at the spa front desk also deserves recognition as he is very professional and hospitable. If I was leaving a rating based on my experience with him & Felix - it would be 5 stars. Unfortunately - it seems like the rest of the resort team isn't trained as well or perhaps they are understaffed.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is probably the worst hotel I've stayed at EVER.
The grounds are not kept well at all. The amenities are also not well kept. The website is deceiving and makes you feel like this hotel will be something spectacular but it is NOT. We had to change rooms because the AC was broken. They sent someone to "fix it" and he just replaced a filter. That didn't fix it after sweating to death we requested a room change which they accommodated but after the room change the new room had things that were broken. The internet and TV did not work and could not be fixed because there was no IT guy on site? It was just one bad thing after the next with this hotel and will not be coming back. It's not even the issues at hand that are the most upsetting. I feel like their website is deceiving and makes this hotel out to be some relaxing wellness hotel which it's just a shitty run down hotel with a nice location.

SPA SERVICES ONLYSo the opportunity to return became available...I did return! Two treatments, lounge time, pool time, beach time...I was very satisfied with the services and the attendees! At one point, I was a little lost and I appreciated the facilities staff that pointed me in the right direction and offered a few tips about the best features of the resort...it made me feel like EVERY staff person was Knowledgeable and wanted me to have a good experience. I like that.Get the rejuvenation massage and the full body scrub - thank me later.

Adjusting review: I stayed here in 2018 and loved the experience. I am on a trip with family/friends but came back to the Carillion for the daycation pass. I booked a premium package for 4 which we were under the impression was 2 cabanas. The name of the pool here is "cabana" so we thought we paid for an actual cabana. The price $500 is also the exact cost of two cabanas at this hotel. The staff set up two cabanas for us, we ordered food and drinks $500 then told us if we want to stay it'll be another $400 when we said no they lowered to $100. We said no so they said we had to move to beach chairs instead of the covered day bed. It's absurd nobody at checkin in the spa or at the beach itself was sure what we booked or able to clearly explain to us until 2 hours later.
