Chambers Chambers Street New York Reviews from The Last Year
The single best restaurant in NYC.
Have been twice now, and the second time confirmed this bold claim, which I had after the first time. Everything they do is seasonal and focuses on simple ingredients done in an excellent manner. No matter what you get, you will be happy. Chicken, swordfish, eggplant, anything crudo. Just get as much as you can and be happy.
Delicious food, great staff and a lovely space.
Great wine list--at 2024 crazy prices, yes--however, it is entirely possible to serve terrific champagne that is not almost $40/glass especially when that is the only champagne option. That's a let down.
Had a nice dinner here with a friend.
Excellent service. Chicken and hamachi were delicious though portion sizes were small. Also got the beets with endive which I didn't love. The endive was grilled and the sauce had anchovies, which were not mentioned on the menu. Side of romanesco cauliflower was good, as was the marscapone phyllo dessert. Per other reviews, the wine menu is extensive/borderline overwhelming. But there was something at every price point and I enjoyed the albarino, which was reasonably priced. Atmosphere is nice -the dining room wasn't full when we were there but it wasn't too loud.
Minimalist, communal, great lighting, with some interesting
Minimalist, communal, great lighting, with some interesting cocktails. The bread service was tasty and they served gluten free bread which was a plus. Overall though, a bit disappointed in some of the dishes including the risotto which was chalked full of onions or something similar. At first taste, it was good but after a while it felt like you were eating rice and onions. We ordered a couple bottles of wine, but for anyone who doesn't typical order wine by the bottle, the wine menu is insanely over done. Must have been 50 pages of wines which is simply trying to hard. At this price point, overall the food and wine needs to be tightened up or it won't last long in Tribeca. Just too many other options.
Arrived at 8:55pm for our 9pm reservation since we lived 2
Arrived at 8:55pm for our 9pm reservation since we lived 2 blocks away. We had to wait 20 minutes before we were seated at 9:15pm. This already began to leave a bad taste in my mouth... Fortunately, this was the worst of the evening... everything else was amazing! We sat, was presented with their amazing wine list, simple menu... All dishes were pretty good! Their chicken was beautiful though.. and I am rarely impressed with chicken. The pork loin was a bit too fatty, but... still delicious! Our friends enjoyed their delicate sweetbread most. Service was excellent. Ambience was simple elegant. Hmm... if I were to only suggest one thing, I would say, tablecloths would've justified the $500 bill for 4ppl a bit more. Please don't misunderstand me, it wasn't expensive for Manhattan at this level of food. I just think it would've provided much more value.
Fabulous food and service.
We enjoy sitting overlooking the kitchen so we can see the careful preparation of a delicious and beautiful meal. Some favorites recently were the amazing chicken (enough to take home for another dinner), the risotto, the Japanese eggplant side dish and the curried okra side dish. We also had a tasty and well-priced Italian red. Service is attentive and kind. One of our favorite places to eat anywhere.
Service, wine, vibe.
A true New York restaurant with details finely touched on. Plating is clean and beautiful. Glassware is beautiful! Looking forward to going back.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
