Sort of unassuming on the outside we were very surprised at how great the food was. And the pièce de résistance was the chocolate soufflé. I highly recommend this French restaurant. The service was not the best, we had to keep asking the waiter to come to our table but the food was excellent

The food was superb! We enjoyed both the cheese and chocolate soufflés, but of course, chocolate was our favorite! The pasta was so good and a huge portion! My husband had to help me finish it! His beef was very flavorful, but was quite fatty. He had to pick around the gristle, not what he expected at such a nice restaurant. Otherwise everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious! If you're going to visit an Alain Ducasse restaurant make it this one! Easy to get a table, delicious food, and great service.

we enjoyed a delicious round of foie gras, 45cl of pinot. Cheese soufflé and a burger with foie gras. Frites could be a little crisper but I'm nitpicking. Service was impeccable. Surrounded by great shopping in Les Halles. Easy way to enjoy done Alan Ducasse food without breaking the bank.

We sat down outside and was waiting to be served and was just escorted (rudely hand waved) away from the tables before we were asked if we would like to order. As a business class traveler and new patron to this city, this place deserves a flat out one star for jumping the gun and being rude and unprofessional to patrons. Also, please note the review of this establishment is already quite low by many standards. To the manager who did this I would suggest you learn to welcome guests and learn how to provide your guests with menus and learn how to advertise your establishment with more dignity. No more free advice on this medium -- I'll charge a consulting fee for that.

Reservations for 8pm dinner on TheFork but really didn't seem that busy one would need reservations. Arrived early, quickly seated. No problem. Ordered cheese soufflé and salmon starter. They were delicious. For main, ordered the beef tartar and lamb shoulder. Lamb shoulder was just ok. The tartar was stringy, grisly and difficult to chew. Have had much better at 2 other restaurants in Paris. Dessert-wonderful!! Chocolate soufflé and pistachio caramel salted caramel. So-I recommend coming in for the starter and desert!! I avoided the beef due to several negative reviews.

We went looking for soufflé, but they're only served during lunch & dinner. They're open all afternoon, but with a small menu. Even though we did not get soufflé, we loved our meal here. Service was awesome. Chilled rose champagne, perfection! I tried a pasta dish with elbow macaroni, ham & Comte cheese that was absolutely amazing. My husband enjoyed the cheese platter, with generous portions. We shared pistachio gelato for dessert. Overall, great late lunch experience.

No one in the restaurant helped me to chase after the person nor did they even notice there's a professional thief. The waiter said it was my friend's fault for she looked at her phone. No one knows how can they check the security camera at the entrance. What a shame.
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed my dinner.
Menu features "lighter" French fare and I enjoyed steamed "meagre" fiket (similar to Dorado fisb) served with pureed peas. Had a green salad on the side and the house bread was complimentary and a tasty nutty multigrain. Dining companion gave a thumbs up to his steak with peppercorn saunce. I had to get the souffle and chose the strawberry verbena. Its was oerfectly cooked but would have like more herbal verbena flavor. Our server waa friendly and helpful. She rexommended my wine - an dry mineral white that complimented my meal. Atmosphere was casual and modern and convenient central location.

I was glad I did - I had wonderful service for a late lunch. Hanger steak and fries were good. Comfortable seating and clean bathrooms.

Overall a great meal with a nice easy to manage menu and daily specials. Souffle is the go to item but tartar was good and regular items like truffle pasta and weird items like black pudding and fish and chips seemed to be fan favorites as well. Cheese souffle as an entree worked; although small very rich and lots of bread so filling. Complimentary bread to start was a nice wheat variety of baguette as well which was good for dipping or just munching. Tartar was a full on dish. Came with fries and side salad along with a large disc of tartar. Weird that no bread to dip, but again complimentary option came in handy. Tartar smooth and roasted capers added a punch. For about 22 euro this was a great deal. Chocolate souffle was a great dessert. So rich and moussey and almost too much chocolate if thats a thing with side of chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate chunks added. No pour over but no complaints. Champeaux exceeds my expectations. May be overpriced but considering its nearby shopping it makes way for a perfect area to sit and relax and enjoy some food and wine and beer in Paris.

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant with nicely spaced tables, although it screams more "mall" than "Paris". Servers were pleasant, though our server was clueless. He seemed confused about pretty much everything (questions asked in French), couldn't open the wine, couldn't pour it without dripping it all over (I actually showed him how to do it and he said "oh!" thanked me), got our order wrong...then during our entrees he walked by our table in his coat waved goodbye to his colleagues -apparently gone for the night because he was not to be seen again. Had to flag down another person who had no clue who would be waiting on us.Food ranged from average to simply bad. Wrong steaks were cooked well, but the bernaise that came with them was crusty, cold and simply awful - Campbell's Soup Bernaise? Ugh. Lobster souffle terrible, as was the fish and chips ordered for my daughter to replace the inedible souffle. Somewhere, the Gordon's Fisherman is spinning in his watery grave. Escargot was fine. Shrimp salad was not. Dessert? No thanks!Considering whose name is associated with this place, it is awful. I recommend walking in any direction a few blocks and find yourself almost any corner bistro or brasserie and you will do better food-wise and save yourself money. Not to mention actually feel like you are in Paris.

my friend and I order the steak tartare which was great value for the amount and quality of meat! Definitely and come back and have this again. Oysters was not super though, 16 euro for 6 pieces, which looked like a good deal. But I guess you get what you pay for... friendly, professional wait staff, easy to get to location, good wine list as well
