Never goes out of style
Been eating here for 30 years. The Chinese chicken salad and the chicken potstickers. The kung pao chicken. Good service and tasty food. May it thrive for 30 more years. A great meal
Be the first to ReplyMoo Shoo Pork was average at best
The service was fine. The moo shoo pork was tasteless and the flour wrapper fell apart. Impossible to eat.

First time eating at Chin Chin. After hearing about Chin Chin's for so long I was so excited to finally eat here. Not only was the food excellent but they had an awesome selection of gluten conscious options!! I had the orange chicken and it was phenomenal. I could not believe this incredibly delicious dish was gluten free. My husband had the infamous chinese chicken salad and loved it. The hostess Sheila was incredibly warm and friendly. She was very welcoming and took the time to greet each guest and talk with them. Sheila made our experience at Chin Chin over the top. Already planning a trip back to LA to go to Chin Chins.

Had chicken wonton soup, appetizers and mixed vegetables. It took a while for the soup to arrive. Wontons were great, but there were too many cubes of chicken. Mixed appetizers not wonderful. Only fried wontons (chicken) were flavorful. Vegetables came a minute after mixed appetizers and sat for ten minutes. Just okay, as pea pods were obliterated and there was too much gravy. I come here for lunch when in LA and the experience has been better at lunch for me.

The manager Shelia was a great host and treated us very nicely. She is a credit to your restaurant. We will be back.

We live in the neighborhood, and decided to give it a try for dinner. Paper tablecloth, paper napkin (1 each). We were seated by a waiter who spoke incessantly for 10 minutes, although we never asked a question. Another waiter came to take our orders, and then we waited, and waited, and waited some more for the dumpling appetizer which we shared. It finally came with some bizarre sweet sauce, and none of the traditional soy based sauce. We had to specially request some soy sauce, none was on the table. Dumplings were probably the worst we have ever had. Main course was equally a disappointment. The General Tsao Chicken was barely OK, but not spicy at all - we had to request some chill sauce. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was neither sweet nor sour - had no taste, but a lot of green and red pepper and onion slices. And the prices were a bit above the norm in the area for main dishes. We do not normally pay $9 for a beer, even in a swanky place (which this one isn't.) We tried once, won't return.

visited Chin Chin to see their patio room for a future date and ate lunch. Everything was delicious. Waiter Michael was very helpful and Sheila was especially attentive. Would give 41/2 stars if I could. We will be back for our party in May!

Tried this restaurant for first time on New Years eve for a late lunch on a very rainy day.The manager, Sheila was so kind & professional. She took our umbrellas & made a stand covered in white linen napkins to hold them. The food was excellent (recommend the salt & pepper shrimp). Appreciated the big lemon slices in the water & the friendly, efficient waiter. Sheila came over to make sure we were well looked after and happy with the service & food. She is a natural communicator & made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a great meal on a dreary day.

I have picked up from here since my previous review and the BBQ pork that I always get has been good. Ordered delivery today and nothing was edible - BBQ pork was super fatty and the pad thai had onions and scallions mixed in even though I asked for those ingredients to be left out. I called the restaurant and the manager nicely explained that they only cook up small batches of BBQ pork throughout the day and that they do their best of accommodate requests; this is completely understandable. But if what I received represents the best they can do to fill a request for "LEAN" I would hate to see what they would serve without that request.
Be the first to ReplyVery very good take home Chinese dishes and salads
Grabbed two dishes to go in Brentwood.. A shrimp dish with pea pods and a big Asian salad-- both were ex excellent. Really far above the bar for take home food
