In Edmonton for business so stopped in to Chop two nights in a row - first night the best flat iron steak I have every had (most don't even know what this is) and the special soup and dessert (pineapple upside down cake - flashback to the 80s) were spectacular. Second night the bartender knew how to make a perfect Negroni and the salmon was again cooked to perfection. At the top of the list for Edmonton restaurants and service was outstanding
Dinner with a side of flies
I used to go to Chop Ellerslie on a regular basis. Almost nightly while I stayed in Edmonton for work. It was always a good place to grab a good meal and a drink. After tonight’s experience I don’t think I’d go back. The food looked great and I’m sure the drinks are the same as they have been in the past but I just couldn’t get over the bar top. There had to have been a couple dozen fruit flies buzzing around while I ate. I understand that this can be a problem with bar tops but there is simple solutions to control this and clearly the bar staff didn’t care enough to illuminate the problem in plain eyesight so I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like as well. Needless to say I didn’t finish my food or drink and I paid and got out. I recommend checking out Central across the road. The bar staff is on top of their bar and constantly cleaning and flushing the draft beer drip trays. My recommendation for Chop would be to give that bar a good cleaning and set a couple traps out. Cap the draft beer lines when not in use and while not busy. There was honestly more flies than people in your bar this evening

Horrible Customer Service!
This is for a Skip the Dishes order which was completely unacceptable! It was for the Chicken Avocado SuperBowl which was delivered with No Dressing and boiled microwaved chicken. I called Chop and twice was told that a manager would contact me regarding a refund. The call never came after contacting three times….will never eat or order from Chop again!
I ordered the crab cakes.
They suck. First of all the waitress walked out with them at crotch level. So I smell fish. So I look to the right. So then I see how she is presenting herself... with the crab cakes and at what level. So I taste them. They were wet and soggy. Tasted so gross I took them as a leftover and tried to feed them to my fat house cat. But when I gave them to her she the cat Crab Cakesbacked up, turned around hit me with her paw and fn hissed at me!!!!
Great option in downtown Edmonton
Service was excellent (thanks Elizabeth) and all of our food was great. Steak cooked perfectly and meal well timed. Loved the salads as well. Will def be back!
Disappointed
Are at CHOP for the first time as we are Keg regulars.. Pricing is very comparable but the dining experience, ambiance or quality of food is not.
Disappointed on recent visit
My wife took me to Chop restaurant west Edmonton for my seventh birthday last week and we both ordered the same steak, mine was good and my wife could not eat hers as it was full of grizzle. The manager did apologize and took it off the bill and gave us a gift card to return again. We are regulars at Chop and this was the first time we we disappointed.

I have come here a few times recently to have lunch with family and friends. It's such a convenient location for me as I work downtown. It's literally a 5 minute walk away. I always make reservations but they seem not to be busy at lunch so feel free to just walk in. It is a neat location, located in the lobby of the hotel. It has huge high ceilings and very large walk up bar. The booths are extra large and would be amazing for a big party. All the staff I have dealt with are friendly and attentive. The food is always amazing. I ordered steak bites and crab cakes. Both are really delicious. Always a great food and a experience, top to bottom. I will return, hungry for more

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Banned from Resy for selling reservations- Do we have a rat on our hands???
I am new to this app and started off by selling a polo bar reservation and then quickly sold one more reservation. Not long after I received emails from Resy saying all my reservations are cancelled and I am being banned from Resy for life. How could this have possibly happened without a rat telling Resy that I sold the reservation. I need some advice on this situation and let’s catch the rat!

You can only deposit $50 at a time until you earn the “Sales and Low Refund Medal” I believe. Im new to this as well but the ability to deposit more money at once and increase your amount of listings comes with that medal.
