AVOID Terrible waiter & waitress here
I went in the restaurant and ask for a corner table because I want to join a call. The waiter showed me table in the middle. Since I was a single diner, so I went to the table at the corner instead then a senior waitress came and told me that I can’t hv that table because it’s reserved, she insisted that I had to sit at the table in the middle so I moved. I join the zoom there and in the middle of my meeting, a staff approached me and asked me whether I can MOVE!!!!! Im in a meeting, but I still agreed. He moved me to a room which is a storage room, I was surrounded by luggages and other things. I finished my meeting and food there. When I was about to leave, I realised that my earphones were missing, then I went to the waiters to ask if they can help me to find it, they said no, as they don’t want to interrupt the customers. They asked me to move to other table when I had been served with my food and in the middle of meeting while they don't think they are interrupting me? They think ask the customers to check if there’s any earphones amounts to an interruption ... well, this is interesting I said I will talk to the customers if they are not going to, the senior waitress stopped me, I told her many times I really need the earphones and I’m visitor so I will not be able to come back to collect it if you find it afterwards. I walked straight to the table, the earphones are just on the table I don’t even need the person sit there to look for it! I’m so disappointed that no one is willing to help me with finding my stuff and the fact that they treated customers so differently- asked me to move, don’t think this is inconvenient to me but can’t talk to other customers because they are eating. This is definitely discriminate. The table of customers look like a wealthy family, I wonder how many bucks of tips you earn from them? WOW I still feel irritated after a year, but no one actually replies my comment, please do not come to this restaurant, they being nice to you because they want tips, and they look down on you in heart. It is a place full of ppl with no sympathy.
Be the first to ReplyVery good restaurant
Welcoming restaurant, good atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service and quality food. We recommend this restaurant but remember to book in advance as it is full very early around 7 p.m.
Be the first to ReplyYum !
Found while strolling in the Victoria district, nice setting, pleasant staff and copious and good dishes. The truffle pizza and tiramisu are worth trying!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent experience
Was apprehensive after reading lots of these reviews, however was very happy and impressed. The setting is beautiful. The service was friendly, professional and efficient. Good choice of wine. Lovely section of breads and olive oil/balsamic. Food also delicious. Nothing negative to say!
Be the first to ReplyNice place, good food, really nice service
Super cozy place with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Decided to eat here at the end of the day and got a nice table in the bar, but 'private'. Very fast serving of well prepared food. Tuna tartare and seabass were really good.
Be the first to ReplyFaultless, Immaculate & Beyond Delicious…
Exquisite meal in a lush surround; faultless service from Osvaldo, Andre and the team…one of the finest Italian meals I have ever eaten. Ignore any negative reviews and rush to Chucs Belgravia: Tuna tartare - light, flavoursome, delicious; Burrata - at last that flavour you always long for but never get …as in why is this any different to mozzarella? Not only the perfect rich flavour, but the tomatoes make the dish sing. Cacio Pepe - my favourite dish when it’s done right, and over here it was the best I have ever had. The pic doesn’t do it justice…the pasta was plump and irresistible; the pecorino rich sauce just incredible. Huge portion, I am emotional just thinking about it. Sea bass - wow, melt in the mouth and grilled to utter perfection. No skinny fillets making you wish you’d ordered something else here: huge portion of branzino from the old country, the caponata taking it to another level. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the Tiramisu… The vibe is cool, the restaurant itself is stunning, even the toilets are immaculate and stylish. Thank you Vincent, the most memorable of meals and we cannot wait to go back
Be the first to ReplyNever felt so rushed to leave a restaurant, and we hadn't even sat down!
I booked for 22.30 after the theatre and my confirmation said it was 22.30-00.00. My phone went 3 times on the way from the theatre to the restaurant 22.17, 22.21 and 22.24. The restaurant manager said he had tried to call me, not sure why at the time. On arrival before we actually sat down, they gave us menus and said we had to order immediately as the chef was closing the kitchen. It was so uncomfortable, we hadn't even onrdered a drink. We felt under such pressure to order starters , mains and desserts. The waiter said 'you know what chefs are like, they get upset'. No we don't, we were the customer and if there was going to be a problem with our booking at 10.30 we should have been told this in advance. I had email correspondence with Maria the day before and she was very welcoming, not how we were made to feel on arrival at the restaurant. There were 3 other tables and they were all given their bills placed on the table at 10.30. The whole experience was unpleasant. It was my husbands birthay and. it ruined the end of the evening for us. The waiter kept coming up to our table to see if we had finished to take away our plates. Never again. We should have gone to the Wolsley as we always do, they would never act like that.
Be the first to ReplyGreat espresso martini
Beautiful restaurant, we didn’t eat but popped in for a quick drink. We sat at the bar which was comfortable and were served very tasty espresso martinis, very promptly. Thank you.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service!
Beautiful restaurant, comfortable chairs, relaxed atmosphere, not stuck up at all. We received excellent service from Vincent and he made us feel welcomed. The food was nice, but would be even better if there was more vegetarian options. Would we go back? Yes!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food & Service
We were looking for somewhere to enjoy a Long lunch.. This was perfect. It’s a really lovely venue with a cute area outside.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful interior, good food & great location
Lovely little place tucked away on a corner in Belgravia. Feels like you're at a NYC restaurant, in a good way. Equally good for a business meeting or a date.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place!
Great cooked on premises Italian food, some dishes are to dye for as long as you like Italian food. Service is so-so, kinda delayed if you are used to the American fast way of serving customers. . Expensive as the entire neighborhood is, after all this place is 10 min walk from Buckingham. Will definitely recommend it
Be the first to ReplyFancy but relaxed
I treated my brother and his teenage daughter to a fancy lunch before they set off to the airport via Victoria. We had a super time. Ambience, food and service were excellent. There is something for everyone on the menu. I think my niece will remember it as part of a special trip to London. Thanks!
Be the first to ReplyNice but disappointing service
Had a lovely experience here first time we went - lovely food and attentive service - and received an email inviting me to rebook ‘via a special link’ to ensure ‘I would be very well looked after’. Sadly the second visit was disappointing. There seemed no acknowledgement of me being a return customer despite my invitation. The service was average, we asked for water that never appeared and waited quite a while to have plates cleared etc. Something that annoyed us a little was being asked, ‘would we like spaghetti with the chicken Milanese?’ and then finding out it cost £13 extra on the bill. The service charge was also 13.5%. The soap and hand cream had run out in the toilets too. When we said that we were a little disappointed with the service given the promising email invitation and how much we had spent (£250 btw two), we received a really defensive response, being told that the the staff are overworked, and others had spent more than us as ‘this is Belgravia’. We were offered a final digestive on the house after giving the feedback but we declined. Unfortunately I don’t think we will go back now, after initially thinking this would become a local favourite. However, the food was nice and we did get a good wine which was recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGood location
I stopped by there after daily walk around, ordered carpaccio and gin tonic, carpaccio was good. but the service and the staff were bizarre like i was here for free. I passed several times in 5 days during my stay but never stopped
Be the first to ReplyDid not honour £500 credit promise
As a frequent customer, I had hired the Belgravia venue for an event in March 2022. The cancellation policy did not have a clause covering COVID-19-related cancellations, so I asked for an exception. They confirmed in writing that I could use the down payment for one month in the event of a COVID-19-related cancellation. The venue was booked based on this understanding and a down payment of £500 made. The event sadly had to be cancelled on short notice due to COVID-19. Citing "having prepared the food in advance, and after a rocky few years for the hospitality busines", Chucs decided not to honour their contract and did not allow me to use the £500 credit they had previously agreed to. I strongly recommend against doing business with people who cannot keep their word.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced coffee
Nice place on a busy road though and spoilt when 2 small Latte's cost £9.08 including the compulsory service charge (for coffee's!!!)
Be the first to ReplyFab food lovely service will be back
Stumbled upon Chucs whilst walking round Belgravia the good choice on the menu enticed us to book ..fantastic food and service
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for a dinner or just an apero
My wife and I stopped by after a long day exploring London, just had an apero there so I can't comment on the food but cocktails and wine selection is great. Our waiter was extremely friendly and we had a great time thanks to him.
Be the first to ReplyWorst service ever, so disappointed
Worst service ever. We were on the tables outside and nobody came to our table to assist us. We had to go get the menu by ourselves after waiting for 20 minutes. The waiters were chatting inside the restaurant most of the time and barely did their job. I almost thought I have to make the food by myself! There was no effort put into the food and the plates do not match the price at all. We also had to go ask to get the bill after waiting for another 20 minutes. Would not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Dinner
We had a lovely dinner outside and it was so delicious. The cocktails, the appetizers to the main course. It was a dream to have such a dreamy meal while people watching.
Be the first to ReplyWorst service in london
The service was so bad (and rude) we felt it was a joke. Overrated, expensive and pretentious. My pasta was uncooked, they hated me for sending it back and made me wait half an hour to have it back. When we complained they said "it's your fault, now you are at the bottom of the orders list" unbelievable. The two stars (instead of one) is because they discounted the drinks without us asking for it.
Be the first to ReplyHungry and disappointed
Overrated - that's the words I'd use to describe this place. Looks very nice from outside and inside, but the food leaves a bad taste. I've had a chicken with salad + lemon. Chicken was stiff hard to cut into and was undercooked on one side. Salad was just few leaves heavily coveted in lemon. And lemon was just lemon. I didnt feel welcome, maybe cause we looked like a tourists and didn't have a reservation, dunno. Overall bad experience, I'm hungry and it costs too much for so little.
Be the first to ReplyA delightful hideaway
A very stylish establishment, and a haven from the bustle of central London. A splendid menu - the steak is recommended - with excellent service to round off the experience.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Disappointed in service, food, and response when disappointment expressed .who would want another main course if you found original dry and chewy. Disappointed maitre d’e didn’t offer a sweet, coffee or a drink in compensation.
