A really good feel to this restaurant as we weee welcomed by friendly and professional staff members. A light airy space in which to eat very tasty and well presented food. The wine list offered some lovely options to enjoy the wines of the South of France. Our fist visit, and it most certainly will not be our last!

We enjoyed the high ceilings of the dining room as well as it's layout, which allowed for privacy. The food was tasty, fresh and seasonal - classic with a twist and nicely executed.

What a great evening we had in Cigalon. The food was delicious, the decor lovely and the service was excellent all round, but particularly from Shaniqua who was just the right mix of friendly and professional. A cocktail and a game of pétanque downstairs in Baranis made it a perfect evening.

A fantastic experience. We went on a Friday night and it was very quiet. Having specified on the booking that it was for a birthday we received a lovely birthday dessert plate wth the dessert and the crémant we had ordered was also on the house. We had the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines which was delicious and excellent value. Service was excellent; altogether a wonderful evening at Cigalon.

Cigalon is a beautiful restaurant. Celine, Marianna and all the staff are superb. The food is delicious and innovative.

Lovely, comfortable, relaxed restaurant. We all had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing and were very pleased.

Lovely restaurant with tasty food and wonderful service! A great experience, we will come back for sure!
Be the first to ReplyGood food, but tiny portions and lacklustre service
We found our evening with the special Provencal taster menu to be very disappointing: whilst the three courses were well-presented and tasty, there was very little on the plate. We certainly needed the extra bonus plate of petit fours that they kindly brought along as we had flagged up we were marking a birthday. The restaurant was busy, early evening, and service was prompt (too prompt really, all over within one hour); the real problem was the indifferent service: the young women staff didn't engage in any way with their customers, not referencing any of the dishes or checking how we had found them, just plonking them down in front of us one after another. Overall this did not feel like good value for £67 a head.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice Provencal cuisine in London
Part of the Club Gascon empire, situated towards the bottom of Chancery Lane, the restaurant was pretty full for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We had the "Test Drive" four course menu with paired wine representing good value at £60.00. Dishes were all good, tasty, nicely presented good quality meals without setting the world alight but most enjoyable. Quite good wine pairings and the main list is well thought out and good value considering the location. Staff were efficient and friendly without being over engaging. Would we go back, certainly.

Poor quality food - empty restaurant on a Friday lunchtime only one other table was occupied through the whole lunch period. Wine list was average. Menu was limited and the food quality was nothing like the reviews given. The only good thing was the staff who were friendly

Promoted as a top class French restaurant - couldn’t be further off. Poor menu, wine list and food, no ambience though friendly staff.

Loved the ambience. Very bright and open and spacious. The food was fantastic. The veggie options were great. Very limited but well curated menu. Overall a great experience
Be the first to ReplyExquisite food and wine pairing special menu
Last night' special food and wine pairing menu at Cigalon was absolutely stunning. Each of the five courses was utterly delicious and beautifully presented. The wine chosen to go with each course was perfect. The service was above and beyond excellent. Celine, Mariana and their team in the restaurant are charming and knowledgeable about the food and wine. It was great to have a cocktail downstairs in Baranis with Led and his team before going upstairs for the dinner. The attention to detail for people with dietary requirements is exemplary. It is also extremely good value for money. Well done to everyone and thanks for making it such a wonderful evening.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Xmas meal
I came here on a work Xmas meal, the food and wine was delicious and staff were very helpful! Throughout the lead up to the event, Celine was very responsive and helpful when organising the food we wanted and flexible with dates and guests! Would definitely come back again!

Delicious, well cooked food (you can watch the chef expertly ply his craft at lightening speed) at reasonable prices for London, informative and friendly staff, interesting interior. Well worth going to. Hope to return on our next visit to London.
Be the first to ReplyGreat value
Went there on a Friday night as I saw the special offer. Place was very busy, we sat at the round table by the kitchen. Great atmosphere, the waitresses are all nice and never felt rush. All the food was very tasty and well presented. The wine pairing were all delightfull. Looking forward to go back as they have similar offer on the first Tuesday every month. On a side note, the Chef works like a machine! I've never seen anyone working so fast. I have no idea how he manage to cook everything to perfection and plate all the food so perfectly.

The five-course test drive menu at Cigalon is amazing value. The flavours in each dish are so interesting. Ingredients are combined in an innovative and harmonious way. Each dish is presented like a work of art. The accompanying wine works perfectly. The service is exceptional. Celine, Marianne and Shannel are delightful. They always remember that I am gluten and dairy intolerant and chef adjusts courses appropriately without spoiling the integrity of the dish. It’s great to have the best cocktail ever in Baranis downstairs with Led and Ariane before a superb dining experience.

Wonderful food and excellent service, and exceptional value. The design of the room is beautiful - we had one of the booths that was very comfortable and sociable.

I found it v hard to find a restaurant in London 9n a Wednesday lunchtime.
Welcome good..
Space is small and was cold.
Husband birthday his starter off tasting menu very bland.
IT lacked attention to detail we loved their other restaurant Club Gascon.
Wine pairings again coukd have been any wine was not particularly qulaity. a nice Space..
Love it - one of the best French restaurants in the Capital.
Love it. Over the years I have eaten here at least 10 times. The standard stays high, the menus stay interesting, the wine stays good, the staff stay excellent and the place and the atmosphere is perfect for any kind of occasion or time of day.

My friend Brian treated me to the delicious tasting menu last night.Quiet and comfortabe restaurant a bit like a greenhouse with a scattering of big indoor plants and very cosy booths.Loved the food, the presentation and the friendly but unobtrusive service.I think £42 is good value for a tasting menu in this area - with I might add sensible portion sizes. We held off from the usually excellent accompanying wine flight it is January after all.

Absolutely Stunning from start to finish! I believe we were looked after my Marianna? Very personable, and patient with one of my colleagues!
Having heard good things, the food exceeded all reputation and expectations! Our party has a selection of all the starters and main course, all of which were cooked and presented beautifully.
Many thanks fr a wonderful evening, looking forward to returning next time we're in London!
Fabulous dinner on Friday
Our son booked this restaurant on the basis of a reasonably priced table d'hote menu and that the bar below had a French boules "pit". Atmosphere, service and food all delicious. Could not fault it. Staff were friendly and attentive all food was beautifully cooked and served and all at a bargain for London.

I was bowled over by the level of this restaurant! In quiet Chancery Lane lies an enthralling little French Provencale restaurant and everything we had was excellent, tasty and sophisticated yet still simple. Even the non-alcoholic cocktail I had before our three meals was interesting. Had the most exquisite cold almond soup as a starter. Then a white fish full of flavour with roasted vegetable. And for desert marinated plums with icecream. We felt we had dined at a Michelin star restaurant but only paid £30 each. I will be back asap❤️
