Pizza from the Big Mamma Group continues to hold the record
Pizza from the Big Mamma Group continues to hold the record of the best I've ever had. The flavors are fresh and the dough is fantastic. The ambiance of Circolo Popolare creates a fun and unique experience. We tried the Carbonara for the first time, and revisited the popular Mafaldine al Tartufo. I would recommend either (or both)!
Be the first to ReplyAwful restaurant.
Nobody offered to take our coats, the tables are so close together like a pig breeding factory farm. You can hear every word the people next to you are saying. It's a mission to get in the seat without bumping things or people. Table is also very small, boring menu, boring food. This place is marketed as something high end but is basically an over priced Bella italia with worse food. The bathrooms are dark and dingy, very small as well, can't even check your makeup in there. Will not return to this place.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely breathtaking ambiance.
I have been waiting to come here for what seems like forever. So happy we got to go! The food was divine. They ran out of a few things and I wanted carbonara, but the seafood pasta didn't disappoint. The drinks were great. The atmosphere really just takes the cake though.

Circolo Popolare, nestled in the heart of London, is an Italian dining haven that seamlessly blends aesthetics, flavors, and a dash of spectacle. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by the enchanting sight of thousands of bottles adorning the walls, setting the stage for a culinary experience like no other. The interior of Circolo Popolare is a visual feast, with every corner thoughtfully designed to captivate the senses. The charming atmosphere creates a perfect backdrop for an Italian culinary journey, and the attention to detail is evident in every facet of the decor. Our culinary adventure began with a delightful selection of mozzarella and olives, a perfect prelude to the flavors that awaited us. The mozzarella was fresh and creamy, while the olives provided a savory kick, setting a high standard for the courses to come. The pasta dishes, the heart and soul of any Italian restaurant, truly shone at Circolo Popolare. Opting for the one where they prepare the pasta in a giant cheese wheel in front of you was a decision that elevated the dining experience. The theater of the process added a touch of excitement, and the resulting dish was a symphony of flavors. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the cheese coating each strand was a decadent addition that left us craving for more. What sets Circolo Popolare apart is not just the exceptional food but the overall experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff further enhances the dining journey, providing recommendations and insights that add a personal touch to the visit. In summary, Circolo Popolare is a gem in the London culinary scene. The combination of a visually stunning ambiance, delectable dishes, and a touch of culinary theatrics makes it a standout destination for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend it, as it offers an immersive and unforgettable Italian dining experience. Bravo!

Made reservations at this restaurant based upon TikTok reviews. Beautifully decorated during the holidays and lively atmosphere. Pizza was on point! Highly recommend and great restaurant for larger groups.
Be the first to ReplyThe most immaculate, food experience I have had yet to date.
I found insane recommendations along Instagram and TikTok for this place, but was unable to make a reservation, two months in advance as recommended. I decided to stop by right when they opened in hopes of grabbing a table, and I was successful! I only had to wait about five minutes and was able to be seated and served immediately . Server made lots of recommendations and I ultimately ended up going with the crab pasta which was so simple yet complex I don't think I've still been able to completely process it. The vibes in this place is amazing. I recommend going with the large groups that you can try multiple things and share as I went by myself And did not want to waste such a large amount of food.

Top stars for ambiance a service! Can only say for what we ordered for the carbonara, that you have to order in pairs of two. The cheese wheel is impressive, but not as chessy as I'd hoped. The portion was just right, as we had the carbonara and a shared salad. Be sure to get a reservation online as they can be difficult to book weeks in advance! It's also easy to divide a check through their QR code provided on your table. Overall, great place to dine in at night, with amazing decor and great ambiance and impeccable service and with pretty good food. A bit overhyped for carbonara, but overall, it was a great time. Also, on the pricer side so I'd really be back if someone I was traveling with wanted to try this place.

Such a cute aesthetic here! Loved the vibes and ambiance, food was yummy but some of the portions were small. Service was great. Def worth the hype
Be the first to ReplyIncredibly captivating decor.
Service was quick and friendly. The menu was extensive and my daughter and I found it difficult to settle on a few tasty items. We would definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyI really liked this spot.
The truffle pasta was pretty good and the pizza that has pepperoni and sausage was nice and flavorful. Everyone also really liked the crust on it. I wish the pizza came cut though. Make a reservation for this place. We went on a Monday night and it was packed!

Bookmarked it and visited on our London vacation. According to their website, many people book over a month in advance. Got very lucky with my partner and we got a walk in table for two. Place is gorgeous! Bottles of all shapes and sizes lined up on all the walls. It was jam packed!Drinks were simple yet very good and refreshing. We shared the empanadas and arancini to start. My husband had the Mafaldine al Tartufo and I the Girella al Formaggio. So good! Would give this place a second try.
Be the first to ReplyReally disappointed by this dining experience.
Was so excited & made sure to reserve a reminder on my calendar for this reservation. The food was really underwhelming / lacking in flavor & we did not have our waiter check on us once throughout the dinner. Would only recommend for you to come here for drinks and / or dessert. The ambiance was beautiful and amazing. You have to pay on your phone at the end too which was definitely a bummer. Wont come back or recommend to anyone unfortunately

We met some friends at Circolo Popolare and had a wonderful meal. I didn't do any research before we arrived so I had no idea what to expect when we walked in except I knew it was Italian. The restaurant is visually beautiful. It's a large space but it's very inviting, with cool lighting that illuminates hundreds and hundreds of liquor bottles lining the walls. It is really truly very visually beautiful to look at. We were seating immediately and we got to eating!-We got a few appetizers... everyone got an empanada, which was good but not particularly special. We got the kale appetizer, which was tasty. However the bread was very difficult to cut through because it was so thick. We had a bit of trouble sharing it, but we made do. Then for entrees, the two ladies at the table split the two-person carbonara. Can I tell you? When the food arrived, the boys were super jealous. The carbonara is prepared tableside in a huge hallowed out wheel of cheese. The waiter mixes the pasta with all the other ingredients right in the center of the cheese wheel and then dishes out the lovely pasta that is perfectly al dente with the most ridiculous sauce and the most perfectly crispy lardons. It is carbonara perfection, and I LOVE carbonara, so that IS saying something. For dessert I had the tirimasu, which is served scooped generously from a family-style tray just like you would at home. Service was good, drinks were a lot of fun (especially the one that comes in a mug shaped like a lady's chest!). Would absolutely return.

I have been in London for a week and finally was able to get into this restaurant. Wow wow it's was the best experience I have had. The food was beyond. The carbonara pasta was to die for it was way better then I expected. The drinks were kick ass try the express martini for sure. The restaurant is beautiful feels like your in garden in Italy. tiramisu is must try as well I can't wait to go back here when I return
Be the first to ReplyI went out for dinner here last night with a friend of mine.
To begin with we sat for about 15 minutes before we finally managed to wave down a server to get a drink and some water. We had three starters to share and two pastas we split and a few cocktails. The starters were bland and the empanada was undercooked. The pasta a Ragu was OK but nothing to rave about. The truffle pasta was so salty it was almost inedible. Also for everything they took away from us, we had to literally wave down someone else for a coffee or our desserts. The vibe is ok, but I think this place is riding on it's reputation alone. Big tables around us seemed a bit chaotic and like they were more interested in taking pictures rather than being out for dinner. If you're young and don't know much about good Italian food, then this place will be great for likes. You can get better food/service elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyCute spot, good drinks, mediocre food.
The food lacked flavor and we felt like we all had to add more salt to the food to get more depth. My partner also got food poisoning here and he had ordered the seafood dish so maybe stay away from those dishes. Service was ok, we had to flag them down a few times but drinks/food came out quick.

Loved the atmosphere and staff! Unfortunately both dishes I ordered, one pasta, one pizza, were bland to my taste. Very good quality but just not a lot of flavor. Would have liked a pasta with marinara option on the menu as well. To be fair I like my dishes a little spicy so others might love the food here.

Dr. Dani was a fantastic server. He has amazing energy :) recommend getting the Big Mama Carpaccio, was outstanding!!!! Truffle Pizza was the bomb and also the Truffle Pasta
Be the first to ReplyI just don't get the hype nor great reviews on every portal.
I have been there twice now- first time was so unimpressed but thought maybe I give it another shot and feelings stayed same. Why 3 stars then because ambience is lovely- the bottles, the lighting, the vibe- it's a fun place, and the service is great too. Food isn't bad but not memorable. Nothing is wow, nothing is I can't wait to try this again. Their popular carbonara is sooooo rich- it's like mac and cheese but with spaghetti. Burrata was meh. Pizza is fine - have a had a few but none to write here about. I may still come back to get a drink and nibbles but will definitely come with expecting average food.

Was honestly just kind of lost and hungry when we stumbled upon this place for dinner, but honestly it was a great meal! The ambiance and decor and beautiful, and the food was delicious as well. I ordered the ragu and it was possibly the best pasta I've ever had--the sauce was flavorful and tomatoey, the pasta was the right amount of chewy, and the beef was so tender. We also shared some apps that were delicious as well! Overall would definitely recommend!

We've been to east mamma in Paris and loved it, so we were happy to try this place, which boasts a nearly identical menu. We loved the truffle pasta and the bad vegan pizza (though we had regular cheese) and would recommend to others
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is beautiful and has a fun vibe.
The food, however, is totally average. We had the burrata, naughty garlic bread and the beef carpaccio to start. The burrata was fairly flavorless and the bread was tough and chewy. The carpaccio was good but I've definitely had better. For main, we had the carbonara which was tasty, but again, not amazing. Overall, a fine dinner, if slightly disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is SO so cool.
The atmosphere is fun and would be great for a group or even two for a fun night out. They played the best hip hop/pop music from the 90s and early 2000's when I went. Our waitress was so friendly and kind and was constantly checking on us. Shout out to Angeles who even gave us her number in case we want to come back! I highly recommend getting a reservation well in advance (we called about a month ahead I believe). The food and wine were great and reasonably priced. We started with the burrata (huge and probably my favorite dish) which could easily be shared between like 6 people at least. There were three of us and we still had a lot left. We then got a pizza which was spicy and delicious. We drank red wine and ended with espresso martinis that were great. Angeles gave us limoncello shots on the house too which was so so sweet.

Been trying out Italian restaurants for about six years trying to find a carbonara that could tango with one I had (surprisingly) in Copenhagen. Circolo does it all - amazing ambiance, great service (our server constantly walked our row and was very warm) and then you get the amazing food. Next time we fly in, we will def be coming back. Not to miss restaurant!
