A friend invited me out to Cooper's Hawk because she is a member of their wine club and was able to receive a benefit with her membership so we went for a Saturday late afternoon lunch. I was unfamiliar with the restaurant and winery. I had actually never heard of this place before receiving the invite. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see a super cute entrance that was full of people. We sat at their seating outside because it was a nice day. The service was excellent. We were checked on at a good cadence. We started with a wine flight and I will have to say that all of the wine that I had were delicious. I then followed up with another glass but forget which one I chose. Aside from the great wine! We got the Brussels sprouts for an app and truly these are On the top of my list for favorite brussels sprouts of all times. As a main course, I had their vegetable and goat cheese flatbread, which is technically listed as an appetizer, but I had it as my meal. It was also delicious. Once we were done. We went back into the front entrance, which is where their wine tasting room is and took a look around. I left with a bottle of their seasonal sangria and I look forward to cracking that open soon. After I left I also called some of my family and told them that we need to make a trip to Cooper's Hawk next time they are in town. I just loved the service, the food, the vibe and the wine!
Be the first to ReplyMy fav place to go for any occasion.
Romantic, brunch, girls nite, kids nite why not!!! Fell in love with it my first time in Jacksonville then found on in Tampa and they just build a new one in Wesley Chapel. Food, great service and fun. I'm even a wine member
Be the first to ReplyAttended their monthly dining event.
It was very nice. Large group of us were seated together family style in an area away from the regular guests. We enjoyed a three course meal, each course had its own wine pairing. Food was absolutely fabulous! So much so that I am attending the event again next month.

I still love me some CHW but today's lunch out with a vendor was off. Our tables order took FOREVER to come out with tables around us getting their food before us. When the food arrived, there were 2 that were not correct and my flatbread was COLD and SOGGY. Flavor still good but come on! You pay $20 for a flatbread and salad and it arrived cold. Very disappointing CHW! I know you're better than this. This place does fill up quick even on a workday. So reservations are always a must if you don't want to have a long wait time and a guaranteed seat. There is open seating in the bar area but even that may take a while for you to get one. It also gets rather loud in here.

I've been to several Cooper's across the region and have been thoroughly impressed in each occasion. The level of service, diverse menu options, and excellent execution are what makes them a favorite of local populations across Florida and keeps them packed nightly in these highly competitive markets. The flatbread appetizers are a must. Both the whipped burrata and the roast vegetable goat cheese varieties are excellent and perfect for sharing. For entrees, you can't go wrong with any fish dish here. The pan roasted mahi mahi with ginger rice and coconut curry sauce was amazing. They have surf and turf options as well as some good vegetarian options like sweet corn and tomato risotto. Desserts are sizable and easily shared. Recommend the key lime pie. Ambiance has a real winery vibe to it. Lively and bustling with groups congregating at the tasting area at front of house. Service staff is excellent. Always worth seeking out a Cooper's if nearby. Always make a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation and we waited 2 hours on the food.
Food was cold and tasteless. asked if they heat my food so they made me wait another 30 minutes till they gave me my plate back and then noticed 2 charges for my dish on my check. Our server was so slow and did not come to the table to check on us, my daughter asked for a sauce to go with her meat and the sauce came in after she was done eating. not going back for sure.
Be the first to ReplyFood was fantastic.
My two stars are for the server. I didn't catch his name but I know he was kind of tall, has a beard , thick Spanish accent, and long hair. Every time he came to our table he could not have a conversation without inputting a curse word in between his sentences.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place especially if you love wine and good food.
I'm a beer guy so not much for me but I expected that. So many great choices on the menu including vegan.

Wow! What a great experience! Our server Jordan was personable and left no detail unaddressed. We were offered two wines to taste before ordering, he made great recommendations about the food, and even split our shared appetizer into two small portions. The meal was perfectly timed. The food was great, very tasty and customized to our liking. This was a wonderful discovery and I can't recommend it highly enough. The wine tasting area was noisy but we made a dinner reservation right before arriving and our table allowed for dinner conversation just fine. Just go!!!!!

Just go! You won't regret it. Make a reservation because it's a popular place for very good reason. The wine tasting bar looks like a fun experience as well. Parking can be tight so prepare to valet.

I've been to a number of Cooper's Hawks in different cities, and this may be my favorite! It's in a gorgeous setting, and the staff is kind and welcoming. The food here is always great, I highly recommend all of the appetizers and their gnocchi. I tend to avoid chain restaurants, but I'll make an exception for this one! Parking is a pain here though, come prepared to use the valet services or walk some distance.

A Wine Wednesday must experience spot! I went initially for the wine tasting, and ended up joining their wine club. The place is amazing and lively! I do recommend if you want to experience their wine tasting, get there early because the place can get packed! The knowledge and variety of wine options are phenomenal. Even offered to swap out wines during the tasting based upon your preferences. The Wine club has a few different options, I went with the 2 bottles a month, which comes with monthly wine tasting for 2!Plan to eat after the tasting and I promise you it's worth the wait unless you get lucky in the bar area. My favorites and must have are the brussel sprouts, and egg rolls!! I was even able to have one of my bottles of wine brought to the table to enjoy! I highly recommend a visit!
Be the first to ReplyMade a reservation for 8pm on a Wednesday night.
We showed up about 15 min early and it was extremely packed. We were told it would be about 15-20 minutes until we were seated, which was understandable considering the amount of people there. After 30 minutes of waiting, we checked back in on our wait time. The hostess very rudely said we've still got 10 more minutes to wait. After waiting for 45 minutes past our reservation time, we decided to eat elsewhere. I didn't receive a text that our table was ready until 9 pm, which is supposedly their closing time? We were looking forward to trying but will not be going back

Can't say enough about either one. Always a pleasure dining at the Hawk

You know one of those magical nights that become one of your favorite memories? Or a random night that you weren't aware was special yet? This best describes the evening my partner & I had yesterday. Thank you Bianca & Logan for engaging conversation, a great atmosphere & for your service and kindness.
Be the first to ReplyMany gluten free options.
The GF bread is AMAZING! The pasta and some dishes are just ok, but the lettuce wraps I 10/10 recommend they are very flavorful! A great place to take people with a variety of diets.

Let me just start of with saying Justin has been by far the best wine server we have had in this establishment. He has really good taste and recommends the best wines to your tastes. We come once a month and head straight to him for recommendations. The wine selection at Coopershawk is absolutely extraordinary. We also meet the nicest people while tasting wine here.
Be the first to ReplyService was excellent.
Came here at lunch time on holiday weekend, tasting area was packed restaurant was full as well. The parking at the location sucks, you have to park pretty far away to find a place to park. The restaurant was extremely loud, had to yell to be heard. Our waitress was great, she immediately brought our waters and the complimentary pretzel bread. She was also helpful with picking the right wine to go with our meals, brought tastings to make sure we received the glass we wanted. The Coopers Hawk White was amazing. We ordered the drunken shrimp as appetizer, highly recommend. Also, ordered the crusted pork chop and soy ginger salmon. The salmon was a little over salted for my taste. Overall good experience would come back for the wine.

I'm a huge fan of Cooper's Hawk - so much so that I became a wine club member. But let's start at the beginning.I started going to Cooper's Hawk back when I lived in Broward County. The wine tastings were fun (although my taste in wine back then was remarkably different than it is today), and the food was pretty good. But join a wine club? Absolutely not. I'm wary of any "club membership" type things.Fast forward to 2022. I live in Tampa, I went to Napa for my honeymoon and discovered that, shocker, I actually LIKE red wine... and upon really paying attention to the details of the Cooper's Hawk wine club, it's a surprisingly good deal. You can cancel literally whenever you want, your bottles never expire if you don't pick them up, and if you don't like the featured wine of the month, just swap it out for something else. And if you get at least the two-bottle-a-month membership, you get two free wine tastings a month (which is worth $20 right there). So right off the bat, you can either think of it like you get those wine tastings for free -- or, like one of those two wine bottles is free. Every dollar you spend also counts toward rewards points, which add up to earn you $25 loyalty rewards... plus, you and your "secondary member" on your account both get $15 birthday rewards too. Seriously, you guys. It's a really good deal. And if you do cancel your membership and decide to start it again, any rewards points you have will be reactivated. They also do members-only wine dinners each month that are really good (they cost extra but the dinners are great!). And finally, you can also use your monthly bottles when you dine at the restaurant -- and that way, you don't have to pay the higher price on the menu (which basically includes a corkage fee built-in).OK, I'm done selling the membership now. For real though, do it if you like wine. Onto the food: everything I've had here has been delicious, but their short rib is where it's at. They make several different entrees with it, and there's a reason why -- it's just so good, and it's not fatty either. Their chicken entrees have all been really tasty as well, and their fish and chips entree was great too. They also do seasonal specials that you should check out -- there was a steak flatbread appetizer that I keep waiting to come back because it was just that good.As for the wine tastings -- they're first-come, first-serve, and the weekends are very busy. People end up standing around like vultures waiting for a spot to open up. It's kinda stressful, to be honest. There's a circular bar to the left when you first walk in that also does tastings -- it's far away from the main bar, so it might not be immediately obvious that they do them there as well. Just be prepared to be patient if you're coming in for a tasting, and try to go at an off time. 1-2 pm on a Saturday is going to be busy, for instance. You'll generally have better luck on weekdays (unless it's a Tuesday night that they're doing the wine club dinners, FYI -- those happen once a month).
Be the first to ReplyCooper's Hawk never disappoints.
Have had a wide variety of dishes from steak salad, surf and turf, pasta and sandwiches and all very good. I prefer the lux line of wines the Chardonnay and pinot noir being my favorites. Service is nothing less than spectacular. Recommend always make reservations.

We had a reservation, so we were taken to our table pretty quickly. Service was good. Food was excellent. I had the Gnocchi, and I couldn't stop eating them. Their Barrel wine is my favorite, and I don't like red wine.

We received a gift card for this place and finally got a reservation to use it. I was very cautious about Coopers Hawk as a winery. I'm a Nor Cal native and anywhere outside of CA that says they are a winery makes me suspect (don't get me wrong, I have been to plenty of lovely and good wineries outside CA).Anyhow, I made reservations 2 weeks ago for a 5:30 Saturday time. I'm glad we came on the earlier side as the service, while good, I can imagine it would slow w more people entering.Madeleine was our server (she is great!) We started w potstickers, then ordered Salmon, Pork Chops, and chicken tenders. The clear winner of the evening was the slaw that came w the potstickers & salmon. Also ordered a red wine flight & flourless chocolate torte and Reese's cookie. When I looked online at the prices I thought, huh.... In all actuality the portions and food quality are great for the price. This restaurant is great, good quality food, nice servers. It is nothing like being in Napa, but I'll take it.Thank you Coopers Hawk!

The bar was nice, our bartender a blonde was not overly friendly. I felt like we were an imposition to her. I would still come back, because I like the food.
Be the first to ReplyWe're not from here, we're from Dallas.
And by "we" I mean me, my husband and my two young kids. Our flight sadly was canceled after sitting on the tarmac with two young children and by the time we get to our hastily booked hotel, I have two young children that are starving and we just need a place to eat that is easily accessible and close enough that we can walk to, from our hotel (we did not have car seats). I called Cooper's Hawk and talked to Karen and explained this to her. Really hoping that we could get some assistance and help and kindness after a very, very long day. Sadly, I was told that the wait for two adults and two children would be 1 hour and 45 minutes. When I explained our situation, she again reiterated that the wait would be 1 hour and 45 minutes. I love Cooper's Hawk... My husband and I ate there a lot in Virginia where we used to live. This experience however, was incredibly disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyCoopers Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants.
They have an amazing wine and sangria selection. The sparkling raspberry wine is a fave. Overall great vibe and great location. Everything is also reasonably priced.
