Our stay at Corendon Hotel was the best one we've had in
Our stay at Corendon Hotel was the best one we've had in all of Europe so far. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces and able to check in to our room four hours early! The room was excellent; It was so spacious and had a very nice bathroom too. There was also complementary flavored water in the lobby and an optional all you can eat breakfast that was SO GOOD. The staff offered us options of things to do around Amsterdam and recommended their favorite local spots. We are definitely going to stay here again in the future!
Be the first to ReplyFanatasic colour used through out the hotel.
Am very sure everyone who visits will love to stay for a minimum of two weeks, they was a conference area which I had seen but didn't have time to visit as I had some other meetings in the area

If you're looking for a convenient location close to the tram and train system to get you to and from the heart of Amsterdam in ~30 minutes then this is the place for you. They also have a gym downstairs open 24/7 with well kept equipments. They also offer bike rentals for 18 euro/day but you can find cheaper options elsewhere. They offer breakfast for 17.5 to 19 euro/person/day but again, you can likely find cheaper options elsewhere depending on your needs. They claim to be a 4-star hotel (keeping in mind that the star rating system is different from North America) but their services and amenities available still make it feel more like a 3-star experience. They will not replace the complimentary water bottle from day 1 and they will not change the sheets (we know because it had a stain at a certain spot). In fact at this time the hotel may be undergoing renovations as well - while in the elevator, we somehow ended up on the 7th floor and found a worker with a largely unfinished floor. They also had a wifi issue which they at least announces to the guests that they acknowledge this, but then proceeded to share it'll maybe take a week to fix (so, our duration of stay) Keep in mind, the price is very reasonable and they are in an accessible location. The hotel star rating system is likely checklist-driven, so keep your expectations low.
Be the first to ReplyThe hotel room is very nice.
The Spa is eh, I went on a Thursday and we paid the extra for the spa because I was under the impression it was a clothed spa, sure woman had clothes on around their waste but I really wasn't in the mood for a bunch of half dressed women (I know, I know, stupid American Expat) it wouldn't have been so bad if I had expected people to be unclothed, or when I mentioned that and the level of noise to the attendant that something was done about it but nothing was done about either. I tried again the next morning as soon as it opened, however they weren't finished cleaning so the steam room and the sauna weren't hot, for awhile after being there, at least it was pretty much empty so I was able to relax a little.
Be the first to ReplyI loved my stay here (10/2016).
The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel is new and clean. The complimentary daily breakfast was generous and delicious. The hotel was a bit far from Central, maybe 35 min tram ride. I didn't mind since rides offered a nice view through town. The tram and metro were a few minutes walk away. There were some grocery stores about a 10 minute walk away. Not much for restaurant options nearby. I would stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyTerrific find in Amsterdam.
Modern, clean hotel very close to metro and also to tram (about a 7 min walk). AY restaurant is surprisingly good, at least the Bittergarnituur (an assortment of fried delicacies - cheese, chicken etc for 10 euros). We like it so much we went back twice and we're interested to see good sized crowds in the restaurant both times.

The rooms were clean; bed was very comfortable. They only offered a thick comforter and a thin sheet; would have liked a medium weight option. Breakfast buffet offered an assortment of hot and cold items; vegetarian options. Appreciated the 24/7 "store" in the lobby; offering snacks and essentials. Overall decor is modern -lobby and rooms. Location: Not much in the immediate area, but you can easily access public transportation to head to the hot spots. Front desk is helpful with directions.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place.
AMAZING SPA and super economical. The only down side is that it's little bit far from the center city--but it is down the street from a train station that will get you there in about 10 minutes.

I booked it on Hotels.com- because we wanted a long stay, and didn't mind being out of the city center. This is located in a semi-industrial area, and there is a lot of construction across the street- which we don't mind at all. A short walk away there is a shopping center with a Lindl market, an Albert Hein, and some other shops and restaurants. (Efem even has a Yelp review). We booked a Queen bed room, and were pleasantly surprised. It's clean, comfortable, has a tea maker, a fridge and a safe. Love the walk in shower- so tired of risking my neck trying to get out of high sided tubs. Love the quick elevator. Nice restaurant on site- not cheap, but good food and a good cappuccino. There's also a faster food stop which sells pastries, sandwiches and fruit- as well as drinks. Wifi is good, service is excellent, and everyone is very nice. I would definitely stay here again. Parking is expensive- I heard a sad German trying to get a discount. He did NOT want to pay 20 Euros a night for his car (can't blame him.) There is free parking if you don't mind a small walk to the hotel- but I'm not sure how safe it is. Lots of business people seem to meet here at the restaurant (Ay) at lunch. It's a pretty restaurant with some interesting menu choices.

This brand new hotel just outside the city centre of Amsterdam is a very comfortable place to stay when you are looking for luxury for a good value. This March is the grand opening and I had the opportunity to test it. This hotel has four unique selling points. First, you can have your own airplane in your room. What?! Yes, you're reading it right. An AIRPLANE. On the seventh floor of the hotel they build in a real plane. In the cockpit room you can control a plane by yourself. With a simulator you can takeoff, fly to another destination and ofcourse you will be responsible for the landing also. In the business class they build in a conference room for sixteen people. So are you looking for a meeting room and you want to impress your client. GO HERE! There is also a luxurious bathroom and a very nice bed to crash on. Also the other rooms are very comfortabel en modern. The bed are very nice and soft (specially designed for the Corendon Hotels) and brand new bathrooms with a large shower cabin. There is soap and shampoo, a possibility to make tea, HD tv screen with international channels and a mini bar. Take a look at the pictures above the bed. If you know Istanbull and Amsterdam for a bit, you will notice something odd. Second, there is a very nice vitality spa. This is quit unique in Amsterdam and is open for everyone (so also if you are not staying in the hotel). There will be a pool with a four season theme. Chill on the beach with (fake) sunlight and (fake) sand. You will even smell the ocean! Besides the pool there is a hammam (a Turkisch bathouse) and several relaxing and therapeutic treatments. So if you're recovering from a surgery this is possible here. They even have botox treatments! The disadvantage is that you will have to pay for the entree of the spa. If you are a guest of the hotel it will cost you 15 euro per person, otherwise it's 19,50 euro. The reason is that the spa provides room for only fourty persons at the same time.Third, the breakfast is THA BOMB! If you like English breakfast (eggs and sausages), France (brie, croissaint or yoghurt), Dutch (bread with cheese or peanutbutter), American (bacon) or more mediterranean (Turkish bread, different kind of fish, olive, salami). It's ALL there! And last but not least, the service is excellent. De staff is very enthusiastic and helpfull. You will feel very welcome here. The only thing is, it's not in the city centre. Yes, there is a metro station nearby, but it will take more then 15 minutes to get in the centre of Amsterdam. But in Amsterdam and The Netherlands the bike is our dear friend. So rent one and then you can be within 15 minutes in the Vondelpark. AND you will see a lot more of Amsterdam to!
