The oyster happy hour is a great deal with very fresh oyster. There is a good variety. The space is a bit tight. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Favorite seafood restaurant on the mid-east side Amazing food! Great service. Will definitely be coming back again.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was incredibly average.
We were overcharged by $100+ and the waiters were sassy. They also brought me the wrong dish. Very dark and loud. Not worth it
Be the first to ReplyWARNING: Check your bill.
.this place will charge you for top shelf premium liquor in simple mixed drinks without telling you. They assume that their clientele is expense account based and that nobody will question them. We had a disgusting experience despite the great food.It took two revisions to my bill to get it right. The total difference from first bill the final bill was $100. Really? Not even an " I'm sorry".Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

We were seated by the door in this tight corner but it's what you expect from a NYC restaurant. We got a ton of variety and they were all pretty okay. The service was pretty slow and it was slow enough where I wouldn't come again. One item worth mentioning was the Lobster Curry and it was so overpriced that there were only a couple pieces of lobster. All in all, my experience was pretty average; nothing to rave about.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant should have been a lot better.
The service was good and the atmosphere was lovely but the food was really subpar. For a fish restaurant the choices for fish were bland. I get the sustainability concept and therefore only farm raised fish were available but then those fish should be exceptional and not either bland or fishy tasting. The appetizers we have were the octopus, the crap sushi and the calamari. The octopus was non existent, maybe 4 bites with huge pieces of potatoes. It was good but certainly not worth the price. They crab sushi was bland. Tasted only like the ghee. The calamari was good, lightly fried on a salad of bean sprouts. The best of the three for sure but not a lot of the calamari only the sprouts. We then had as mains, the grilled salmon (fishy) which was so small and probably a 1/3lb for $35 and came as is side weren't included. The fries we ordered to accompany it were amazing though. The had 2 orders of the barramundi. Those the guests eating it said that it was pretty good. We had another grilled fish that was pretty much left uneaten. My son had the best dishes, he got the salmon tostadas and the fish tacos. Both were delicious. I ordered the steak which unfortunately came out blue and didn't eat. They took it off the bill, which was nice and the deserts were all delicious but a $600 plus bill for an average meal isn't a place I'd recommend. I will add the staff was really nice though and the bar looked like a fun place to grab and drink and the fish tacos if I was in the area.

Second time trying Crave Fishbar and second impression was equivalent to the first - just an average restaurant, with average service and average food quality.Received an email promoting their Prefixe Valentine's Day menu, so I decided to give it a shot since I work nearby. What an underwhelming experience, especially on Valentine's Day. They made no effort to make it special for the patrons.Worse - the menu was misrepresented. The completed omitted the appetizer advertised and substituted with an amuse of one single oyster, yes one without even disclosing it to patrons. They claimed they served Wagu beef, but we believe it was a cheap supermarket cut. It was chewy and tough and lacked flavor. Tuna was overcooked.Deserts were ok.Presentation was fine.Service and effort was mediocre.Food quality and taste - mediocre!

Let's begin w/DLAF! That's Crave's acronym for Drink like a Fish and that we did at their bottomless brunch! I honestly can't say that we didn't have anything that wasn't a WOW factor. So obviously we had to order the DLAF and the best part is that you could opt to go w/the margarita for an extra $5 - totally worth it. We ordered the shuckers choice $1.5 oysters of the day (Blue Points). To go with that we also had calamari @ spicy tuna. It was originally supposed to have been spicy scallop - ergo the 4 vs 5 star. Really wished they weren't out of scallops! That said the spicy tuna came packed with so much flavor from the sautéed greens! It definitely helped soften the disappointment of not having the scallop version. Honestly this may have been the best spicy tuna roll I've ever had! We ordered a second! This was the beginning of our eat n drink New York day. Oh and let's not forget about getting to the Potter play later. So our first stop was an utter success! Can't wait to come back

Great location with NYC vibes! Two stories with small outdoor patio and bar inside. It has the classic loud, music with loud chatter in dim lights look. My barrumundi fish was delicious and pretty big. It was a pretty healthy dish, just the seasoned fish on top of asparagus. However, way overpriced.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is great.
The food was fresh and prepared for taste and presentation. I had the black ink squid pasta and my husband had the curry dish. Both dishes are a must! This will be our go to spot when we return.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious fish tacos.
Lots of gluten free options. Great service. Sadly, a noisy table nearby marred our total enjoyment.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my "go to" when in midtown east.
I've tried a number of items on the menu and there are far more hits than misses! Their "oyster happy hour" is amazing. A huge variety of oysters for $1 each. If you go for happy hour, make sure to get there as soon after opening as possible since it gets packed!

My favorite spot for HH oysters in the city! Everything is super fresh and they always have a wide selection of oysters from a variety of places.

My friend was in the mood for oysters and I was in the mood for a gin cocktail. She loved the oysters and the Pure Luck gin drink was amazing. The Good Life Cocktail, now it is Tequila, was phenomenal as well. The bartender was super nice and it was such a nice atmosphere. I actually started to get a little hungry so I ordered the fries. Ended up ordering two orders because they were so good!If you're out and about and want an aesthetically pleasing place to have a drink and some food, I definitely recommend Crave Fishbar!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious dinner on the patio.
We tried the calamari, lobster curry, barramundi with rice and Brussels sprouts. All freshly made and yummy

My boyfriend and I stopped by crave fish bar for brunch and we are glad we did. I had a pulsd voucher and we each got a lobster roll as well as a dozen oysters. The oysters were delicious and super fresh! We first ordered 4 then decided to order 8 more. I also had a mimosa. The lobster roll came with fries and the fries were perfect! The lobster roll was also good but I would've preferred a better sauce on it to bring it together. I asked for lemon and melted butter and it helped. There was also a generous portion of lobster which was a plus. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall I would come back definitely for the oysters and fries
Be the first to ReplyThe owner wasn't wearing a mask and wouldn't stop coming
The owner wasn't wearing a mask and wouldn't stop coming over to our table--he was also very drunk. He seemed obnoxious in general, but I could've dealt with that on its own. This isn't meant to be a personal attack and I would've skipped the review if that was the only issue. He's not the first restaurant owner to intrude on a meal. But doing so repeatedly and without a mask was incredibly frustrating. He was interacting with some of his maskless employees. (Only one other came over to our table without a mask--they were generally good otherwise.) But now I feel like (and realistically was) in contact with everyone who worked there that day. And just waiting another day or two in fear before I'll get tested. Worst Covid restaurant experience by far.
Be the first to ReplyCozy spot with a creative menu.
Came here on a Thursday night and got here earlier than our reservation. It was crowded but the server said we could sit at the bar. Started with the Faroe Island Salmon Nigiri. This is not your typical sushi nigiri as the salmon was not completely raw. It seemed to be seared a bit and was topped with creamy avocado and spring onion. The Oven Roasted Barramundi was soft and tender and the honey miso glazed really complimented the fish. The asparagus was cooked well and crisp. The Squid Ink Spaghetti was cooked Al dente and they was a lot of shrimp. I felt there was a hint of dill or some herb but it wasn't too powerful. The Fresno chili did have a kick as well but wasn't too spicy. You can tell the seafood is fresh and of nice quality.
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I came here for dinner on Christmas eve.
The decor was very cute and nautical themed, with lots of blue tones and I really liked the octopus mural on the ceiling. We ordered a ton of food, starting with the oysters of course. They were pretty good, no bits of shell or anything in them and tasted nice. Next we got the Plancha Grilled octopus and a spicy scallop sushi roll. They were both just ok, the octopus was a little bitter and somewhat chewey. The sushi was good but nothing special. For my entree I shared the Crab Fusilli and yellowfin tuna with my mom. The tuna was very tasty! It was cooked well. The corn mixture underneath was a nice touch and different from other sides I've had with tuna dishes but I really enjoyed it. The Fusilli was amazing! There was a ton of crab in it so I appreciated that they were not stingy with it. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavors all blended so nicely. That was probably my favorite dish. We also shared the brussel sprouts which were tasty. For desert, we got the Crave Sundae. This was such an interesting combination for ice cream but I loved it. The apple crumble throughout added a much needed fresh touch and the chocolate was so rich. Also, all of our dishes came out fairly quickly which was appreciated. Overall I had a very nice experience here. Definitely worth a try.
