It's awesome.
Just awesome start to finish - the venue, the service, and, above all, the food!

I have a vacation home here in Miami, and decided to try some ceviche after the beach since I haven't been here much. I found this place nearby and it didn't disappoint, I had a great time with my family. Delicious

Consider this a hidden gem! Randomly went here for date night and it was happy hour. We had the Anticuchos Filet Mignon, Sake Aburi, El Misterioso y abusivo & Pulpo Estirado. Absolutely delicious - all of them. My favorite El misterioso and my boyfriend loved the pulpo esitrado. We had all the drinks, as well. Very well balanced. None of them too sour which is usually what happens. My favorite was the Chan Chan and my boyfriend favored the Pasado De Moda. The decor is beautiful. Our bartender, Ceasar, was attentive - the whole bar staff was.

A little bit pricey but good quality. Easy parking. Nice ambiance, for family, friends, groups. Service was nice. I'll go back every time I'm in FL.

Really enjoyed our mealWe got the traditional ceviche and lomo saltaldo. We sat the bar and Gerardo was a great bartender! He recommended and made a great mezcal drink for us. Service was great. Good music from dj. Fun vibe! Look forward to a meal at Ceviche 105 each time we visit Miami.

So, I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one and was glad I did. The food was so good and the ceviche sampler was so fresh. I am now a big fan of Peruvian food. My husband and I were surprised by how good this place is and is a must on list when in Miami.
Be the first to ReplyFoods were good.
I was lost when I looked at the menu so I asked their server for recommendations. They recommended us sth I didn't remember what was that lol but I asked the price where it was $95. It was a little costly, not quite worth that price but considering that was a tourist area and I asked the price and agreed, the foods weren't bad raw seafood tasted fresh so I still gave them 5stars.
Be the first to ReplyGreat unexpected menu choices.
Fantastic location. Nice interior and the bar. When the weather is allowed there is also an outdoor seating.

Be the first to ReplyFood Great food, great portions.
ServiceNice waiters during busy times (they seem bored when it's slow).Ambiance Way too many tables so you're very close to those next to you. One of the busiest restaurants in Miami Beach. Restaurant is modern and clean.

Still as packed as ever, but the quality of the food has definitely gone down hill. We've brought our visiting friends here several times, but the latest 2 times were so lackluster... won't be coming back anymore. It's not as yummy as it used to be.
Be the first to ReplyKinda pricey.
It was ok. Food was good. I thought it was expensive. Overall I would consider another alternative if possible
Be the first to ReplyThe food here was great and very worth it in my opinion.
The service was a bit slow but the waiter was still very nice! Bustling ambiance that serves very solid food, i found the ceviche to be very delicious and sour, and the rice dish I got tasted very smokey and flavorful.

We had a wonderful experience here! My party of 5 started off with 2 appetizers (trilogia de ceviches & conchas gratin) which were both mind blowingly delicious and fresh. We then got our own individual dishes which came out in a timely manner. Everyone was very satisfied with their orders and we all tried each other's so we got a taste of everything. The 5 dishes we got was linguini mar y tierra, lomo a lo pobre, mi favorito ribeye, parihuela amelcochada, and perricholi. The portion sizes were huge so we even had leftovers to bring home with us. We ordered 7 items total and our bill came out to be ~$300. I'd recommend making a reservation beforehand like we did because this restaurant is always poppin! They have other locations as well but this one on South Beach is very well known.
Be the first to ReplyTourist trap.
First of all they overcharged me 60 BUCKS when I checked my credit card statement. We got the ceviche platter or whatever and it was sooo mediocre. We were expecting all the fish to have different flavors/ sauces.. they all taste the same essentially. The portions were huge I'll give them that but given that we paid $70 for it, it should be. The paella we got had a lot of seafood in it and it wasn't too bad but would get other stuff. The free corn and plantain chips were pretty good but we easily got that at any other restaurant. Just an extremely overhyped, overpriced restaurant. The servers seem like hustlers and just want you to get the most expensive things so that you can give them lots of tip since it isn't pre-included. I felt this way because when we ordered our ceviche, he asked if we wanted to upgrade one of the ceviches to a different fish for a slightly higher price (not even telling me how much more it is). I said why not and then he comes back and says "actually we don't have that fish today, it'll be a different fish which is slightly higher than the one before" (again not telling us the second price increase either). We obviously declined because of the lack of transparency and he seemed disappointed. Ambiance was cute, nothing special. Experience was pretty much ruined and don't think we'll be coming back. Drinks were good tho.
Be the first to ReplyFirst stop to eat in Miami Beach.
.. it was amazing! Our waiter Chris made the experience even better by not only recommending item on the menu, but also introducing how we should eat each item, so that we experience every flavor to the fullest.. Thank you Chris and Cvi.Che105 for great service and food!

4.5 stars - probably one of my favorite meals by far during a recent trip to Miami!! My friend and I both had CVICHE on our list of must-visits during our trip, and decided to come for dinner. To start off, the drinks here are dangerously yummy and strong - you'll definitely start feeling buzzed after 1-2 drinks. For the food, we stuck to our overordering tendencies and shared the mixed ceviche, octopus, lomo saltado, and arroz con pollo. The portion sizes here are ENORMOUS - this could have easily fed 3-4 people comfortably. We started off with the ceviche which was so incredibly flavorful and refreshing, and by far one of the best ceviches I've had. The fish and seafood were both fresh and offered a good variety. Highly recommend this for anyone who's struggling with the menu options. The octopus was recommended by our waiter & was perfectly tender. The entrees came next and the portion far exceeded my expectations. Lomo saltado was yummy but erred a bit on the saltier side - it definitely needed to be eaten with the rice or something else to balance out the salt. But everything about it was good: the sauce, the onions & tomatoes, and the cook on the beef. Arroz con pollo was also yummy, & the rice was still good as leftovers! It needed the onions to help brighten it up after a few bites but no complaints otherwise. Service & ambience were also great, so we had a pleasant dining experience! Would recommend!
Be the first to ReplyWe love ceviche and we LOVED CVI.
CHE! I very rarely come across exceptional restaurants where everything is excellent (decor, music, atmosphere of folks, drinks, exceptional service, inventive great tasting food). But CVI.CHE is that place. We came around 10pm on a Saturday night without reservations and while the host was trying to seat us next door (which has a smaller menu) since they didn't have anymore outdoor seating, we saw two spots become available at the bar and we snagged them. From the moment we sat down, our bartender Junior was exceptional. He made one of the best passionfruit margaritas I have ever had. The menu is so extensive. We started off with the Cause de Cangrego Con Palta (Peruvian causa with crabmeat). This was such a surprising delight to eat because it was a combination of starch, meat, salty, pepper, fried capers, and then almonds for crunch/texture). Of course we had to try one of the ceviches, and we went with the La Caleta de Pucusana which had a tiger's milk base, with shrimp and scallops. My first time ever having ceviche was Peruvian style and it's my favorite way to eat ceviche, yet I don't think I've had it that way since I first tried it in Miami 10 years ago! This ceviche was perfectly executed and the sauce was so flavorful. We did ask for some extra vegetables (onions, Peruvian corn, and cilantro) because there was just a lot of thick cuts of meat and I wanted something to break up eating a whole bunch of raw meat. My boyfriend and I decided to split our next dish. While we were gonna order the Arroz con Pollo but they were out of the chicken they use for it. Junior mentioned that they did have one piece of chicken left for some fried rice fi we wanted it. We decided to get the fried rice not knowing the treat we were in store for because that was the second-best fried rice I've ever had (surprisingly my favorite fried rice was this grilled blue crab fried rice I discovered while in grad school in Lafayette, Indiana). But the fried rice at Cvi.che was citrusy, cooked to perfection with an insane amount of veggies and fried eggs so every bite was the perfect bite. I had 3 passionfruit margaritas, but my boyfriend also tried the Pisco sour which was delightful. My boo also asked them to give him the strongest thing they had so Junior gave us this plantation rum which packed some heat and messed my hunni up for awhile (but that's what he got asking for the strongest thing at a Peruvian restaurant, lol). We stayed talking to our fellow barmates and Junior (who were both from Cuba). Junior was so kind to show us pictures of Cuba since we'd never been -- including some of him at a club in a cave! We ended up staying until closing having a ball and since my hunni is a chef and a musician, he recognized that they had switched over from the radio hits they were playing and were playing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" which was their last call song. Such a lovely gesture and so perfect. Cvi.Che was one of my best dining experiences ever. Hats off to to the chef and his beautiful team of folks. I can't wait to come back.

Not really a fan of Peruvian food to be honest but I really wanted to try this place out due to the hype. I really wish servers gave their honest recommendations on what's good instead of just telling people to get the most expensive thing on the menu because our dishes weren't that good. Their ceviche is really slathered in onions, it's insane. It was good though. However, my entree was definitely whatever. They doused it in this sauce which overpowered the entire dish. The presentations of all their dishes was definitely cool though so they do put a lot of effort and care into their menu, I just didn't personally find it filling. It's a bit far away from Miami Beach so if you're a far of Peruvian food, make the trip.
Be the first to ReplyI really wanted to give this more than a 3star especially
I really wanted to give this more than a 3star especially since we were taking my niece and her fiancรฉ out her for dinner from Chicago. I came here under a recommendation from a friend. - it is just south of Lincoln Road where everything is happening. First odd thing was when I checked in, the hostess said inside or outside. When I went to go inside she said we had one table left. And I must worn you, the air conditioning is not working right. Well, we opted inside because outside was just oppressive (personally they should have texted me earlier to let me know about the a/c). Well, we told the waitress we were celebrating my niece and future nephew but he didn't really do anything. This place was recommended by a local and I must say I love Peruvian food. They do have other locations including downtown and the Aventura Mall.I ordered a lychee martini (which was very good), and a pisco. We had combination of chicken and meat at the table and seafood. I would say the food is very good but the waiter should have paid a little ore attention to the reason we were there!
