One of thè best, if not thè best culinary experience I’ve ever had. De Liberije is worth to save for, wait for, go to.
I’ve seen and visited several Michelin star rated restaurants in my life, but De Liberije (together with El Bulli, unfortunately closed for business) is by far thé best restaurant I’ve ever had the privilege to visit. It’s sounds cliche but De Liberije really is of the best, if not, thé best culinary journey I’ve ever experienced.

De Librije is a wonderful restaurant. Beautiful fine dining. The meal was delicious. The wines were great too. Amazing Michelin star restaurant.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I drove out to
I had no idea what I was getting into when I drove out to Zwolle. It turns out I would get some of the best hospitality anywhere in the world. I get tons of miles running in my neighborhood and try and smile/say hello to everyone I see. Most people couldnt bother to even look me in the eye or pretend I just dont exist. Everyone I saw strolling through Zwolle either smiled or said hello. It's pretty clear Im not from the area but the warmth I got from the community was so different from what I was used to, It only made sense that all the places I ate at were insanely hospitable and that the Hotel/Restaurant of De Librije would host me so amazingly. I had eaten at a few of the groups restaurants unknowingly at first and then some after I visited the flagship. Is was amazing all around. but as what's considered the best restaurant in the Netherlands by many it would be off the charts. It's kind of funny that historically De Librije or Library moved to what is now in a huge complex (hotel, cooking school, restaurant and retail shop) that used to be a women's prison. Yes you heard me right a prison. Funny enough one of the other great restaurants in town is in an old plague house. What's going on here Zwolle? The property is huge and the group has done an insane job of turning it into a world class palace of hospitality. If you're a Tasmanian devil like me the thing that makes sense is to get the Librije Menu and supplement with the classics as supplements. It's an 8 course menu and 3 supplements but when the kitchen sniffs out voracity, there maybe even more things coming. I lost count. Also had them suggest wines based on what was being eaten and the team paired a ton of awesome choices to go along with the meal. It was a crazy rainy day (not unusual here) and it was well spent eating lunch leisurely, enjoying the restaurant's top notch team and the incredible food. Chef Jonnie and Dining Room Queen Therese are a well traveled couple and you'll see influences in the food and wine from all over the world. I definitely would not call this Dutch classic cuisine by any stretch. Where I live "Modern American is a term that basically means anything not easily classified. I dont know the Dutch terminology for this but it is similar in concept. At the end of the day, delicious is all that matters, and De Librije has that in spades. Delicious, creative, ambitious yet super friendly in an amazing space. I hope to get back here sometime again. If it just weren't so far away. I miss the citizens of Zwolle greatly already

This is the best food I have eaten in my life. Great service, lovely atmosphere and well chosen wines, but the perfection is in the food. We celebrated my birthday here with two vegetarian menu’s and were amazed. We loved the pumpkin that tasted like salmon, the magic of watermelon tartare and an amazing gado gado dessert. Magic!

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to De Librije Zwolle at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the De Librije Zwolle page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at De Librije Zwolle to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at De Librije Zwolle!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
