Service was great.
Food was delicious. I will definitely return in the future. The dim lighting is a nice vibe.

This is the type of place you want if you want the best food, drinks and service around. I'll be back for sure.

Everything was fabulous- service and food was excellent! Dan was our waiter- he was most attentive. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a spacious and beautifully decorated restaurant
This is a spacious and beautifully decorated restaurant with multiple floors for seating. The wine list has a nice selection of glasses and bottles. The dinner rolls have a light touch of honey and butter making them slightly sweet and holding a nice texture without making them soggy. The house salad comes with bacon on it which is a nice touch. They do not offer a vinaigrette dressing which is a bit surprising. The sea bass was prepared with a nice crunch on top and well cooked. The fried rice was mainstream. The steak (not pictured) was a nice size and cooked perfectly to the request. We were too full for dessert. The staff was very nice and all signed the birthday card.

We went with another coupon for dinner last night, the service was outstanding, the food on the other hand was not. I have had a better steak and sides at longhorn than the food I consumed last night. 4 of us left spending 1k and went to McDonald's to have a late night snack because we couldn't even finish our steaks or seafood due to how terrible it was. No flavor, ribeye wasn't even cooked to the point of the fat becoming chewable after asking for it to be cooked to the chefs preferred temperature. The sea scallops were tough and definitely didn't taste like diver scallops. The king crab on the seafood tower was so strong and fishy tasting I figured it was probably the last of the box and old. I will never go back here again. If you want a fabulous steak walk down the street to Ruth Chris. Best steaks I have had in the city.
Be the first to ReplyFor my last day in Pittsburgh I decided to walk around
For my last day in Pittsburgh I decided to walk around downtown and look for a joint I've never been to. I saw a piano player through the window and suspended my search immediately. To me, there's no better combination than food, drinks, and music. When said music is live, even better! I was greeted at the entrance by a very polite gentleman in a suit and I asked if the bar top was first come first serve. He said yes and showed me to an open seat. A bartender immediately greeted me with menus and I started with an old fashioned. While he was making that, another bartender walked up and asked me how I was and if I was being helped. I said all was well then I confirmed that the musician was in fact playing Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" on piano. We then had a brief conversation on how the 90s were the last great decade of music. When the bartender arrived with my delicious, superbly executed cocktail I decided to order the New York strip with fries. Look folks, I'm from Texas where steaks are a way of life. A place where we are taught how to grill before we are taught how to walk. That said, I'm convinced that Del Frisco and his staff have to be from the lone star state. The steak was perfectly cooked, the fries were outstanding, and the complimentary bread was incredible. In summary, if you ever find yourself downtown Pittsburgh, make the time to stop in for a bite and a beverage. You will not be disappointed. Cheers.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was a gem.
The food was fantastic. The waitress was informative, genuine and happy, had great conversation with her. The location itself is very classy. The price meets the quality of food. Best part for me and my wife was that on any steeler home game we could get lucky and be eaten with some Steelers.

Thanks to Michael, our server, I had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at Del Frisco's. This is definitely one of those treat yo self meals and we had such a tasty steak dinner for 2. We started off with the Valentine's Day cocktail, calamari, and the lobster bisque for appetizers. We loved every dish. I am also still craving for their bread that they offer every table. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a great red wine pairing with our aged steak. Of course, the steak was the main show and every bite was delicious as expected - we ordered a medium rare 30 day aged ribeye (the kitchen split our steak into 2 since we didn't think we would finish ours individually and we also ordered the crab meat on top of the steak). I got the fancier sounding mashed potatoes and they were delicious but I wish I got the whipped mash potatoes instead. These were a bit too chunky for my liking. Interior is also really cool, dark, but modern. We were seated by the window into the rest of the building on the 2nd floor and we really enjoyed our corner we were sat at. Overall, we left full and happy. Would love to come back!

Delfriscos has become one of my fave steakhouses in Pittsburgh. I love the mood as well as the music they always have playing. Haven't had a visit with poor service. Love the filet along with all the sides. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplyA friend and I came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening.
We made a reservation for right when they opened for the evening. Upon arrival, I was greeted and was told our table would be ready in a few minutes. I took this time to look around the place. It is surprisingly large for the space it is in downtown. I kind of gives a nightclub/steakhouse hybrid feel. Once seated, our waiter came over to introduce himself and tell us about the menu. From start to finish, our service was amazing. All of the staff at Del Frisco's were very kind and helpful. I ordered a glass of wine and my friend ordered a cocktail. They brought out bread before our meal. I've heard great things about the bread, but it was just okay (my opinion solely). For entrees, I ordered a filet, Oscar style and my friend ordered the chicken. Our food was amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I also ordered the butter cake for dessert and it was also so good. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience; I will definitely return.

I LOVE the food here and the waiters are always amazing! The only reason I can't give them a 5 star review is that I have come here easily 7/8 times for different events (birthdays, graduation, etc) in the last 6 months and every time we are never seated on time when we have a reservation. We check in and they make you wait in the crowded lobby for 20 minutes before they will seat you even with a reservation. Again- this has happened every time I have been here it's not a one time thing, and I would not mind at all but for the price I at least hope to be seated within 10 minutes of arriving when we have a reservation. Staff is friendly and food is amazing but every time without fail asked to wait in the small lobby before they actually seat you.

Del Frisco's is a newer restaurant to join the Pittsburgh steakhouse scene. Part of the Landry's brand, it lives up to the Landry's standards. Food & Drinks: The signature VIP beverage, pineapple-infused vodka was refreshing. Waygu meatballs were juicy and the sauce wasn't the typical marinara; crab cake was hot and fresh, great accompanying sauce; house salad had a creamy avocado ranch dressing, topped with two thick slices of bacon on top of fresh and nutrient greens. We ordered bone-in ribeye and New York strip--both cooked perfectly and not overly seasoned or salty. Mashed potatoes were fresh and delectable, and the broccolini was cooked al dente. All in all, a solid steakhouse. Service: Sheldon was our server. He is attentive and made excellent recommendations. He made the experience special. Ambiance: A mix of upscale industrial Pittsburgh. A nice change of place from the stuffy decor like Capital Grill or the "Cheesecake Factory" decor of Eddie Merlot. Glad to see something different.

Food was very good, party of 4, some entrees and sides came out hot, others did not. Service was good, but entrees took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, beverages ran out several times. The decor is great but the noise level was unbelievably loud. You had to raise your voice to nearly a shout to be heard. Until this is addressed we won't be back.

New favorite steakhouse in town! Here's my take on steakhouses: if I'm paying 5x+ the cost of ingredients, it all has to be cooked perfectly and the service has to be on point. it was and then some! The building is beautiful inside and is well decorated. There was a live musician playing on the bar that was piped throughout the restaurant He did an awesome job and it wasn't anything we expected on a Thursday night. It got off to a good start when my wife and I realized that our waiter was our favorite from the deshants restaurant group, Michael. They're very lucky to have gotten him!Went here before a pens game and it was very crowded on a Thursday night, but we were seated for our 5pm reservation immediately even though we were 15 minutes late (sorry!). We were dressed pretty casually (pens jersey and a hoodie), but no one said anything and we didn't feel out of place even though most of the tables were coming from work in suits/dresses.The bread service is a Japanese milk bread with honey and salt. It's SUPER fresh, airy and buttery - huge fan.We ordered:Wagyu beef meatballs: these were REALLY good quality meatballs with a small slice of Fresno chili on top which would be spicy for many, but we loved.Shrimp cocktail: colossal shrimp served chilled with cocktail sauce and a mustardy horseradish sauceSeared Chilean sea bass: perfectly cooked over a bed of crab fried riceFilet: cooked perfectly. "All the sauces" was a great additionWe skipped dessert. The server had multiple cocktail/wine recommendations, all of which were fantastic and paired great with our meals.Everything came out quickly (as requested) and we made it to the 7pm game with 15 minutes to spareSorry Hyde Park and Capital grille!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome first experience at Del Friscos.
Ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the sides of lobster mac and creamed spinach were excellent, but the service was best of all. Our server, Trey, was incredible and even hooked it up with some onion rings which weren't on the menu, but I had heard amazing things about and had to try. Overall: delicious food, nice ambiance, and superb service.
Be the first to ReplyFood was excellent.
Steaks were perfectly cooked how we asked. Service was also top notch. We had the surf and turf trio along with lobster Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and delicious.

We have eaten at Del Friscos in 5 other cities, so we were stoked that the Pittsburgh site has opened. The atmosphere is pretty cool--but I agree with some reviewers that the music was a little loud (not the vibe my in-laws would want). I assure you--there is NO DRESS CODE. Some of what we saw was gym attire or ripped jeans--disappointing. I am not a stuffed shirt--but for these prices--have some class. As for the food--WOW! The Caesar salads were delicious and a good size. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and buttery tender. The chateau potatoes were excellent and the strawberry hibiscus cheesecake was unique. The other downer was the time it took to get each course. For a place that employed that many people, they need to do a better job of running food. It took more than 20 minutes from the time we ordered the cheesecake until we got it at the table. It was so long the server apologized and told us it was complimentary even before we had to say anything. Hopefully, they are just working thru some kinks. All of that being said, I would go back tomorrow .
Be the first to ReplyI was there with a party of ten to celebrate a birthday.
The food was excellent, the servers were great and very attentive. Their upbeat attitudes and professionalism added to the festive atmosphere at our table. The only issue was the wait time for being served our food. Again, it was excellent, it wa prepared to our specifications and the correct temperature. The restaurant deducted from our bills to make up for this. Otherwise it was a great experience. I look forward to returning. I hope the wait wont be as long when I return.
Be the first to ReplyWe tried this out for the first time on Valentines Day.
Upon entering, we never realized how big of a space this is. There are multiple levels of seating along with a bar. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted and asked if we had a reservation. We were checked in immediately and taken to our table. Our server was very attentive to us throughout the meal as well. Being that it was our first time there, we didn't know what to order. We had seen a valentines dinner for two special, but we couldn't find it anywhere on the menu. We ended up finding something even better in my opinion. There was a dinner tasting for two that included two apps, four entrees, two sides and two desserts. What an excellent deal so we could try more of the food. Everything came out perfectly. One thing we noticed before going was it said upscale dress code strictly enforced on their website so, just to make sure, we dressed in button downs and dress pants. We don't mind because it is fun to get dressed up for a nice evening out. As we are dinner though, we noticed they really don't hold true to that because some people had ripped jeans and we saw one guy in a ball cap. Also the music selection was a little odd for Valentine's Day. As we were there it got louder, but the music was more rock and club vibe instead of something more subtle to set the ambiance for the evening. It definitely didn't ruin the evening, just something we noticed.
Be the first to ReplyThe service and ambience at Del Frisco's was very good.
They have an excellent wine selection. My steak was done to perfection. It's quite expensive for my pocketbook, but my dinner was worth it. I will just have to go here for only special occasions!
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal dinner.
Del Frisco's is a cut above all the other high end restaurants. From the lobster appetizer to the fresh oysters to the succulent and tender NY strip....everything was some of the best Ive ever had in my life. I had a NY strip and added scallops. My friends had the Chilean sea bass and surf and turf filet entree.Ty, the GM, was constantly ensuring a truly enjoyable experience. Our servers Cyrus and Alexa were also ever present and just plain awesome. Thank you so much for a great night out!
Be the first to ReplyDel Frisco's Soulless Steakhouse.
They will swoon you with their tasty warm bread, but quickly let you down with combative servers, inconsistent cuts of meat that are consistently over-cooked and a manager that is ready to try and bribe you for a good review. Take your business across the hall to Eddie V's.
