Really good Indian food
What a great place this is. First class Indian cuisine and a very affordable price. Had a wonderful dinner before a night at the theatre.
Be the first to ReplyTerrific Thali
Clean, modern looking. Friendly attentive service. Thali ordered: beef vindaloo, lamb madras & pumpkin masala. Rice, naan & mango pickle on platter. Completely delicious. Great cooking curries. Back soon with family.

I havent dined here since pre-covid. I returned with an Indian friend and the food is still excellent. We both had the Thali which is great value- 2 curries, rice, pappadam and naan. I had the meat Thali and my friend the vegetarian. I started with a mixed tandoori platter. Very enjoyable.

Excellent service , food and value. Came here to catch up with friends for lunch. Very busy, and tables close together made conversation difficult.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Authentic Indian Food with Fabulous Service
We wanted some authentic Indian food whilst staying in Melbourne and had read reviews on Delhi Streets. We decided to give it a try and to our delight, the food was sensational. We ordered Butter Chicken and a mixed grill - every mouthful was absolutely delicious. It appears to be a family run business - do yourself a favour and go here. You will be impressed with how good it is.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, well priced, good service, atmosphere +!
Was lucky enough to find this little way around the corner of my hotel-what a find! Staff are lively. Great atmosphere. V well priced., delicious food. V authentic. Ensure take away is an option. There is limited seating when busy!

Dined it at this cosy and colourful restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. The chaat platter lacked the authentic Delhi taste required to satisfy my soul and seemed to cater more for the non-Indian crowd. The chutney's overpowered the platter and drowned out the individual flavours of each item. The paneer pizza was a personal favourite of the evening. Found it to be a great spot for a one-time eat but wouldn't see myself returning anytime soon.

Hunting for food whilst traveling always turned to TripAdvisors. Got lucky as I was looking for some Indian food for lunch and came across Delhi Streets.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding food and service at a very reasonable price. Can’t wait to come back.
The restaurant was always good with a queue when I passed it by. I was lucky to get a seat on Thu before 9pm. Had a Special Thali (picked 3 curries with rice and naan) and a Bira white beer (I don’t even like beer but this was delicious and paired perfectly!) it was all very tasty and perfect for a winter night. Finished the meal with pistachio kulfi and couldn’t resist mango lassi to take away. I’ll definitely come back.

So good we went back again. Great taste, great value, great service. Authentic but basic with great food.
Be the first to ReplyVery Underwhelming
My wife and I have dined at Indian restaurants all over the world, and were looking forward to trying this one after reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Quite honestly, I’m not really sure what the hype is about. With one exception (the superb naan), absolutely nothing stood out. My goat thali was good but nothing very special. My wife, who is gluten free, ordered the 2 dish curry, which ordinarily comes with naan and poppadom. The kitchen simply left off the naan with no substitution, leaving her with one very small poppadom. Her lamb was decent, but the 2nd curry, a vegetarian chickpea dish, was simply poorly spiced. I believe someone forgot to add the curry. There was a TINY dab of mixed pickle on each of our plates. We both left a bit hungry. Between the variable quality of the food itself and the small dish sizes, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I stumbled upon this little place and loved the buzz of it, food looked good so I decided to give it a try. I was lucky to get a spot by the window because the place is fairly small and filled up while I was there. I loved the thali option and thoroughly enjoyed my two curries with rice and naan as well as a papadum and some yummy pickle on the side. Such great value for delicious food!

I can sniff out a good curry house from 100 metres away, and, my nose was accurate as usual. The staff are warm and Gracious, prompt service, A broad menu and extras. The hardest decision was what to eat, it is all good, just the right amount of spices, not to chilli 🌶 hot. No need for the quick eze after😂😂I will be back there next month, Thank you very much. SB🙋😘

Wow, amazing service, busy restaurant even during covid times probably best to book. Our waiter helped us choose an assortment of dishes and they were all absolutely fantastic 10/10
Be the first to ReplyAwesome food, just down the laneway
Found this gem on Trip Advisor. Food and service was awesome, so good we went back the following night for another feed. Good selection of dishes that wont dissapoint
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious
Absolutely delicious street snacks, more Mumbai than Delhi but never mind...a small place with the cooking visible and organised friendly staff. BhelpuRi was perfect and not over sauced, pani puri a delight, samosa chat delicious. Servings and generous, flavours integrated. Main of Channa Batura was exceptional all washed down with a (hard to find) Lowenbrau.

This is a tiny low key curry restaurant with packed tables, a quick turnaround and a tight menu. Predominantly thalis which contained little meat but were tasty and excellent value as they came with popadum, rice and roti. A good pit stop for a quick dinner and the paneer wrap would be excellent for lunch.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food bursting with flavour!
After reading some reviews, we decided to give this place and try, and we were not dissapointed. In fact we went back twice it was so good during our stay in Melbourne. The restaurant is small, so reservations are a great idea and easy to do online. The food variety is excellent, and the service is quick and friendly, with large portions of incredible food, all for a fair price. If you enjoy Indian food this place is a must visit during your time in Melbourne. Simply excellent.

Food was excellent but you can only stay for an hour, great value. Very small restaurant and you have to book for a table.

Delicious Food.
I found the food to not be too spicy. It had great flavours.
Meal serves were very substantial.
Best to make a booking as I saw lots of people miss out as they were booked out.
