Denny's 4355 Sonoma Blvd Vallejo, CA 94589 United States Vallejo Reviews from The Last Year
This was a hard one.
I'm out here on vacation visiting my sister. While driving we decided to stop and eat and charge up. We stopped at Denny's and were greeted by Maria, a Hispanic woman who was wonderful and honestly amazing. While sitting enjoying our food we had another server named Heather, a trans woman, come up to us and told us to unplug our phones from the booths we were sitting in as paying customers. The other servers told her to stop and asked us to ignore her but she wouldn't stop. She is a mean and spiteful person and made my sister cry. I think she assumed we were homeless or something even though we were just eating and charging phones and an iPad for my nephew. Thank you to Maria and all the other staff for being amazing, Heather is a terrible person and a disgrace to the LGBTQ movement. Her discrimination was very surprising and unprovoked. By the end, Maria texted her manager and came to us to apologize on Heather's behalf, which shows she had no remorse in her actions. It's amazing how one person can negatively affect an entire dining experience. Although Maria and the other staff were great, I would not recommend coming here with Heather still on payroll until she learns to keep her personal problems, and prejudices at home.

This evening I had the absolute worst dining experience of my life. I left embarrassed and in tears as Heather harassed my family and I and made us feel un welcome throughout our entire stay. Around 1800 hours my brother, son and I entered the Denny's establishment on Sonoma. My brother entered first and asked if they minded that we charge a few items while we ate. Maria A, our server (who was an absolute angel btw) gave us the green light and we sat down, plugged in and ordered our meal. While my brother was outside and my son and I were waiting for the food to arrive, Heather, a trans woman working at the Denny's, demanded from behind the counter that I unplug because her manager said so. I was at the least confused and tried to explain that we already had permission from our server but Heather wouldn't listen. Maria returned with our drinks, apologized for the confusion and allowed us to continue to dine and keep charging. At the end of our meal, and after a beautiful service experience from Maria, we paid for our meal, tipped our waitress and I waited as my brother took my son to the restroom. When I was alone at the table, Heather returned and after misgendering me, calling me 'sir', demanded that I unplug my devices claiming that her manager said the computers would overload. I asked to speak with the manager, to which Heather refused. My brother came back tried to reason with her but Heather was not moved. Although Maria was amazing and apologized a 3rd time for Heather's behavior on behalf of the entire restaurant, Heather never did. Her unapologetic and unprofessional bigotry toward my black family is entirely unacceptable. There was nothing that warranted such treatment and disrespect. I will never come back as long as Dennys employs intolerant and exclusionary individuals.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
