We've been to this location when it's been a few other restaurants and none of them were solid enough to stick around. This might have a chance because it's not really going for a traditional "restaurant" vibe but more of a cocktail joint that serves food til 10 and turns into a club at that point. Our waitress was really attentive and she mentioned she's new, so if you find your waitress has to double check on a few details...be patient! We ordered our paper planes off menu (the cocktail choices looked a little on the sweet side) and they were stellar. We then ordered the Mezza Platter, meatballs, and shrimp cocktail and the platter and meatballs were honestly fantastic and having lived overseas with real Mediterranean food, my husband is kinda picky on his hummus! We did also order a round of the margaritas on draft and as long as you're prepared for tamarind and mezcal, which we love, it's a really solid draft cocktail. I'd definitely say we'll be back with a small group to catch the later-night vibe on a weekend!

For a spot that gives off "club vibes", we were pleasantly impressed by the intimate environment with some tasty menu items that hit the spot. A pleasant surprise to learn about the Saturday Happy Hour too! 50% bottle of wine and $2 East Coast oysters. Would definitely order the whipped feta as a starter and the lamb lollipops. Great juiciness, textures, and use of herbs and garnishes. The lamb lollipops were served with a salsa verde, but honestly, the lamb was so well cooked you really don't need sauce. The falafel was served with a muhammara and YUM. For a table of two, I'd suggest serving 4 lollipops. I understand the "odd number" rule, but it was kind of hard to share the third lollipop between two, when the lollipops are small to begin with. Not quite sure why female servers seem to have a mandatory dress code of short and tight black dresses (reminds me of Posh Spice lol)...In fact, it felt awkward watching the majority of them uncomfortably bend down with their heels to serve us our meals and simply pour water in our glasses. Part of me felt bad and it did mix with the impression of our visit. We do look forward to visiting again, trying some of the larger entrees, maybe this time sitting at the bar.

The Food is fantastic!! The dip sampler platter is perfect for a large group to share. This venue has a chill/bohemian vibe. I would definitely come back for apps and cocktails.

So I just went to this spot for the first time Thursday 6/27/24. The vibe was amazing it was beautifully decorated mediterranean theme. I enjoyed the atmosphere and waitresses that served us. The music was ok I think they could have done better. Now the food and drinks.......HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. For the amount of money they charge for food and drinks you thought you were getting Michelin star food but it was giving drive-through at Burger King. The drink was water down and barely had alcohol in it like I couldn't taste any alcohol in my drink. It was definitely a one time experience for me. I went so you didn't have to!!

The aesthetic of the bar is sexy! The black with red lights and the unique art makes the place a different one! On Thursdays, it's RnB night which starts at 8PM, the DJ bumps! I would check it out, it is fun! Also a good date spot!
We went for drinks and small bites while on a bachelorette.
I would definitely recommend for a more chill vibe. The drinks were all really good and the small bites we got were also yummy. We went on a Thursday and it was half off espresso martinis!! The staff was all nice.

Manager kicked us out for not obeying his commands within 10 seconds and was not interested to hear any reasoning / gain new information to make any further considerations. Confiscated the vodka sprite that I payed for. Be sure to kiss their feet otherwise you're getting booted.

They are extremely over capacity, and the manager was the most disrespectful person I have ever met. I will never return, and for other people's safety, I would hope they won't go either. There was at least 3 times the approved capacity, and we were being shoved and elbowed. The drinks were over priced, and my whole drink was spilled because there was too many people. The manager was trying to fit everyone that didn't pay for an over priced table into one room (where there wasn't nearly enough room), and if they didn't comply he kicked them out. There was a cover fee, and he didn't refund anyone even though their negligence caused the crowded and dangerous environment.
Expensive place for appetizers with alcohol.
The portions are not big enough to be considered entrรฉes. I guess it tasted okay. Honestly, there wasn't enough of the food to even get a sense of how good it tasted. On the plus side, the atmosphere is nice, and the servers were generally friendly. It could be a good setting for a romantic date if you want something light to eat, but I think there are better options. I'm generally a light eater, but I spent $140 on a meal for two and came home and ate more because I was still hungry. I honestly can't recommend it.

I came for r&b nights which are on Thursdays and it was such a vibe. The dj was amazing and actually knew how to mix. The espresso martinis are the way to go.
When the time we had.
We did not proactively make reservations, but this is definitely encouraged. We also got there right at 10 PM which is when they stop serving food. I was really looking forward to some Mediterranean food and some yummy hummus and that pita bread. Neither the less the drinks were quite amazingand the birthday guy had an amazing time.
I'm not sure why this place isn't 5 star all around.
The chicken was literally the best chicken I've ever had. The lamb lollipops were outstanding - drinks and service were fantastic. Highly recommend. Ambiance was amazing!
I was looking for a fun and new place to host my birthday
I was looking for a fun and new place to host my birthday dinner so I asked my friends for places they knew of, as I was bored with rotating through the same few places in Austin. The vibe I was going for was sexy - dim lighting, good drinks and good music. One of them actually found Devil May Care on Snapchat maps of all places, and I am SO happy he did! After scoping out the Instagram, I had been in contact with Perla to book my reservation for the Saturday of my birthday weekend. She was so incredibly helpful in coordinating my larger party, plus a surprise visit from my sister who lives out of town. My friend and I went on the Tuesday before the resi for happy hour to see if this is what I was looking for, and I cannot speak highly enough about it. We split the hummus as an appetizer, each of us got the burger special and we tried a few drinks. Every single thing we ordered was incredible, and the ambiance was exactly what I had in mind. On Saturday, I showed up with a party of 13. We were all accommodated for and all of my friends raved about how excited they were to have found a fabulous place in Austin that we would definitely be adding to our list of favorites. Our server was Hailey H and she was phenomenal! What a hidden gem! I live downtown and have probably walked past Devil May Care 100 times when going out on West. Let me just say I will never walk past again without stopping in for a Hellfire! Thank you Devil May Care for helping me celebrate my birthday, I can't wait to come back!

Walked about two miles checking out places to visit in Austin and finally found this welcoming gem. Sat at the bar and had the fortune to have Chris as our bartender. He was super helpful, great to chat with, and made awesome cocktails. If you find yourself in the area definitely recommend coming in and asking for Chris!
We came here and got the whole chicken and related sides.
The atmosphere is fantastic, the location is also perfect, and the food was spectacular. I would highly recommend this place.
Good place to start the night.
It was pretty crowded though and the music wasn't that great so we couldn't really dance. We found a table towards the end but the majority are reserved and we ended up being asked to move bc the table was only for bottle service. I feel like this would be a good place to start the night but not stay for super long
Good food, the decor was great.
Had appetizers only but the drinks were really good. Vibrant and youthful spot. Speakeasy feel, make reservations because seating goes fast.
The food was good and the service was great.
Great ambience jazz night is on Wednesdays and the vibe of the place is great. 10/10 recommend

This is a cute speakeasy style cocktail lounge that has great bottle service, a dark and mysterious atmosphere, and you are likely to run into an old flame if you're an Austin local a great place to see and be seen. Love the bathroom wallpaper and the decor of the whole place.

We celebrated my boyfriends birthday and had such a great time! Wonderful food, cocktails, service, music and ambience. We stayed after dinner for the fun bar area. Highly recommend this place! Thank you to the manager who handled our keys when we stayed past the valet time. We will be back!
Such a cool place.
You go down the stairs to an intimate setting with different rooms that have a bar and DJ set in the center. I loved the furniture and the little nooks that you can hide away in...hence the speakeasy vibe. They have different music genres playing on some nights and the crowd is pretty diverse. The drinks are good and the cost is what to be expected for a place like this in downtown Austin. It is perfect for a date night, a birthday event, or just hanging out with friends.
This is a cute bar - we went when it was extremely crowded
This is a cute bar - we went when it was extremely crowded and had to snake out way through the crowd but were somehow still able to find seats and chill for a bit. If you could call it that - we were right next to the DJ. There's a small upstairs patio area that was a nice change of pace. Would go back on a less crowded night for sure.
Excellent service! Our waitress was more than attentive.
Drinks were on par and food was pretty darn good too. Definitely worth a visit.
The ambiance was cool, but the service was atrocious.
V inattentive. Specifically, we ordered the tomahawk steak (most expensive item on the menu) in addition to another round of drinks and within 10 min of the steak being served we were given a "15 min warning" about our table being given up for the next reservation. Felt it was very unprofessional given the steak was late and we were continuing to order items. Seems like poor management given the general lack of attentiveness from the wait staff as a whole.
Outrageous prices okay atmosphere.
Food was fine. Ordered a basic martini so awful had to send back. Ordered Grey Goose on ice instead and they charged extra 2 bucks for a large square ice cube - seriously? So many upscale places nicer than this i. Austin! Also charged $20 to reserve. Never again! Roosevelt Room, midnight Cowboy or so many hotel bars with incredible city views way out do this place!

I saved this spot in my list because I know they'll have live Jazz every Wednesday night. Today I celebrated my graduation with my friend here, and their food items were AMAZING! Pricey, yes, but the flavor and the texture were really delicate! I enjoyed every dish we ordered, from the little gem, which was lettuce wrap with grilled beets and some legumes. The oysters were tasty. I love their devil eggs with fish roe on top, the lamb panini was also pretty flavorful especially with the spicy chili oil dipping. Brussel sprouts with aioli could never go wrong. The tuna tartare was also really good. Cocktails were also delicious, I really liked their chai espresso martini. When they knew I was there to celebrate my graduation, they even offered me free shots and a free dessert. How sweet! The jazz started around 7:30pm but the music before that was also relaxing. I like this place. Just wish they have happy hour which could bring the price down a little bit
