Burger was delivered and the patty was burned not just charred. Broken into multiple pieces rather than one patty. Paid for extra ranch and none was included. When we called they said it wasn't their issue.
Be the first to ReplyThe burger itself was good but nothing special to me.
The service was pretty quick and accommodating. The ambiance was moderately busy - nothing crazy but it can get busier for sure so you might want to make a reso for a bigger party

Idk the burger was good but if you pay extra for add one it's a waste of money because they don't add them in.
Be the first to ReplyBurgers and Drinks are very good, but very expensive.
Two burgers to go was $34. No fries. That's just way too much.
Be the first to ReplyI had very high expectations coming into this place
I had very high expectations coming into this place considering Guy Fieri hyped this place up. They also have a wide variety of burgers and combinations that you're bound to find something that piques your interest. My experience however was slightly mediocre. I feel like there wasn't much to their burger to justify the price premium and it's definitely levels below other burgers I've tasted for a similar price point. We also got the Wisconsin Cheddar fries and oddly enough it was just too cheesy? It's almost as if the cheese tasted artificial here. Overall the service is great but I think you could get a better deal at a fast food burger place.

Starting with the best part of my meal at DMK: the sweet potato fries!! DMK has some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever tried at a restaurant. On the outside, nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy. On the inside, so so fluffy. On the whole, divine!I wasn't as keen on the patty melt that I ordered. The portion was massive, which was great, but I thought the classic burger + bacon flavors meshed in an odd way with the rye bread. At some point I remember scraping out the meats, eating it as a grilled cheese, and thinking that I preferred it that way. If I were to come back to DMK, I'd probably opt for their more traditional burgers or slice the patty melt in two, pre-designating half as the next day's lunch.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time, I came all the way from New York & I'll definitely be back whenever i come to the Chicago area. Service was great & the atmosphere was amazing as well! Good vibes!

Great service & conversation! I'm sure if it was later the bartender probably wouldn't have been able to chat as long with me. The Ace pear beer on tap was delicious! The fries & burger were pretty fantastic as well! I have to stop back here and try the Ace guava beer!
Be the first to ReplyRATING: 8/10Another solid burger place in Chicago.
Came here upon Guy Fieri's recommendation, and had to try the famous Bison Burger. This is definitely an incredibly rich burger with the goat cheese and bison so definitely keep that in mind. I personally really enjoyed the burger because of the unique pairing of flavors. The creaminess of the goat cheese, the gamey bison flavor, the sweet blueberry sauce, and the acidic pickled onions made for a unconventional taste which I found incredibly interesting. The bun was also very unexpected since it's wide and hollow/pillowy yet flat. And for the unexpected highlight of the meal....the fries. These fries aren't your Mcdonald's fries or soggy bland diner fries. The sweet potato fries have a light crispy coating and a heavenly hot and soft inside. Absolutely perfect! It came with a lemon aioli which was also pretty damn delicious. The hot crispy fries made for the perfect complement to the burger and cut through the richness. Come here if you wanna try some pretty wacky and unique burgers. My friend got a burger sandwiched between rye bread which we had never seen before. But absolutely ABSOLUTELY do NOT miss out on the sweet potato fries!
Be the first to ReplyI've been here twice and I have to say it's pretty average.
The service is hit or miss- the most recent time I went, our server was hard to track down and I had to flag someone else down for small things like water refills. The burgers are on the saltier side but the fries were under seasoned. Also tried their chicken wings- think they brought the wrong flavor out but I didn't notice until half way. They have a vast brewery selection so it might be better for that but there are definitely better burger spots in the area.
Be the first to ReplyBest burger ever!!!! Gotta try the chicken one it's so bomb.
When you order fries expect CUMIN. VERY FLAVOR VERY FUN. Good vibes.
Be the first to ReplyUgh, so disappointing.
I saw the reviews were mostly positive, so I convinced my bf we'd order from here- he wanted to order elsewhere for a burger, but I wanted a chicken sandwich. The menu looked promising with many options and combinations. The food arrived within the timeframe it said it would, but everything was cold and soggy!! Fries, chicken wings.. sandwiches were wet and mushy.. The restaurant is only 2.4 miles from me, and it wasn't cold outside, so my guess is the restaurant made the food too early and had it sit long. Either way, the flavors were not good enough to help the situation either! (I reheated everything). The only saving grace was the salad.

DMK has pretty great flavor/topping options for their burgers, and you can't beat the location!!As you can see in the photos, I thought their presentation left a lot to be desired. The beef patties look really tiny compared to the bun which didn't have much flavor, which left the texture and flavor ratio off, as well. I thought the toppings of the guacamole/chorizo burger and bison burger were amazing, but the burgers (meat) themselves were just meh. It's hard to have a great burger without the base holding it together, and I think there are quite a few better options in the area in that regard! Others have a better basic burger, but DMK wins on flavor if that's what you are looking for! Personally don't think I'd return, but I understand why they have their niche. Fries were solid, and the ordering online process was very smooth!

they make delivery drivers come through the alley a la servants entrance style. OH but their normal bougie customers can pickup their food through the front door. they urge DO NOT COME THROUGH FRONT DOOR im guessing so we don't ruin their wannabe classy aesthetic. feels really demeaning, especially for some overpriced burgers.

This used to be our #1 go - to, best burger in the world, tell everyone to go there place.Sadly, they have fallen from grace.Tonight, we ordered burgers for our son's birthday and they all came back burned. It was carry out; I could have called, driven back, etc. That was not going to happen. I guess that's on me - not giving them a chance to "make it right."Well, get out right the first time, please. The salt and pepper fries and the sweet potato fries were excellent as always. The servers were nice and our order was placed correctly. If you watch cooking competitions, though, you know that the protein doneness is the make or break factor. And burned, dry burgers at $14-15 each doesn't cut it.
Be the first to ReplyHaven't been back in years and it was nice to enjoy a dine
Haven't been back in years and it was nice to enjoy a dine in experience here. They seat patrons nicely spaced apart though it was helpful that it wasn't too crowded. We ordered a variety of food including wings, fries, onion strings, and burger - unfortunately everthing came out at once and some of our food got cold :( ย wish they would have staggered the appetizer to come out first. In terms of food quality the wings with chipotle bbq sauce was fantastic - $10 for 6 wings was a tad pricey but the wings were meaty so worth it for me. ย The onion strings were thinly sliced, lightly coated with a flavorful batter, and well seasoned making it stand out from your traditional rings from other burger joints. The burgers we got were a mixed bag though the buns were incredibly soft and tasty. The fries here are A+ especially if you enjoy them a little bit crisper. The bison burger sounded interesting but there were too many strong flavors going on and fighting against each other- goat cheese, sharp pickled onions, and the flavor of the bison itself. It just didn't go with each other and the blueberry bbq sauce actually got muted out. Also tried the rambler burger which was much tastier and better balanced in terms of flavor. Overall decent burgers tho price is definitely a tad higher making us think twice before coming anytime soon. Service here also wasn't great - waitresses were busier chatting with each other than attending to filling my water or dealing with my check. Our waitress looked on the younger side and probably was just inexperienced- in the age of covid I'm setting my standards low for good service because I know it's a struggle for restaurants right now.

This was my first time at DMK Burger Bar and was very impressed. My boyfriend and I were craving a good quality burger, and decided to give this place a try as we were in the area. Upon arrival (night before Thanksgiving) we were seated immediately. This place is a family friendly establishment with a decent size bar with rotating draft beers and cocktails. In regards to the food... wow. We were looking for a fresh burger, and that is exactly what we got. DMK has the finest quality meat, with their logo being "100% Grass-Fed Beef". We both got the classic (#1), which was very tasty. Prices were a little high, keeping this place from a 5-star rating. I believe we ended up paying close to $15 for one burger, not including fries, which if you find yourself at DMK, you have to get. Not only was the burger very flavorful, the fries were out of this world. We got the salt & pepper fries and yummy! I look forward to going back and trying some of the other and more unique menu items. Overall, great place for a quality meal. Expect to pay a little bit more than a local pub, but well worth it. Also worth noting was the phenomenal waiter we had. Unfortunately I do not recall his name, but he was the only server that night on a decently busy evening, yet he was very attentive, friendly, and maintained a very calm demeanor. ย Great service!

Be the first to ReplyEasily one of the greatest burgers in Chicago.
Also their milkshakes are UNREAL DELICIOUS!! Drooling just thinking about DMK.

Delicious burger! Taking away one star since when I received my order the burger was soggy.
Be the first to ReplyWas touring Chicago with hubby & came to have lunch here
Was touring Chicago with hubby & came to have lunch here after Navy Pier based on recommendations. Now the food is tasty, but def not worth $14-$16 just for a burger. They seem to be your average 'trendy, hip' place. The combination of sauce & toppings they put on their specialty burgers & fries (extra/seperate charge) is definitely different and worth an experience, but be prepared for only 1 server, low lit dining area and difficult parking (street parking only and permit required from 6pm to 6am).Our bison burgers were tasty and not greasy at all. However, that is to be expected with bison meat as opposed to ground beef. Our fries were cooked well and not too crispy nor soggy. The wing appetizers we ordered were very small. Like, 2 bites max small. Was expecting more meat for the price.Again, worth the experience to try something different, but frustrating when you need to find parking or trying to read the menu.
