I placed a to-go order of Pho in the restaurant.
First, it was $13.95 in the restaurant vs $11.95 on their website. They said it they need to update the website but looking at pictures of menus it's been this price for at least 6 months. Get to it already. The order took forever. Pho is usually very quick. The place wasn't all that busy either. I asked the waiter and he said it will be some more time. I waited like 10 more minutes after (probably 25 minutes total) before it came out and then they told me that it had been ready for 10 minutes and they just forgot to bring it up. The order was for a family member so I can't comment on the taste but I did note that the portion of meat looked small and while I ordered two meats, it looked like only one.

Very consistent with food quality, quick service, friendly staff. Crispy eggrolls are very good here. The broth in their soup is pretty good and they typically provide you with a complementary appetizer. Very good lunch specials for around $13. Must try!

We are new to Fairfax City (although have lived in Northern VA for the past 20 years). My wife and I recently stopped by and had the lunch combo which is actually a very reasonable price price (Appetizer, entree, and soft drink for $13). We consider ourselves Vietnamese food aficionados (we even went to Vietnam last summer). Bottom line, the pho tasted like it was instant noodle pho (lacked depth and flavor) and the rest of the dishes were simply average. We were so disappointed as we were hoping this would be our go to location for Vietnamese food since it's within walking distance of our house. I recommend you pass on this as there are so many better places within a 3-4 min drive.

I ate here before and remembered it was decent so I decided to give it another try. It was so bad. Their Bun Bo Hue is basically pho with some spicy oil and fried shallots! My husband had pho and it was not good as well. Definitely the worst we have in DMV area. I dont know if they change the owner or something unfortunately. The service was good (restaurant was almost empty); they gave crispy chips, which was the only bonus of our meal.

We ordered around 6:10 and there was only one other occupied table. By the time we got our order (or at least most of it) it was over an hour later, and in the interim three tables had come, eaten, and left. The last item to come was a Vietnamese chicken crepe appetizer, which for some reason took an hour to prepare. And it was not worth the wait. Seriously, folks, do not order this appetizer: it is a frittata filled with limp bean sprouts, mostly raw onions, and two wafer thin pieces of chicken. The rest of the meal was a mixed bag. The pho my son had was good, even if he was never given a spoon to eat it, but the beef with vermicelli that I had was cold, the beef was tough and tasted preserved, and the majority of the dish was bean sprouts. My husband had a vegetarian dish with enormous pieces of undercooked vegetables, while his mother had a seafood hot pot that she enjoyed even though she had large pieces of inedible squid. The quail appetizer was tasty, but the bubble tea my daughter ordered took an hour to come for no reason. Surprisingly, the place was well filled when we left and at least five people picked up take out orders. Considering the closest place to park was 2 blocks away, I imagine the take out orders were as cold as my beef vermicelli.

Service was quick, and the restaurant is pretty hidden and quiet. I got the crispy noodle stir fried, which had a really nice variety of vegetables and yummy sauce. My friends also liked their pho and clay pot rice. The restaurant is also sorta dark and nicer than expected.
Be the first to ReplyHands down the best spicy hue soup in all of northern VA!
Hands down the best spicy hue soup in all of northern VA! Excellent chicken and meatball pho too. I love starting the experience with complimentary shrimp chips and chili oil. Then an excellent bowl of hot soup (hue or pho). The service is fast and pleasant and they remember their regulars which adds a layer of pleasantry for me when I go :) they even remember our order! I highly recommend trying this spot.

No, not the owner of this place but I tend to go here a lot because the food is very good and consistent. Ordered what I typically order but was tempted to go with the clay pot. Next time! Try this place, it's not very busy most times and service is very good too.

Not sure how/why this restaurant rates so highly?!?? Food was decent but overall unremarkable. None of us walked away overly impressed. The actual facilities are horribly dated and in need of a major overhaul. I went to the back of the restaurant to use the bathroom and it looks to be in shambles. No hot water to wash my hands and very dirty.

This place has a great lunch special: pho, appetizer, and soft drink for $13.95! Good service and in a cute area - on Fairfax Main Street. Luckily found parking right outside at noon on a Friday
