Elia vs. Milos? Elia wins in first round knockout
I just ate at both of these restaurants in past 30 days. It isn't close. Don't waste your time contending with Strip traffic and walking miles through a smoky casino and pay $40 for valet before you sit down at your table at Milos. Elia is staffed by former cooks and staff from Milos and they figured out how to serve food that is of equal or better quality that that overpriced corporate themed location at the Venetian. Perfect example is the Milos horiotiki/village salad. Almost 50% more expensive at Milos and its served with two, yes, only 2 Kalamata olives and two paper thin triangles of feta cheese. No such ingredient cheapness at Elia. The fresh fish? Almost 100% more for the same sized levraki/bass at Milos. The difference? The Elia version was more moist, better seasoned and had a small vegetable side on the plate. Similar comparisons for every dish can be made. The service? Elia by a mile. Their staff is friendly , knowledgeable and enjoy taking care of you. Milos has wait staff that just came form some other Strip restaurant who will be gone serving tourists elsewhere if you ever returned there. Bottom line, if you're staying at the Venetian, enjoy Milos. Everyone else should enjoy authentic high quality Greek kouzina at Elia.
Be the first to Replywell worth the drive off the strip for excellent authentic Greek food
very very accomodating, we were in a bit of rush because we had show tickets, but they seated us and served very fast. The food is excellent. after trying to have greek food at the resort we were at and turned away without a reservation twice, or told we had to eat at the bar, or at 10pm, we decided to head out to Elia's taverna. The wine list is extensive and fairly priced. The food is excellent and authentic !. If you are stuck at a hotel and don't want to pay resort fees for overpriced food. call an uber and head over to Elia's you will be glad you did !
Be the first to ReplyNot as good as on first visit
This was our second visit to this popular and fairly upscale Greek restaurant and our experience was not nearly as good as the first. We shared an order of horta that was proved to be at least as good as remembered. For entrees we each choose the lamb souvlaki entree that included tzatziki sauce, pita, fried potatoes, ladolemono, tomato and pickled red onion. Though the lamb was ordered medium rare, it was overcooked and tough while our server proved to be less than attentive. On the plus side, the fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned, crisp and delicious so little, actually none, was left on the plate. A return visit is up for debate.

Great authentic Greek food, very fresh. Delicious menu away from the strip in Summerlin. The service is amazing & fun atmosphere.

Itโs our favorite go-to restaurant. Simple foods, simple menu. Always fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly service. Like a Milos, but a casual version. A+ for value.

All I can say is that this is the best Greek food we have ever had anywhere.
Everything was delicious and fresh. Loved the saganaki, the salad, meatballs, roast feta. Galaktoboureko was amazing.
Service was top notch. Cant wait to return.
Fun birthday dinner
My friendโs birthday was wonderful. We had lovely & fun time. The food was delicious & the service was great. The staff took care of all our needs & made it the evening very special.

We stayed next door at the Best Western and saw this place and thought why not.
I went in to the restaurant after we checked in to our room to inquire about the menu as my wife has some food allergies. The hostess was incredibly kind and between her and a server broke down many choices.
The food was absolutely fantastic! I had a bone in rib-eye and my wife had more traditional Greek fare.
The steak was exquisitely done and required no additional seasoning whatsoever; I havenโt had a steak that good in years.
The lemon potatoes were good too. A little to strong in the lemon flavor but I am sensitive to the flavor.
The service was excellent as well. We felt well attended to and the server engaged us in light conversation.
Upon our exit, the hostess was waiting at the door to escort us out with a friendly thank you.
I definitely recommend!!
Gorgeous New Space
My friends and I have been going here for years, although only carrying out during the pandemic. Wonderful to see genial host Alex in a beautiful new space, if not as cozy as the smallish former one with outside restroom, that was still very popular. Now you can chill at the bar and have a solo gyros plate, or wait for the rest of your party to arrive. This wonderful authentic Greek food, and as Alex patiently explained, true gyros are pork, not lamb. It was his personal touch that kept me coming back, although this may be the best Greek food in Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyWe were very disappointed.
The food was only so-so and Dimitri, The Greek, said it was not authentic, not even the potatoes. The spanakopita was like mush--not at all flaky. Too bad.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing with below average service
Is it unreasonable to expect a properly chilled white wine to be served before your appetizers arrive ?..Our waiter recommend a Greek wine..after two of the three apps arrived, the wine was opened and offer to taste...it was room temperature..it was taken to the "BACK" to be chilled..the third app was served ..still no wine..called for the owner..he offered no assurances..finally the same bottle was placed in a side wine bucket...a distance away from the table..it was slightly chilled but not enough to pour....the fired zucchini and greek salad was good..the octopus overpriced...the main course was served by the bus boy not the waiter, he did not know which patron ordered which dish ...they try to get MILOS concept...they know the concept...but don't execute the concept except for the pricing....the owner was aloof and not concerned that this waiter was extremely unaware of priorities ..it is a shame..they could have better results
Be the first to ReplyGreat Greek restaurant find in Las Vegas
We stopped for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. We ordered olives with Feta, yum. Gigantic beans, also excellent. Then we each got a skewer I had lamb and my husband had pork souvlaki, the tzatzika was great. The pita bread was fresh and tasted great. I would highly recommend this little gem away from the strip.
Be the first to Replyreviewed in the NEW location as of Sep 17th. not the best.
We have been to the old location on Durango. Early on this was the spot to go for
Greek families and now is more for upscale yuppy . Gone are the white table cloths, and there is no attempt at a Greek decore other than having the building next door painted blue and white. Service was friendly and hash house speed....were they looking for fast turnovers. We were a party of two and booked a day ahead. The place was PACKED....mostly friends of Alex who he made a point to greet and kiss (COVID anyone?). We were not on that list, and ignored by all except our servers. Who cares. From sit down to the ten minute mark we had received our hello, our menu, our wine/cocktail/ and the four apps we ordered. We wanted a tapas meal leisurely served. We were told all items like that had to be delivered. I guess I did not see Sisolak pass that law. So, we had a table overflowing with items. They did bring our shared souvlaki later. And, when we ordered our baklava we had a n 18 minute wait.
The Spanakopita is $12. you get a massive spinach pie which is very unappealing to look at, and even worse to eat. They did take that off our bill.
the Greek meat balls (mystery meat is something you get in bulk at Smiths) was $10. Well, it came out steaming but cooled rapidly as we tried to gup down all of our apps as soon as possible. The Scallops were not as pictured....looked like poached quarter inch slices of the scallop in a green sauce. at $16. it was our favorite, but only by default. We did have the Souvlaki...pork was suggested and it was dry but could go down with a heaping helping of the white sauce. The French Fried potatoes with this were really good.. this dish was $15. We ordered the baklava and waited a long time for a massive four inch square which was made (and my wife makes a great baklava) cheaply and needed way more layers of filo dough.
HINT....the patio is really nice and much quieter. Make your reservation for the patio til November, but they may have winter heaters....they were not there yet. In doors looks like an old 1995 restaurant.....no attempt at Greek decore. But is clean and NOISY (that is not the fault of Elia.) .
$110.00 for not much.
Friendly staff
Thought it was a bit overpriced ($20 for a greek salad), but it is Vegas. The wait staff was friendly and the food was a mixed bag. The salmon was good. The seabass was great. if I return, I will possibly go for lunch and maybe get something that is more traditional in my mind.
