I 100% recommend this hotel, but 110% recommend AGAINST eating here. You couldn't have found two happier, more patient, and more carefree people on the planet. We were so relaxed and excited about the meal, nothing could phase use. However, somehow this restaurant really chipped away at us and destroyed the experience. -- Seated 35 minutes late. -- Extremely small portions. We understand fine dining (small portions, high prices etc), but this was insane. 5 of the 6 courses were actually only 1 bite each. We couldn't even let each other try a bite. -- 3.5 hours at the restaurant. Are you kidding? 3.5 hours for, no exaggeration, about 8-10 small bites of food. -- The wait between each course was really rough. We had plenty to talk and laugh about, reminiscing on our first year of marriage, but we eventually ran out of things to say. Inevitably, between each course, we would end up looking around, commenting on how empty the restaurant was, and wondering how/why they could be so slow. These "wonderings" gradually turned comical, and eventually to hunger-derived anger. -- $400 for a few bites of food? Really? This didn't even include our wine! -- After all this, the restaurant still had the nerve to charge us a $60 service fee, in lieu of tipping. $60 for what? A horrible wait and ruined evening?I've never complained to wait staff. Ever. I always assume they're doing their best. This is the first time in my life that I actually couldn't contain my frustration. I was still very courteous, but as soon as my wife went to the restroom, I complained to the server. He 100% acknowledged everything, but only said "yes, I won't lie to you, we are really dragging tonight". Unfortunately, by the time we left, all other local restaurants were closed so we couldn't even go find more food. They clearly knew they messed up, because they comp'd our wine, but the damage was already done. The only reason I gave 2-stars instead of 1, is because the pork loin was incredible, and I appreciated the honesty/candor from the waiter.
