went during the weekends and it was packed but definitely worth the wait! had the full blood wagyu denver and was super good. if you would like some vege with your meal, the broccolini was good as well. definitely would visit again!

Went on a weekend, it was just a few minutes walk from botanic garden, but do try to make a reservation especially the weekends as it gets really crowded. Loved the chill vibes. We got quite abit of items to share such as the fried camembert (i love cheese so this was good), as well as full blood wagyu denver and steak and eggs (would definitely recommend the wagyu denver, worth the price difference), we also had the grilled broccolini (really good unique taste ) as well as the cheese cake ( super soft even the sauce can be gelat after awhile because they gave alot hahah) but i would definitely come back to try the other items on the menu! Staff were also super attentive and nice

Ordered delicious steak - the wagyu denver & grainfed angus beef, both lived up to expectations although i preferred the wagyu denver as the cut was much more juicy, tender & made to perfection. Enjoyed the service from the staff, location was conveniently near Botanics Garden MRT, ambience was great- we were able to watch them cook as it was an open kitchen concept. Paired the steaks with a glass of old fashioned- & the smoky taste of the drink really brought out the taste of the beef. :)

The Fat belly is a great place to feed the carnivore inside you. Great selection of red meat perfectly cooked to perfection. The place as such is “simple” compared to a regular US steakhouse but they make it up by the flavors they serve. Service is top notch, prices are descent and the food is excellent, my kind of place.

Went to fatbelly steakhouse today near Botanic Gardens! Had the burrata and the denver steak definitely worth a try 10/10! Would also recommend the drinks there had a nice cocktail when I visited!

Fried camembert was nice and gooey, it paired well with the truffle honey. We got the wagyu denver steak which was very juicy and succulent, with broccollini on the side. We had cheesecake for dessert, the strawberry compote was nice and tart.

Went to fat belly for the first time and it was conveniently located about 3 mins walk away from Botanic Gardens MRT and really accessible. The staff were friendly and we were pleased by the warm and cozy atmosphere, with the soft lighting and wooden tables. Tried their fried camemberts which came with a truffle honey sauce and was blown away with how good the combination was! We also tried their Grilled Brocollini as well as their steak and eggs and it was so good! The main highlight was their Wagyu Denver Steak. It was perfectly cooked and was paired well with the garlic and salt. Overall, I highly recommend Fat Belly Restaurant. It's a great spot for a romantic dinner or a special occasion, but also casual enough for a night out with friends. The food, atmosphere, and service all come together to make it a truly memorable dining experience
Be the first to ReplyGreat time at Fat Belly
We dropped by Fat Belly at Botanic Gardens for a meal on Saturday and had a pleasant time there! The staff members were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. We had the fried camembert as an appetiser and it instantly became one of our favourites! The Wagyu Denver Steak was juicy, tender and perfectly seasoned. It is definitely a must try! We also had the steak and eggs, broccolini and cheesecake which we felt tasted great as well! We highly recommend visiting Fat Belly for a meal or for date nights! We really enjoyed our time there and would love to come back again!

FBG is located about a 5 minute walk away from Botanic Gardens MRT, which made it super convenient to get to! The staff were super friendly and made sure that everything was good for my friend and I. The steak that we got was absolute divine, and the Creme Brûlée French Toast was probably one of the best that I have had. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyNow called Meadesmore. Great steak at a hefty price.
Nice ambiance and service. Surprisingly poor starters and sides considering the steaks are $150 each. We didn’t get a chance to have them together as the sides came after the steak but they really didn’t go with steak anyway. The beef tomatoes were poor. Steak tartare reasonable. The Australian Steak was superb however. This was very close to a 3 star review but the steak was very fine.

The 9 course food was amazing. Highly recommend the spicy crispy pigs ear which was pretty addictive and very different from what I’ve tried before.
The steak portion was pretty huge. It was tender and well seasoned with crushed salt.
Really enjoyed the creamed kale, it was saucy and savoury.
Overall, the ambience was fantastic, great for date nights!
Great food for a memorable evening
My friends and I enjoyed the experience with the delicious food, nice ambience and friendly service staff. The food was also very well presented. I especially enjoyed the crispy pig’s ear and ox tongue, but the wagyu was a little too rare for my taste. Our evening was wrapped up with some tiramisu and Eton mess, which were both delicious desserts.

the service of the stuff is top-notch when we finish our meal but left some beef as it was too much to finish the waiter offer us to take out our reminding meal. great for the environment no food wasted.

The ox tongue was very tender and moist and the the pigs ears were very well seasoned. The only downside is that the pigs ears were a little hard to chew. We had the Jacob's creek wagyuu beef, medium rare. It was well seasoned and delicious though a bit tough. The scampi butter went really well with the steak and added a unique umami flavour to the beef.
The service was excellent with them having a keen eye for detail. Overall we really enjoyed our time there.
Lovely Valentine’s Day double date meal
My friends and I shared a total of 9 dishes. Among the 3 starters, I loved the spicy crispy pig’s ear the most, as it was a unique take on fries. The grilled ox tongue was also delightfully tender. The main course came along with 3 side dishes, including the grilled mushrooms, which was my favourite, with the delectable “green goddess” sauce. The creamed curly kale, with the parmesan crusted egg, was not like anything I’ve had before either. Our steak was a Jack’s Creek F1 Wagyu MS 4/5 Deckle, with a portion big enough for 4 to share. The steak was really tender and had a strong aroma of beef (of course). It was served with bordelaise and scampi butter, which blew my mind. I’ve never had scampi butter, and the strong umami flavour of the sea complemented the steak perfectly. To complete the meal, two desserts were served. While we were surprised that Eton Mess was an interesting interpretation of the traditional mango sago pomelo dessert, Fat Belly’s tiramisu was the real crowd pleaser. After all, nothing ends off a good meal better than a moist and decadent cake with just a hint of bitterness!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service
We ordered the grilled ox tongue, pig's ear and Jack's creek wagyu steak. The food was great and service staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. Restaurant ambience is also very cosy and inviting.
While the food is on the pricier side, it definitely meets expectations and I would recommend the place in a heartbeat.
Lovely place to unwind after work, with great steak and an amazing Eton Mess!
Visited on a weekday evening with a friend. The ambience was nice, less formal than fine dining but still quaint and stylish (good for date night too!). The service was prompt and our server was warm and friendly, checking in to see if we were enjoying the meal. The food itself was fantastic, and I like the more casual communal concept with the food served in sharing plates. Portions were very substantial.
We got the spicy crispy pig’s ear and it’s really as its name suggests, pig’s ear fried til crispy with a bit of a kick from the spice. I’ve eaten pig ears quite a lot of times but never fried like this. It’s very appetising especially with the tangy aioli and I find myself keep going in for more. The roasted Japanese scallops were plump and sweet, and cooked perfectly. For the main, we got the MS 4/5 wagyu steak. God bless, no more frustration with undercooked or overcooked steak cos theirs is just the right doneness so it’s really tender and juicy, with a nice smokiness and char to it. The scampi butter and bordelaise that came with it also paired very well with the steak. When it comes to steak, gotta say they know their stuff.
But what really stole my heart was surprisingly the dessert we got, the Eton Mess. It’s well-balanced, both in flavour and texture. While I haven’t eaten Eton Mess all that much, you bet it definitely won’t be my last time. Sweetness from the cream and black forest chocolate balanced with sourness from the berries, with bits of meringue mixed in for added texture, and then cold and refreshing sorbet underneath and a touch of alcohol to elevate the taste - it’s perfection in a cup.
Overall a lovely place to visit to unwind after work or to catch up with some friends, with great food and service!
Best tomatoes side dish I've ever eaten
The beef heart tomato dish is a delight from Fat Belly Steakhouse. It's refreshing, with bits of fresh pomegranates, dressed with fruity vinegar and not sour at all. Pairs perfectly with the wagyu.
Be the first to ReplyGreat night out with delicious food!
Came here with a friend to wind down after a long and tiring day of work, and it was an incredible experience! The staff were very thoughtful, always ensuring that we were comfortable and having a good time. They also took the time to explain the menu, which was highly appreciated.
What really blew me away, however, was the food! We had some interesting and exotic appetisers - crispy pig's ear and ox tongue - and they were so yummy that we polished them off almost immediately. I've never had them before in my life but I was so immensely surprised by how good they tasted. I'm glad that I had a great first taste of them at Fat Belly!
We also got the wagyu which really melted in my mouth. It was done just right, and it was both juicy and tender. I really recommend the sides as well - the crusted mac and cheese was a perfect pairing with this, as well as their tomatoes. I don't even usually like tomatoes but they were so fresh that I couldn't stop eating them.
I will definitely be back in the future! Will highly recommend Fat Belly Social to my friends who are looking for a special night out as well :)
Amazing food with a really cozy ambiance!
It's my first time dining here after strong recommendations from a friend. The restaurant was tucked on the second floor with a really cozy ambiance.
The staff were extremely friendly and beyond kind to explain the dishes before service. Began the meal with ox tongue (the first time in my life) and coming from someone that never had innards of any sorts it was simply amazing - really soft and tender with a strong roasted taste, definitely my personal highlight. The crispy pig's ear (first time having it as well) was a fantastic surprise. Batter was great and I just couldn't stop eating it.
We had steak as our main course and it was juicy, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly to our requirement, so much so that even the tomatos served on the side was succulent. Amazing hidden gem, and would definitely be back with friends!
