It was delicious!! Great staff!! Will return.
. wonderful experience!!!went with some friends and they've been back many times... atmosphere was also welcome !!!
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing.
Ordered takeout for the first time from Fireside and I can't see myself trying it again. The garlic knots were hard as a rock. No exaggeration. We each tried to take 1 bite, were afraid we were about to chip a tooth so we threw them right in the trash. The cheese on the nachos had a very odd grainy texture and my cheeseburger looked like it went through a panini press to make it fit into the thin to go container. The penne a la vodka and shepherds pie were enjoyed but that's about it for positive feedback. I'm starting to understand why the dining room wasn't even half full and there were only 2 people at the bar at 6 on a Friday.

At the suggestion of a friend we decided to go out here the other night. I had the garlic parm wings and Leto Mac salad. My daughter the pasta fagioli and pasta carbonara. My wife the fried mozz fried dough and the cheese pizza. My wings were decent cocked crispy and tossed with sauce. Tried bites of everything else and was all delicious. We will be going back I thanked my buddy for the suggestion.

Visited Fireside on Main last week and it was really good! I ordered the chicken Rollatin off of the specials menu and it did not disappoint. I would totally order that again! It was later in the night, and I sat at the bar while they were doing trivia, so it was a little louder than normal I have to imagine. The bar tender was attentive and helpful. Great bar selection, nice atmosphere. Will return again for sure.

We're the only ones sitting at the bar and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come over to us. The IPA's were pricey. After we ordered the pizza we got no napkins or utensils we had to use the bar cocktail napkins and the bartender never even came over to ask us how the pizza was. We even had to call him over to order another drink. The pizza was thin crust hardly no sauce and very hard, when you picked up the slice of pizza it wouldn't even bend that's how hard it was and it was burnt.
Be the first to ReplyPizza is awesome here perfectly cooked.
Highly recommend this place. Decor was on point and they had a great selection of board games to play during dinner.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed after several good experiences.
Takeout Wings were overcooked, borderline burnt and dry. I would have taken them back but had already been there twice because I had left the coupon home the first time and they would not honor the reduced price without it even though we told them about the coupon over the phone at the time of order. Rules are rules but that's silly in this electronic age.
Be the first to ReplyWe are so happy we decided to try this place for lunch.
Absolutely outstanding food. We ordered the buffalo chicken eggrolls- we weren't going to, but when the waitress said they were handmade to order we couldn't resist- crispy and delicious. We tried the crawfish fritters, and the fried chicken, collard greens, jambalaya and cornbread combo. I'm a bit of a Southern food snob, and this hit the mark. Fried chicken is lightly fried, juicy and perfect. Collard greens divine, jambalaya spicy and savory. On top of that, the service was warm and friendly and quick- what more could you ask for. We will definitely make this a regular spot.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is delish, and the staff is great. I met owners Mike and Lisa my first time there and I noticed they always check in with their guests to ensure a spectacular visit. Many times, the Food is being prepared by and brought out by the owner, Mike. They have a brand new, just built pizza oven in the back where Mike specialty cooks his pizzas for his guests. I am a pizza aficionado, and might I say, this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had, burning hot, perfectly charred, tasty ingredients. I've also had the trash can nachos which arrive at your table in a can and lifted in front of your eyes, all the gooey amazing-ness presented right in front of you. Crystal the bartender is awesome too, she knows how to make a tasty espresso martini (no baileys) and a dirty martini, and I am picky about my drinks and she can make a good one! Overall, I would def check this place out, it's fairly new, great food, friendly owners who care about their guests and remember them when they come back, and they even have live music and special events throughout the week. If you have a large party or gathering there is an entire upstairs and rooms you can rent out as well. I have been frequenting here often, so hope to see you there, cheers!

5/25/22 Fireside On Main is another great pub option in a growing number of dining choices in Plantsville/Southington.I had late lunch here with a former coworker today. It hasn't been open very long after the pandemic debacle, and change of names and ownerships over the past few years.Since it was a "new" place, we decided to give it a whirl. Certainly glad we did!We started with a split order of Buffalo Wings and Nashville Heat. Both were meaty and had just the right amount of heat to make them interesting, but not overwhelmingly hot.I decided on a battered fish sandwich that I asked our cheerful server if it could come in a wrap. She apologetically said no, they don't have wraps. Not a deal breaker, so I just had it on a brioche roll, with a side of excellent onion rings substituting French fries, for a small upcharge. They make their own tartar sauce that made the sandwich all the better. My buddy had a Fireside Burger with fresh cut fries that I taste tested and were fantastic. The owner came out to greet and engage us in conversation where we were seated in very comfy seats on the front patio area (they also had a larger patio behind the pub).He told us about his custom made pizza oven and asked if we'd like to try a slice, since he was making one for himself & the help anyway.Just a very few minutes later he came back out with a fresh from the pizza oven, a cheese pizza and plates. As full as we were from our lunch we managed to eat the slices. It was nicely charred at the edges and thin as you'd expect from a New Haven style pizza. It really was a great pie.I knock one star off for the lack of a wrap for my sandwich, otherwise this was five stars.

They haven't OFFICIALLY launched their opening yet, but they're open. There's been some talk about them on social media and a friend wanted to go. It's the same space as the old restaurant that was there. Word on the street is that Dean's stoves owns the building and kept upping rent until Tavern 42 decided to say 'take a hike' and moved on. Such a shame. It sort of makes me a bit bitter but anyway - moving on.We went in later on a Sat after a local fundraiser. The bartender (who is also the bar manager) was great and so was the female server/bartender behind the bar. Everyone was very social, inquiring and approachable. We tried a few appetizers, as we had already eaten dinner but wanted to round out the night with some drinks and snacks. We tried 2 different wing flavors - mango habanero and Nashville hot. Both were delicious - I'd def go back for wings and beers at the bar anytime! We also tried the trash can nachos - these have potential but they need to do a better job of layering the ingredients so when you 'dump' them - all of the chips have the delicious accoutrements! We also tried the Bavarian pretzels - 3 small pretzels with a beer cheese sauce. The cheese tasted amazing - the consistency a tiny bit odd, but I definitely found myself going back for more! Overall - nice spot, ample parking and decent food. Will definitely be back!!
