Fismuler Madrid Reviews from The Last Year
Bad table management
The most excellent and adventurous food. But extremely bad, rude, and unprofessional table management. One course was never served. We were ordered outside while still having some wine and having just been given coffee which was taken away in an incredibly rude way. Saved us an otherwise well deserved tip. Waiters were friendly, manager was rude in a way we have never experienced before.
A very good option
Great food. Extensive menu and many dishes are very delicious. Specially cared for raw material. I have been several times and have always been very satisfied. It only has one fault, it is very difficult to find a reservation for dinner. Not even a month in advance. A shame for those who catch us close.
Very good
The entrance is very very good, good wines and good prices…. The pork Milanese is very very good… recommended, it must be repeated
Overrated
We went to dinner as a couple. The restaurant is pleasant, with adequate but not outstanding decoration, until the view reaches the ceiling (it seems that the budget did not reach up there). The kitchen with a stove is partially visible from the entrance, with the drawback that its smell is permanent in the first room and filters into the second. They work two dinner shifts, and we went to the first one, on the weekend. Unfortunately, the warnings about when the departure time is not only limited to the phone call or the prior reservation by email, but the rush is transmitted from the moment one sits down at the table (they even tried to remove the plate from the table). table when we were not finished). And we just had dinner 15 minutes before our time. The starter they put to start, a chicken and pork pate, was good. We ordered the honeyed hake omelette and they served it warm, as if they had prepared it to speed up the process or had waited a long time in the kitchen before coming to the table; a shame, even so, there were almost more peas than hake; The same thing happened to us with the grilled monkfish, when it arrived at the table it was warm. It is true that they prepare the monkfish on the side to serve it on your already clean plate (logically, its price is 27 euros) but the excess capacity may mean that the orders arrive at the table with a certain delay, which of course cools the plate and it completely ruins it. Maybe during the week or with less capacity, the feeling is different. What we liked the most was the dessert (the cheesecake), and also the wine, which says quite a bit about the restaurant. In short, and based on the price of the site, our expectations were not met by a long shot and until they improve... we will not return nor can we certainly recommend it. With that budget there are many alternatives in Madrid that do not disappoint. Sincerely
Bad. Never again.
It is not a restaurant. It is High speed mass fabrication. Prefabricated standard dishes. Price level of an advanced cuisine was not matched with actual quality.
Not your usual Spanish cuisine restaurant
Modern and very welcoming place, industrial-elegant style, with a lot of personality. Professional and efficient service, very high quality of cuisine, which is not classic Spanish cuisine. We were delighted by various sharing proposals and a main course each (I chose a good fish). Good choice of wine, high prices (we ended up spending around €100 per person) but justified by local quality and service
Paying for the shot touched my soul
They are so cool and so modern that they even charge you for a shot of pacharán. Two shots 8 bucks that we had to pay after the bill. I guess in this modern world, inviting a shot is vintage and despicable. Good service and good food, but the shot thing touched my soul... I give it a miss
recommendable
A very cozy, modern place, with a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was impeccable and fast, super attentive throughout the dinner. The original and delicious dishes. Great live performance. We were celebrating a birthday and they behaved extremely well, no detail was missed, an unforgettable birthday. Thank you. Totally recommended.
Disappointment
The place is very nice and modern, the service is very good; But the food, I have to say, was a disappointment, I ordered rice that was very salty and lamb that had no flavor...
Fismuler: a fusion feast where Spanish meets Asian without
Fismuler: a fusion feast where Spanish meets Asian without unnecessary fanfare. The bread service kicks off the culinary symphony - chicken and pork pate, a drizzle of teriyaki, and an Asian cucumber salad that's refreshingly low-key. Kimchi, ponzu sauce, and sesame seeds casually stroll through the menu, adding a subtle nod to the East. Now, onto the Escalope San Roman - a veal cutlet that defies portion norms. Breaded, poached egg, freshly grated truffles, and chives, all done table-side. It's not a dish; it's a bold statement that your taste buds won't easily forget. And the cheesecake? No sugar overdose here, just a subtly sweet, gooey center that demands attention. Service is affable, not overly chatty, and reservations are the unspoken currency. If the online trail runs cold, dial them up; a same-day cancellation could be your backdoor entry. The atmosphere is charmingly raw and rustic, featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams and unfinished floors. The restaurant can get loud, so much that the police musician often gets drowned by the hustle of the dining room.
Good food, poor service and organization
The food is very good, we must admit. The problem is that the experience was affected by the service, although there are table times, we were not aware of the clock because we were focused on the experience. They had given us the table until 10:15 and at that same time they brought us the desserts that the waiters who were serving us had kindly offered us, when at the same moment the girl at the reception arrived to tell us, you have to leave. And us, how? They themselves had offered us to continue ordering, and another person practically comes to throw us out. The peak of the bad experience was Edwin, who I don't really know if he is the manager on duty or he pretended to be the same, but in a very pedantic and haughty attitude he came to charge us saying that he "gave us" the desserts and that was Enough courtesy to leave us, when we couldn't even touch them because from the moment they arrived at the table they were already kicking us out. He considered 1 that they are better organized between reservations and the room, and two, there cannot be a service leader like Edwin with a conciliatory, unempathetic and rude attitude like Edwin's, the experience diminished by 100%. I work in restoration and I know that incidents happen but the handling left a lot to be desired.
Overpriced and bland
We came here after a recommendation, we read the reviews, which were mixed, but I like to go in with an open mind. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and would not recommend or go back. The staff were lovely! Having said that, the vibe felt strange and slightly rushed. I would say the prices are on the expensive side, I ordered a chicken green curry for 22 euro. I expected a small size which is what I received but unfortunately the chicken was pink, I wasn't going to say anything until I cut into it again and it was extremely pink, my mum had the same, the staff handled it well and offered to change the dish. I ordered the rice, and it was ok but not much flavour. We were recommended the cheesecake for dessert, well being English we expected a sweet cheesecake, what we received was actual cheese, wasn't for us unfortunately.
Fismuler Madrid always excellent!!!!
Visiting Fismuler again and again can never get boring because every day you find a new surprise on the menu but without changing the flavors, the quality of the cuisine and the products and the super careful attention of this entire team led by Nino Redruello. From the complimentary detail (chicken mouse), omelette, squid, tartare, schnitzel, cod and tuna belly, to a modern and original wine list, this time pairing our dishes with an excellent Priorat wine. , all unsurpassed.
Very Good
We enjoyed our evening at Fismuler and would certainly go again. The food was thoughtful and well presented, although some of the prices were a bit eccentric (22euros for an omlette?). The interior was attractive and the staff were friendly, although we arrived 5-mins early and we were asked to come back later! Overall, this is a great place for a meal.
