Legendary restaurant in New York! Michelin 2 star is underrated! And you will love it more when you visit in person, especially when you tour the kitchen (just politely ask the waiter)! The dinner experience was way more memorable than most of the michelin restaurants that I went to. There was a smell of love, care, passion, hard work, and collaboration in the air!To start with, I went there for birthday, and on my dinning table, there lied a handwritten birthday card signed by the chef Gabriel. I was touched, because I had birthday dinners at other restaurants and they were not this fancy. The waiter was caring, he was able to fold the napkin every time when someone left the table, and constantly clean up the table. The portion is actually VERY GOOD. I was worried a bit because I ordered a 3-course for myself and a 4-course for my girlfriend, but they kept sending up complimentary bites between the courses, and the food quality was top-notch. And thanks to those bites, time passes fast, I was able to spend 3 hours in the restaurant while thinking it was only 2.Ok! Food itself! Plating and presentation is almost perfect, what's not so perfect is the lighting - I could take better photos if the lighting over the food were better. Everything was amazing, but the duck was the most splendid. And all the desserts were outstanding, I remember a lot about chocolate flavor. And my girlfriend loved the birthday chocolate dessert the most.I was go to put 9/10 for the restaurant, due to some dishes a bit too salty for me (if my perfect salty is 100%, GK is 110%). But then I was able to tour the kitchen and met the kitchen peeps. I enjoyed the vibe in the kitchen and the peeps were super friendly and happy while they were busy in the kitchen, they even stopped what they were doing to take photos with me. They told me the chef Gabriel left right before I went over to the kitchen, so I was not able to meet him. But I did see him in his staff, because they respected him a lot. It was an unbelievable experience, so I had to boost the score up to 9.5/10.Now the question - what is 10/10 in my experience?1. Better lighting on dining tables2. Less salty on some of the dishes (there was a green liquid in shot glass that was too salty for me)3. If I could meet the chef in person when in kitchen, that would be perfect. (luck). To summarize, I recommend this restaurant strongly, it's another level for dining experience. You can get good food in the dining room, and you can get good story in the kitchen, what more can you ask for? I spent $400 that night for dinner, and I felt it was well worth it!
