This is a great hole in the wall and place to grab drinks
This is a great hole in the wall and place to grab drinks on a weeknight it Vegas. YMMV on Friday-Sunday as this place is small and can get PACKED. Angela is an incredible barback/server here. She really does it all and goes out of her way to make sure customers are situated with excellent drinks that they'll love. She even went so far as to recommend an alteration to my friend's drink since we were standing instead of sitting. That kind of attention to detail should be lauded!

Loved this place! It is a little small but overall has a great atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. We all loved our choice of cocktails. Will definitely go back!
Be the first to ReplyGhost Donkey, a secret bar in the Cosmo, is quite popular.
I'd recommend getting in line about 30 min before they open as it filled up so fast. The line also got really long through the food court. My one recommendation for the bar is to remove the armrest cushion on couches; they are just in the way. Burro Tropical is a cool drink and the Lucha Libre is quite good, a traditional Latin drink.

I came specifically for the espresso martini, as I have seen it listed one several top 10 lists. To be honest the actual martini was very average, along with the service. Maybe because it is a Friday, but it was busy and there is an evident lack of attention for the customer and for the drinks. The espresso martini was very alcohol heavy and not well balanced. I had to close my eyes to taste the espresso over the liquor and cinnamon. There is very little seating and if you are not directly in front of a chair, good luck being recognized at the bar. I will say, once you do grab the attention of one of the bartenders, they work very efficiently to get your drink ready and your bill. I also forgot to mention prior to publishing that I did get a second espresso martini (it is exhausting moving around and finding a different bar) which was markedly better. It was also far less busy, so I believe the quality control the drink is directly proportional with the number of people at the bar. The two espresso martinis I had tasted almost like I got them at two different bars.

Upon recommendation from a local, this secret bar is a fun joint. It's crowded, it's small, it's got fun drinks. And it's all tequila! The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly.

Cool vibes, great for tequila lovers, not great if you're claustrophobic. In Cosmo. IYKYK
Be the first to ReplyThe truffle nachos are so good! This is such a cute place.
I had a few of the "mole Negronis " and "stone wall" definitely recommend! Service is always amazing. They have a good variety of cocktails.
Be the first to ReplyDidn't try the food.
Very small place, cozy, hidden in the food court in the back (Cosmopolitan 2nd floor). Very nice bartenders, giving advices, and helping you find quick seats as these are gone within a wink. Will return :)

I have been to ghost donkey like 5 or 6 times now and it's always fun. Even when it is super crowded (bummer) but then it's just part of the vibe. I caught the bar a little quiet twice on my last trip and it was so nice to sit down and order food and drinks and hang out. It's always on my list of places to suggest friends visit.
Be the first to ReplyEasy to find.
The bar tenders were super friendly. The drinks were good. I'm not a tequila person but the Mezcal old fashioned was good.

Nice little hidden place to chill for some awesome drinks and nachos that are espectacular, if you can find it. Service there was excellent.

Small bar tucked behind the multiple food stalls on second floor of The Cosmopolitan! We loved both our cocktails (see attached pictures)The guacamole and chips tasted ok-ish but was humongous.Good drinks, good ambience and good service - just about small space so be prepared to stand.

You may find it difficult to locate this spot, but keep hunting - BIG HINT, see my front door picture. Behind the block 16 food court, behind Hattie Bs lies a true speakeasy nestled behind a door with just a small donkey. Inside the decor and music is all part of the vibe. There is a massive donkey inside, BUT, the place is SMALL, which knocks off a star. Depending on when you go the capacity constraints can be an issue. I really enjoyed the focus on mezcal cocktails, which you smell the second you walk in. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the masterfully executed scratch cocktails. "ยกsalud!"

You never know it's there unless you're told. The service was good. We stopped in for drinks. We had spicy margaritas which really good. The only thing is the capacity is low so if there is a lot of people you won't be able to sit. The first time we stopped by there were no seats. Highly suggest checking it out.

Been here multiple times, but the service is so poor it's not worth the time and effort. Bartenders are slow, not an ounce of Vegas speed in them. Lack basic bartender awareness. Red flag #1. Makes it too hard to get a good drink in VEGAS. People were served standing behind the bar seats, before a bartender even acknowledged us SITTING at the bar. Peace out. BS standards for a speakeasy. Terrible bartender standards. The Barbershop smokes this place all nights of the week. Won't hype this place up anymore as a local. Screw what TikTok has to say. Lol.
Be the first to ReplyHidden bar at the cosmopolitan hotel.
Couldnt find it until i asked an employee where it was located? He politely told me so I went in. Bar was small, packed, and it had a bad smell. If you are catastrophic this might not be the place for you.

We were finally able to experience the Ghost Donkey! I've heard so much about it! As soon as we walked through the door- it was such a good vibe! My husband and I ordered a drink along with chips and salsa & just enjoyed the atmosphere. Our bartender was really nice & personable as well! We will definitely be going back!

5 stars but rounding up. Located in the back of Cosmopolitan's Block 16 food hall on the 2nd floor. Look for the donkey on the door and come on in. Open Sun-Thurs until 12am and Fri-Sat until 2am. We arrived at 11:15pm to a packed bar. We were luckily able to pull together some seats and squeeze next to a group sitting at one of the tables. Max occupancy is 27 people. The place is packed so patience is key when ordering drinks. We enjoyed what we ordered: altos paloma, espresso martini, and burro tropical. The burro tropical comes with a cute rubber donkey. The bartender suggested the pistolero but would have to try it next time. Lights were turned on and last call by 11:30pm. They turned away about 4 groups of people who came in after that. Felt a little rushed since the bartenders were breaking down the bar and packing up their bags/purse as we were enjoying our drinks. We were literally in and out within 30 mins. Do come with ample time to enjoy the bar keeping in mind last call is 30 mins to close.

Be the first to ReplyGhost Donkey shouldn't be a secret but perhaps better left
Ghost Donkey shouldn't be a secret but perhaps better left to be one before they run out of space. I'm going to stay where Ghost Donkey is located other than its on the 2nd floor of the Cosmos. Once inside the space is limited and if you happen to go during peak times, its not for the claustrophobic. I got there just as happy hour ended and found a little space by the exit door that had a adjacent shelf. My server who was one of that bartenders, Kelly was so attentive and genuine. Matter of fact, everyone at Ghost Donkey was super chill and cool. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I took some additional time that Kelly gave and ended up ordering El Pistolero. El Pistolero is a great drink but it can be spicy for some folks. I have a high tolerance for all things spicy so it didn't bother me at all. El Pistolero does pack a punch. I would say its not a heavy pour but a damn good value pour for the price of the drink. In my opinion, you're not being overcharged. There are other drinks and some snacks. I wasn't sure what the plan was for dinner with colleagues so I took the opportunity to order some chips and salsa. There are different salsas with one of them having a habanero base. I believe its the green one. The chips are basic and perhaps too stiff / crunchy. There were not thin and crispy.I decided a needed a second drink and whatever the Octogenarians ordered with the pint sized donkey garnish was too cute to pass up. Kelly did warn me that the drinks was super sweet. I appreciate her letting me know and I was well prepared for the sour / sweet twisted face that I was going to make after my first slurp from the straw. The drink is meh. Look, if you're into that type of drink kudos to you. I would rather have another El Pistolero with guns blazing but the little donkey was too cute to pass up . I knew from the moment I saw it I had to bring it back for my daughter. I totally dig Ghost Donkey, it's place to visit, get your vibe on, meet some friends, get s drink with colleague but be forewarned the space is limited. You may jockey for a space multiple times during visit to get the seat you want. Kelly and staff were a 10/10 ~ True professionals in every sense of the word. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out Ghost Donkey, just don't tell all your friends.
Be the first to ReplyTeeny tiny hidden bar.
So cute. Very funky "Mexico" vibe. Extensive Tequila and Mezcal selection. Great chips and guac. I had the best drink (shot-ish) of my life there, consisting of Clase Azul Resposado, a fresh orange, and a rim of Tajin. I have no idea what's it's called but I order it every time by explaining the ingredients. They always deliver....then I clearly always forget to ask as I'm leaving.... Must have been having fun!Adios Senora Rubia!

The smallest bar in Vegas (maybe not officially)! My 29 year old daughter thought this place was cool af! My 50 year old wife thought it was anxiety inducing. I thought it was fun that it had a speakeasy (hard to find) vibe, but it took way too long to get drinks for it to be enjoyable for anything but the novelty for me. It's a cool concept, but I also don't like mezcal, so probably not the right spot for me. The cocktails were definitely craft. If you like mezcal and lots of people, then you'd love this place! I don't fault them for not being my exact fit, so still 4 stars overall.
