Love coming here with my friends! The only downside is that you only get 2 hours. The food is amazing and best to enjoy it with friends
The food is great.
The service is amazing, the crew is friendly and easy to approach. The downside is the place. It is so tight. The ambiance is crowded.
The service was super fast.
. they were bringing in meats to bbq before the server finished taking our order. The server was also very attentive and always asked if we wanted to order more from the buffet.. the food was fresh and tasty. The cuts of meat for the bbq were top notch. The Ambience was great although it felt crowded because the place was full..

Wait times are long even if you join the waitlist you have to wait even longer than the estimated wait time. I understand that it's just an estimate, but we still weren't seated after almost an hour and the restaurant was going to close in an hour as well.
still good as before.
We have dinner menu all the time the prime Kalbe always best choice.
Food is amazing at any Gyubee location I've been to.
Service was great here as well. Highly recommend.
Do not go here on a weekend unless you want to wait 2-3
Do not go here on a weekend unless you want to wait 2-3 hours for a table (I am guessing weekdays are less busy but not sure because I'm a tourist.) Joined the waitlist from my hotel by the airport on a Saturday around 6pm. Took a Lyft to get to the restaurant to check in physically by 8. Finally got seated around 9pm for a table of 3. It was also the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, but I don't think that's a holiday in Canada. Important tip: they only accept Canadian cash or Canadian debit cards. I understand not wanting to deal with the hassle of exchange rates, but it wasn't posted online from what I can see, and my last visit to Canada (Vancouver though), all restaurants accepted credit cards or US cash. That was kind of annoying to find out from a sign on the door, but there are 2 ATMs in that shopping center, so we got Canadian cash out. After we got seated, we scanned the QR code at the table to pick our items out. Our server misheard my request for spinach and gave us lettuce instead. But it was ok bc we used the lettuce and didn't need the spinach. The meats are really good. We got the miso marinated steak, prime kalbi, marinated short ribs, thick cut pork belly, chicken cartilage, and miso marinated brisket. For sides, we got kimchi, bean sprouts, saamjang sauce, rice, lettuce by accident, and corn. I would get everything again except the chicken cartilage and would try a different pork belly. The thick cut takes a long time to cook and wasn't very flavorful. Tender and fatty though! For dessert, we got crรจme brulee (2 of us got seconds) and then one of us got the soft serve. The crรจme brulee was yummy although texture was a little softer than usual. The soft serve tasted like coconut so maybe it was coconut based. It was alright if you like coconut. When we paid in cash, the server told us the manager wouldn't accept one of our $20 bills. It had come out of the ATM a little crinkled and apparently it wasn't acceptable. Not sure if that's a universal thing in Canada, but it was frustrating after the 3 hours wait and having to get Canadian cash in the first place. Plus the ATM messed up the money, not us. Luckily we had smaller bills to equal $20 otherwise our server's tip would've been smaller. Only other note, our server came back enough times to ask us if we wanted more food, but sometimes I had to wave at her to get her attention. We were in a corner table and I'm sure she was busy. So my last tip is if you know you're hungry enough, order the meats you want as often as possible when your server comes around. Oh and not sure what the last call for the kitchen rules are. We got cut off only about an hour into our time, yet a big group behind us kept ordering food and so did one table that got seated really late. Didn't think that was very fair. I know it was getting close to closing time, but then why did other tables get to keep ordering food...? The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 3 is because the food is good. The meat quality also seems good. The AYCE dinner price was $42.99 CAD which is a good deal for the USD exchange rate. But I would technically rate this place 3.5 stars.

Food was really good however the line took an hour but was worth it. Staff was great! Dessert was okay
This place is ridiculous.
They tell you that you cant make an online reservation if your party is under 6 people. And if you want to make a reservation for under 6 people then you have to go in person and wait 2 hours. If you live close by and can go home then it's fine, but if you have to travel, then it's not. Do not recommend at all.
It's cost me too much long time unnecessarily.
You told me the restaurant was empty and I could come, but when you left, I waited for exactly 2 hours. Unnecessarily.
Service is good.
Food quantity and quality is great. We had the AYCE for dinner and everything was top notch. Decor of the place is modern and youthful. The only thing I dont like is the lineup and the long wait.

Probably one of the best kbbq/japanese bbq experiences I've had. The meat are of high quality, flavor was great, and the meat were melt-in-your-mouth soft. The service and ambiance were top-notched. The service staff were really kind.

Food is great, service can use some improvement, one of the servers decided to disrespectfully say to me that I never tip when I come and left some change at the edge of the table

In general is good just the meat a little too fatty, also they got us lots of brisket which looks like bacon, toooo greasy, without asking for it. Salmon is great!

service was good and ambience is okay. place is a bit small. would recommend
Take me here.
Take me here for my anniversary. Take me here for my birthday. Take me here for the heck of it. I love gyubee . So my first time coming here had a long wait. Learn from me and make a reservation online. We made an online reservation at 5:30 and didn't sit until 8:30. It's tightly packed and can get loud but our server at the time was amazing. He told us exactly how much to order for two people, and although it's AYCE, we really appreciated his help. Top highlight dishes for me: miso beef brisket, sake clam, sliced short rib, enoki mushroom, crรจme brรปlรฉe. Have the best night of your life.
I live their food, have been fan since they opened.
The service was really quick and attentive. My only ick is that if you come with a big group, they will not allowed you to split the bill, which would be fine by me if they mentioned it beforehand. But they did not, even when we booked the table or when the host took us to the table. I understand service charge usually applied for table more than 4 people but not letting us know about the non split bill policy until the end of the meal for 10 people is quite disappointed. Nevertheless, this restaurant will always be in my favourite list for less than 4 people, but I would not recommended for any of my friends if they plan to come in a big group.
Average grill
I went reluctantly when I heard that we have a time limit of 2 hours to dine there I dont feel that it is right to tell me when i have to leave when I pay for my food, unless it is closing time. And I dont try to stay as long as possible beccause time is precious Anyway, there I was. The food was as expected of a grill. Meat selection was large though. Ambience was average Did I say I felt a little rushed
Terrible service
I have been to this place in the first couple month when they start at Mississauga; terrible experience especially when they throw away my coffee! Here is the thing, I ordered a cup of coffee from Starbucks and went to this restaurant. The server told me the drink from outside are not allowed and they can help me keep it in the counter and give it back to me when we finished. I agree with that and understand whatever the reason they want to do it that way. But after I paid the bill, one of the young lady told me my drink is gone, IN THE GARBAGE CAN! Because the manager thought it is from the staff therefore the manager throw it to the garbage! Nothing but apology. Doesn't make me feel good at all. Still hate this place due to the poor service!
