Great!
Magical place. Service was good, food was amazing. I started off with the octopus appetizer which was delicious. Had a veal chop which was to die for, I mean you can't really eat steak after having a veal chop, it's so tender, the portion was filling as well. We also ordered the Pappardelle pasta with lobster it was really really good. Very heavy though.

I visited the hotel in September 2022 with my friend on a trip to LA. I had walked by the restaurant on a previous trip and was intrigued so I booked a table on this occasion. I am so glad I did. My friend cooks pretty good pasta and is always on the look out for good quality Italian food that is better than she cooks at home. This restaurant did not disappoint. The food was great and we ended up visiting a second time. We met the restaurant owner who chatted to us and told us the story of the restaurants growth over the years. We had two truly great evenings and the food was amazing. The wine and champagne options were great too. Would I recommend it, 200% yes. It is a great little restaurant that you need to visit in Beverly Hills. Also, in addition to the pasta, you MUST try to the Salmon entree. It was AMAZING. So much so that I got a taxi back from Santa Monica to have it again before I returned to the UK. I have not had a salmon dish as good either before or since.

Stupendous ambiance, food and service, Impeccable, beautiful and classy and the best Italian food in LA. Nino helped us navigate through the menu and drinks and besides his amazing attention to detail, everyone else was just as attentive and helpful. We started with il cielo antipasti, really flavorful and fresh, ask for the bread and olive oil on the side, itโs a focaccia with tomatoes and itโs to die for. As for the main courses, I had the wild boar ragรน pappardelle and my fiancรฉ the vegetarian spaghetti, again, cooked to perfection just Al dente enough, every bite a journey into the heavens. Finished it off with the chocolate heart cake which is a raspberry chocolate small cake served on a round tray, Nino customized it upon request and added the โamoreโ writing in chocolate sauce. Amazing. He then gifted us a shot of limoncello to wrap things up. The perfect dinner. Bravo.

Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant, but expensive for what it delivers
Walking in here is stunning. Twinkling fairy lights all around the courtyard and overhead. If you ignore the hum of traffic outside, then you could be somewhere quite idyllic and Mediterranean. So five stars for atmosphere and style! As someone else mentioned, however, it is quite staggeringly expensive for what it delivers. At these prices, you can be easily eating one or even two-starred Michelin food, and it's some way off that. There's nothing particularly bad about the food. The steaks were well cooked, with perfect mashed potato and bordelaise sauce (as it should be at $70). Nothing wrong at all, but what you'd expect a decent French-style bistro to be able to deliver. The special of the day (lobster with pappardelle and white truffle) was pretty average - lots of lobster, but very "rustic" in presentation shall we say. Or dumped in the middle of a bowl to put it another. And at $85 for that, you'd really expect more style and refinement in taste and presentation. So absolutely come here if you want a romantic meal in beautiful surroundings and are largely indifferent to how much you spend or what you get in return. If it's the food that matters though, there's better places around at much lower prices.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food, even better atmosphere
We had an amazing Anniversary dinner at Il Cielo. It is such a beautiful, romantic atmosphere. I loved all of the twinkling lights and greenery. It was a relief to be able to have a conversation without shouting. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere and outstanding service is what made it really special. Highly recommend.
Be the first to Replyvery nice family meal
I am being generous at giving it an excellent rating, but that is OK in this case. The food was delicious, and we had brunch with a wide variety of offerings. Staff very friendly and helpful. The patio has some traffic noise, but it is totally pleasant. Valet parking is available, but there is actually some street parking across Burton Way that might work.
This is one of those places where you can have a family meal for 6 or 8 people at a table and have a delightful experience.
Expensive, but Flawed
First, realize that this is not a fining dining experience, except as a matter of price. Dining takes place in a lovely garden with white tablecloths, but the food is far from what the prices might suggest, Three of our party had the lobster in cream sauce over pappardelle (a special). The dish was tasty enough, but lacked the sophistication that might be expected, based upon the pricing. The presentation was downright amateurish and consistent with what might be expected from a home chef. We also shared calamari, also a special. I would rank this dish low on the list of calamari dishes we have had in restaurants, many far cheaper than this one. Finally, the wine list might be described as barely adequate and far below the standard that a place like this one should maintain.

I'm so glad that they are operating now, they the sweetest most genuine staff. Our waiter Nico was so patient with our 8 year old with all of his needs. Coming to restaurants with family can be difficult and they made it as magical and more than the pictures. Nico also had stupendous help from Elijah, he was able to translate some things that I couldn't for my family that have difficulty with English at times. I LOVED my entire experience with them, a great representation of the establishment. Definitely plan on coming back in the following years to come with this everlasting fantastic first impression.

Cozy little place and nice atmosphere in Beverly Hills.
Any choice from the menu has incredible taste. The chocolate soufflรฉ deserves a special attention. The flavor and texture was one of the best I've tried in L.A
Would return, without a doubt.
Great Italian Cuisine with Japanese Flair in Town!!
Spent my wifeโs birthday in this Michelin-starred restaurant, indulged ourselves with their amazing food, great quality and service! Chef Yohhei came to chat with every customers, it elevated the dining experience for all of us. Definitely a hidden gem in town!!!

I love to come this restaurant. Nice server and burtender. I enjoy food and wines! I highly recommended to sit inside of the restaurant, but It's a patio! I love the design of this restaurant, too
Be the first to ReplyTerrible judgment by the manager
The food and service is usually top here! The gentlemen who served us this time was great. The only thing we can complain about is the fact that we ask to move tables due to it not being so suitable. There were lots of tables free but we were told they were reserved. Sadly no one ever came to occupy any of those tables. Terrible judgement and service from the managers end. A real let down to the team is who is great.
Be the first to ReplyShould be 5 star, but service and attention to details...3 stars
First off this is favorite restaurant, and went there for my wife's birthday. The food is Fabulous!! 5 stars!
However, the high point of service was the hostess greeting my wife with Happy Birthday thereafter, here are lapses that should not occur in a fine dining establishment:
1. They tried to seat us in a room that had a set up for 25+ people at large table. We were seated such that once that group came in we would have fast food noisy ambience at best. They did move us to a table, which was lovely from my wife's view, but I saw over the course of the evening 100s of wait staff running in and out of the kitchen, which was very poorly 'vieied ' by some plants
- IN DEFENSE of the wait staff, we were told they were slammed, short one wait person, so the following are management driven in my opinion...
2. I ordered a nice white burgundy wine...the waiter brought the wine over didn't show me the bottle, pulled the cork, and poured full glasses, no tasting or presentation. ON A REFILL THE WAITER PULLED A CHEAP BOTTLE OF WINE BY MISTAKE FROM THE SAME ICE BUCKET AND MIXED OUR FINE WINE WITH CRAP. NO REMEDY OFFERED?
3. Inattentive service, we had to flag down staff to get refills of water, get bread, etc.
4. We ordered the 4 course meal that came with dessert. Dessert came no birthday candle or acknowledgement of my wife's birthday? I mentioned this to the waiter who said he wasn't informed by the hostess...
The wait staff was really apologetic, and realized that our service didn't go that well. If it wasn't my wife's birthday, and her fave spot, I would have been less than mellow and ask for a credit to be used in the future.
Again, the staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off...that is a management issue. IN fine dining you have backup staff available if someone calls in sick. Besides, the lapses above are not all solved by one more wait person.
All in all, beautiful setting, great food, but the service was a constant detractor of the overall experience.
