Came back for the first time in 4 years.
No change in my review. Clearly they don't have enough wait staff. The place has a suburban, corporate-owned restaurant vibe. May try again in 4 more years.

We had birthday dinner for a friend and I totally relied on yelp review, it had very good review.Sometimes it works and sometimes not but this one was great one. Ambiance was nice, service was great, overall food was delicious!! Everything tasted perfect! Not too salty, not bland, it had perfect umami! We all enjoyed it! Next time Im on Palm Springs, I would definitely come back for more!

Food excellent, unfortunately I left a table decoration of light on the table and when I just called since no one answers earlier supposedly they had been tossed. I think someone took them since they lit up with battery shape of light blue with glitter inside. They didn't even give me a chance to retrieve Poor service in that sense

Sat down at the bar, ignored by the bar tender and never served. When confronting the bartender, Omar, he was dismissive telling us he was busy and get a regular table. Really sad that the service is this bad. Will NEVER go back again.

Came in at 4:45 pm on a sat for a very early dinner because we missed lunch. Was able to be seated right away since it was so early. The food and drinks were amazing. The bad: Our server not only had no personality, his interaction was robotic and very short. Almost like he didn't want to be there. We didn't take it personally since he was like that with all 3 tables he was serving. The good:Luckily, all the other staff members were so pleasant. Our hostess was friendly and funny. The bussers attentive with refills and other servers seem to be professional and nice. Drinks - the avocado sour was delicious. Thought it was going to be guacamole in a cup but one of the nice servers (not the server that took care of us) assure us it was worth a tried and we were glad we did. Refreshing, tangy with a hint of avocado. My PS Mule came with a small bottle of grey goose to be mix at the table. Never seen it serve that way and the drink was strong but easy to take down. Food- we both other the pasta with main lobster. Pasta was cook perfectly and the sauce was flavorful and light. It paired really well with the lobster chunks. The grill octopus was served on a bed of arugula, cherry tomatoes and olives. Had a nice charred taste and the meat was so tender. The burrata with heirloom tomatoes was also very good. Light, fresh and creamy. Overall I would recommend this location. I have also tried their other location in palm desert and quality is the same.

4 of us had dinner this past Saturday. We were seated at the worst table..10 feet away from 2 cold, drafty doors. We asked to be changed and then were moved OUTSIDE! Now we were really cold. The server, overworked, finally arrived. We inquired about specials. He obliges. We then were moved a 3rd time. Our appetizers arrived with our cocktails. We barely finished our appys when our entrees arrived. This evening promised to be a most stressful, uncomfortable one with no fine dining experience. To be objective, I will compliment our entrees. They were serviceable/good. They arrived appropriately hot. There was a glitch when the check arrived we were informed that we were charged twice. We were assured that one check was voided and would show on our statement within 48 hours! What? There was no attempt by management to address the many difficulties we endured. For these reasons I could never recommend this place.

Had a FABULOUS group dinner celebrating my birthday with a group of 16. Wine choices were amazing, the staff were so kind and even gave us great recommendations to go out afterwards, and the food!!!!! I had the beef carpaccio and would HIGHLY recommend splitting the carbonara. It was the best I've ever had, just super rich, so I'm glad we shared.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is simply amazing.
Great food, peaceful ambiance, and absolutely amazing service. Our food came surprisingly fast and our drinks. Omar, was extremely respectful and very attentive to us. I definitely recommend.

Came here with my sister last week and both of our pastas were really good. We ordered the ravioli and linguini, the sizes look a bit small but they were both pretty filling. We ended our dinner off with the panna cotta which was also a 5/5. If I am ever in the area again, I will for sure be coming back here.

My last review was in 2014, for one reason or another I stopped doing reviews. But after the event with the manager of this establishment, I cannot remain silent and decided to write again.Every time I visit Palm Springs for business I go here because they have one of the best Old Fashioned in town. I have brought many guests to this restaurant for years. (started in Palm Desert) The food is good. This week, July 6, I ordered as always, the Filetto Al Pepe Verde, a small cut of filet mignon. It's one of my favorites and usually very tender, but my first bite was very hard and chewy. I thought if I tried another bite closer to the center that it would get better, but it was hard and chewy too. This cut of meat should be very tender. I just couldn't enjoy a tough prime rib and stopped trying. I called over the server and the server apologized and asked if they could prepare another prime rib. I said no, it's too late. My guest was almost done with his Lamb Chops, so I just sent the dinner plate back to the kitchen without eating anything else on the plate. I noticed later in my hotel room that they had charged me for the prime rib that I sent back to the kitchen. The next night, we went back to enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. I brought back the receipt and asked for the manager, but he never came. I went and found the manager. He was sitting in a chair as a king looking for his cell phone instead of tending to the guests. I told him about the meal I returned in hopes that he would do the right thing and take the charge off the bill. He told me that since I ate a few bites that he wasn't going to take the charge off my bill. I told him that in order to realize if a piece of meat is good, you have to taste it. But still, he refused to take off the charge saying that I ate half my meat even though I returned the plate to the kitchen. When it comes to customer service, it is my belief that the manager should have come to the table like an adult and done the right thing. I frequent this restaurant with business guests and spend hundreds of dollars a night. I don't care about the money, but I do care about good customer service and a restaurant doing the right thing. But now over $45, they lost a customer and all the guests I bring with me when I come. I don't recommend this restaurant anymore. We spent another $120 in cocktails and appetizers that following night, but we won't be coming back. Instead, we went to Melvin's another local restaurant with superb customer service, and we were treated right - as we should be treated in a nice restaurant. Is lost business and lost customers really worth $45 bucks?

Be the first to ReplyA friend and I, both PS locals, decided we would experience
A friend and I, both PS locals, decided we would experience the finer PS restaurants this year. Il Corso was our sixth restaurant to visit. The atmosphere was the best of all the finer eateries we've visited. It's classy, well designed, and set a good mood for dinner. The food was good, not exceptional, but a fair value. The service was good, maybe a tad too good. The service staff asked too many times if everything is ok. Definitely recommend Il Corso for dinner. Restaurant visited before Il Corso was Le Vallauris. That was a waste of time and lots of money.
Be the first to ReplyThe worst of the worst.
Overcharged for pasta dish and on top of the overpriced pasta or I should have called it paste swimming in car oil. I could have done an oil change and saved a trip to my mechanic. After encouraging me to custom create my own pasta dish, even suggesting I add certain things to it, I got a bill charging $3.00 per ingredient on top of an overpriced dish swimming in car oil. It was my sons birthday dinner, they knew nothing about it. Didn't bother to rectify an already horrific experience. How/bout a piece of bread with a candle,..something. The prices are outrageous, service horrific and if you decide that's not enough info; eat at your own risk,. When I called and left word about my lovely experience I heard nothing back. I was told that the owner was the chef that night. Shame on him/her and any body associated with this place. I can't even call it a restaurant.!
Be the first to ReplyI was a bit apprehensive about making a reservation here
I was a bit apprehensive about making a reservation here considering the Yelp rating. However, upon closer inspection you can see that quite a bit of one star reviews are from either fake profiles, or profiles only used to complain about places (one in particular has 14 one stars out of 20 reviews and another 27 one stars out of 36 reviews lol). So please don't write this place off based on Yelp because I feel a lot of the comments are unreasonable..We went here for the first time tonight and were one of the first people in the door for dinner. The place feels spacious, likely due to the high ceilings and industrial-chic look. They have plenty of seating indoors as well as on their patio outdoors. The hostess was welcoming and our waiter was friendly and attentive the entire evening, as were the rest of the staff with their own tables from what I could see/hear. The bread we received was freshly made and still warm. The tapenade that comes with it was yummy too. I saved some bread to dip into my main course, which was the linguine alle vongole. It tasted just as I would make it (lived/worked in Italy for a few years) and it made me feel very nostalgic. Plenty of clams in the dish too (some places are frugal on them). My mom ordered one of the specials, fresh ravioli with mushrooms and ragu on top. She absolutely loved it. For dessert we had the cannoli and the tiramisu. Both were pretty big portions and they tasted wonderful (although the tiramisu isn't made with ladyfingers but oh well..).We really enjoyed our dinner here and thought that the prices reflected the quality of food and service we received. I will definitely be back!

..sooooooo good! Octopus appetizer, prosciutto and arugula pizza, pasta arriabata...all delish! And Jesus provided us great service. Come and enjoy every bit of this place, you won't regret it.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Italian food.
I was skeptical based on the amount of stars but glad we decided to give it a try. The octopus salad was charred to perfection. The penne pasta and Romana pizza were incredible. Our server Jesus was kind and very attentive. Recommend this spot if you're in Palm Springs!

Tried the Ramona pizza which is so flavorful! Definitely recommend
Be the first to ReplyWe liked this restaurant, overall.
Good, fresh ingredients throughout, the cornerstone of any good dining experience.Pros: Other than one minor item, all the food - salads, entrees, sides was good. Drinks were well made Service was OK. Not great, but not bad either. Given the post-Covid staffing constraints all restaurants are dealing with, I believe some allowance is in order. Key service items were good: food arrived hot and all food items were as specified when we ordered Comfortable and welcoming dining room.Cons: Very hard to get waiters attention, again probably due to staffing issues NoisyAll in all, I will be back again: a fair-value restaurant with OK service, comfortable and good, fresh food.

We visited the Palm Springs location last night (March 29th) First let me say the food that we ordered was very good. The menu that is listed on the website is slightly different from what is offered in the Palm Springs location. We were told that the online menu reflects what is offered at the Palm Desert location. The ambiance is really nice. When we made the reservation we specifically requested outdoor dining. A couple members of our party are still concerned about covid. When we arrived we were told if we wanted to sit outside we would have to wait an hour. I asked the host if outdoor dining is first come first served. She very, VERY rudely and abruptly said that our reservation was "standard", and that if we want to sit outside it will be an hour. I can't express enough the rude and condescending tone in her voice. So much so we nearly walked out. We agreed to sit inside and move past the negative experience. The server was pleasant and redeemed the evening. I can't say that we won't visit again, though our initial experience will be considered before deciding.

When I asked to be accommodated, per my reservation, for outside seating I was over run by a manager that never let me get a word in. I was spoken over and never allowed to speak. Apparently they don't call customers when they can't accommodate a reservation, it would be dangerous to be seated outside after it had sprinkled, AND the phones don't dial out, it's the way things are, this is how they do business, things happen. Wow! I was okay to leave, but I wondered why he couldn't just say: "Hey - I'm sorry. It rained and kinda messed things up. I see you had requested outdoors. I am sorry we can't accommodate your reservation. I see you in here all the time and I appreciate your business. Tonight was rough." I am happy to leave and happy to understand. But the man talking over me at 100 miles an hour with no let up or acknowledgement? Not appreciated.
