Really amazing Indian restaurant
Indian Accent is a top class Indian restaurant in New York City. The food is simply stunning alongside a great wine selection and super service. See photos of food โฆit tasted so good!

Really delicious indian restaurant. The service was great and the atmosphere was good for having dinner with my boss. The price was reasonable for how much food we got. I would go back.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. My husband and I were a little unsure of what everything in the menu was. Our server MD explained every possible detail of each dish. We told him our likes and dislikes and he was able to help us navigate the menu. All his recommendations were on point. I can't even explain how amazing the food and the presentation were. The attention to detail that the chef puts into his dishes are incredible. We chose the 3 course prefix. I didn't want each course to end because the flavors were incredible. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, the next course blew me away. This restaurant is an experience and worth every single penny. Our service was probably the best service we've ever had in a restaurant. Go. You will not be disappointed.

This place had a hype which made me drive all the way from long island to NYC to eat at this Indian joint. I had made an appointment at 8 pm which was not ready and after 10-15 min got a table which looked like I was eating food with a train of people all tables were adjoining to each other. Any way had to make some commotion so that they moved us to booth privacy at last. The service was good except my wife's drink came after 45min. Food was not for Indian palate but was not bad,

tasty options including vegetarian, great service, nice atmosphere. everyone gets an accompaniment with their main course which is like a bread or starch of some type. if you get the 3 course then 3 from any category (except only 1 main), likewise for 4 course. if you're celebrating a bday, no need to order another dessert ;-)

Rude and pretentious host. We had a reservation, yet they still had us wait an hour. No apologies. Sad because we were really impressed by the food. Service only got better when we ordered an expensive bottle of wine. Not cool. Will not return, nor can I recommend a restaurant with outdated and pretentious service mentality.

Fabulous food. Lovely setting. Attentive wait staff. We have frequented Indian accent many times and have introduced our friends to the venue. Unfortunately we wonโt be back and we suggest you avoid the rude behavior that ruined our night. Our table ordered cocktails, all name brand liquor. When the bill came my husbands shot of Don Julio was $60.00! We thought it was an error. When we questioned it the server said nothing. As we left the older man at the front of the house asked about our meal. We complained about the surprise pricing for the Don Julio and he said we should have known. We observed that in the past when a bar has an unusually expensive pour the customer is informed ahead of time. He didnโt back down. Our friend said โ all you have to do is say you are sorryโ. We had paid. We were leaving. We were calm. We were regulars. The response โ Iโm not sorry โ. Thereโs no excuse for that behavior and no reason for us to return. Save yourself the aggravation. There are other places in NYC

Amazing Indian restaurant. Unusual dishes and twist on traditional Indian cuisine. Excellent presentation of dishes.
Be the first to ReplyWe have to Dine here Whenever We visit New York City
Thank you Amy for another superb, unrushed experience with delicious food, an attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers a three course or four course menu. We chose three courses. We ordered the sweet potato shakarkandi, starfruit, crispy okra and the potato sphere chaat, white pea mash for our appetizers. For our Mid-course dishes, we ordered the tofu masala, shishito peppers which was so beautifully cooked, and the prawns and the butter-pepper-garlic, cauliflower. Lastly, we ordered our main dishes which were the wild mushroom kebabs, morel pulao, winter truffles and my favorite the butter scallops, sea beans, cauliflower & saffron curry. We had to try to stop ourselves from eating everything so fast because it was so delicious. We will be back again when we return to NY city. This place does not disappoint in our opinion!

I thought I had been to good Indian restaurants before but this meal was so much better than any prior meals. The three of us picked a different menu item from each course - we had no idea what we ordering but all were so good, I recommend this restaurant highly. The serve was outstanding,
Be the first to ReplyI will definitely go back. Highly recommended!
The food was excellent. Although a prefix menu, the options are very complete. A very complete wine and cocktail list. The service is superb.
Be the first to ReplyBeware of the prix fixe requirement when making your reservation.
We had reservations and did want the large 3 course prix fixe dinner. The manager explained that the prix fixe was mandatory in the dining room and a La carte was only available in the bar. โFineโ we said, but there were no seats at the bar. There are probably at least 10 small tables in the bar area and only one was occupied. โThose are not available for a La carteโ we were told, in an arrogant manner. Weโve eaten there several times and very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. But the way we were treated this time has soured us on this restaurant. There are too many wonderful restaurants near Carnegie Hall to risk being treated as we were with arrogance and indifference.
Be the first to ReplyNot quite up to expectation
Could be that memories tend to fade, but this time we didnโt enjoy as much: service was as usual very professional and punctual. We chose the 3 choices menu and the 3 potato sphere Chaat where cold, ici cold. The mutton quite good. Than we had the smoked eggplant (nice but again to cold, while the shrimps where ok. Lastly I had a very delicious lamb. Honestly tough the past experiences where much better.
Be the first to ReplyFine Indian dining experience, but something is missing...
Rated 4 of 5 because the service was very good. The food was just ok. Love Indian food for it's amazing flavors, but at Indian Accent had a feeling that the chef missed a bit delivering a matching experience of execution and flavors. Appetizer (jackfruit pulkha) was nicely executed, pleasant to look at, but pretty bland. Crab claws had this a bit overburned garlic coating that killed the delicious taste of the crab meat, it was masking all other flavors. Chicken meatballs were perfectly executed, but again missed matching combination of spices/flavor. And the dessert was just pure mousse, it had a pleasant saffron flavor, but just a cup of mousse left a feeling that something is missing. Given how nice was the execution, I'm sure this place can do better...
Be the first to ReplyBest Indian food I have ever had!
This place truly is an experience! Beautiful setting, amazing service and the most delicious, innovative Indian food. Chef takes his menu from all over India. My husband and I both ordered different items so we could try more things. Not a bad one in the bunch. Honestly, the best Indian food we have ever eaten. Worth the splurge for sure!!!

Best indian food that I ever had! Great service and nice ambience. Easy to find in the middle of Manhattan. Donโt miss this experience when you are in New York
Be the first to ReplyEverything was excellent !
Everything was Excellent from food to service , everythingโฆ I had a great server couldnโt remember the name but two african american girls one of them was a back waiter . They were top notch wiping my table after every course, water refilling without me pouring by myself. Just remember you cannot order a la carte but its 3-4 course menu but you have a great choices even if you are vegetarian or nv person. Food came out on time, dinโt have to wait too long neither for drinks ! Amazing creativity on the food, very impressive !!

Families are not welcome. Well this is what front of desk told us. โthe chef does not like childrenโ First time in the world I have heard this. Wish I could have recorded it.
Be the first to ReplyTruly inventive and mouth-watering Indian cuisine
This was a truly spectacular meal. Every course was perfection, and Iโm hardly exaggerating. If you go as a group, Iโd recommend that each person selects a different appetizer / mid-course / entree so you can try as many delicious items on the menu as possible. The pickle braised ribs were absolutely divine, and it melted right in my mouth. I ordered the tandoori salmon (was a bit concerned that I was making a mistake ordering salmon at a great restaurant like this, when I could be getting something more unique). That being said, it was probably the best salmon Iโve had in my life. The kheer desert was awesome too. A very memorable and special dining experience!
Be the first to ReplyWell worth a visit!
Went here based on reviews and I am glad we did. The food was outstanding and definitely different to Indian food at a regular Indian restaurant...but well worth a try. The staff were great and the setting was lovely. Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGet the 3 courses
Unless you have an oversized appetite, you will be happy with the 3 course option. The 'accompaniment' is actually the size of one of the courses, not a side dish. The waiter will say, "This is one bite, this is two bites, etc." But each course is more than enough. You will leave quite full. With that bit of business out of the way, this is an excellent restaurant. All the food is flavorful, sometimes a bit spicy, but if you like Indian food, it will not be too spicy at all. Lastly the restaurant is upscale, so dress up a bit - nothing extravagant, but not jeans and sneakers. The restaurant is expensive, but almost everything worthwhile in NYC is.
Be the first to ReplyManager Richard Lukomski is INCREDIBLE
Beyond incredible experience and amazing service and show by General Manager Richard LUKOMSKI. Impeccable service and menu knowledge was far beyond expectations. It was great to hear the stories behind all the dishes in such intimate detail. Would highly recommend and will be coming back again and again.

This was my third time at Indian Accent in NYC and can honestly say this is my favorite restaurant in the city. The spicy chicken was to die for and every dish was out of this world. Great service and the best Indian food on the planet. 3 course menu was very reasonable.

Be the first to ReplyNot a typical Indian restaurant
I was skeptical about fixed menu at first. Once we sat down, staff asked us to select one dish from each course, we each picked different ones. Food prep and menu was very nice and unique. Very nice ambiance. This is not your typical Indian restaurant and must be experienced. Reservations were a little hard to get, so try booking in advance,
