Avoid! Great ambience, mediocre food and underground service!
If I could give this place 0 stars I would definitely do so! The service was very inattentive and once we ordered our meals, our waiter did not even bother to check up on us. No one stopped by to see if it tastes good or if we need anything else. One of the gentleman who brought the food to the table had a really bad attitude and gave us a nasty look because we couldn't understand what dish he brought out. I am sorry, but the music was loud so we kindly asked him again what dish it was, but he rolled his eyes and walked away. We would have told him that our dishes were lukewarm and tasted extremely bland. This is unacceptable customer service! The food is mediocre at best and there are plenty other places out there. I ordered steak fajitas and the meat quality was very disappointing. It had no flavor and very chewy. Needless to say I only had a few bites. Another no go was the fact that I was charged for a double order of steak fajitas, but I only ordered a regular meal. Unfortunately, I only paid close attention to bill after we left as we just wanted to get out of the restaurant. The guacamole was bland as the rest of the food as well as the refried beans. Salt goes along way when cooking! The remaining dishes pollo asada, enchiladas Del Mar and steak picado were not to brag about either. Any little Mexican place has a better turnaround than this. If you are a group of 6 or more people don't expect any customer service as the gratitude is included and they don't bother with your table at all. What a joke on a $500+ bill. We spoke to a gentleman at the front about our bad experience, but he didn't really seem to care much so we left. The masses keep this restaurant open because it's definitely not the quality of the food neither the unprofessional customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away! This is a tourist trap for drunk tourist who have no clue how good food and service looks like!

We ate here during a family trip with my sister and brother-in-law and my son and daughter-in-law. We love this place and try to eat here every time we are 8n Las Vegas. Reservations were at 5:30 due to a show we had at 8. There were 6 of us and we were seated at their round tables which are hard to get in and out of, but there arenโt many others options. We had the pollo asada and the enchiladas poblanos and enchilada and taco duo. Everything was amazing! Their refried beans are the best Iโve ever eaten anywhere! We also ordered 2 rounds of Javierโs margarita, yummy! Everything was fantastic!

Nice Mexican food place. A little pricey but good food, great ambiance, and decent service. The salsa with chips are a tad over spicy, but the guacamole was spot-on. I recommend making a reservation or you may be stuck with a wait.

Best Mexican food in Las Vegas. Out standing service and gorgeous restaurant. Went on a 5 star food crawl on business trip and this was the best
Be the first to ReplyGreat Experience
I will be honest, I am not that familiar with Mexican cuisine but our waiter Moises walked us through the entire menu and gave us some great recommendations. The Margaritas are excellent and my favourite dish was the Cabo Azul, which is Maine lobster enchilada, poblano chile stuffed with dungeness crab and shrimp, shrimp taco, rice and beans. Wonderful service and atmosphere and the food was very tasty.

Slow service!! Finished my drink nobody ever asked me if I want another one. A lot of people giving out water though. If you have a bunch of waiters and waitresses passing out water, it means the food is not prepared they have to keep busy so thatโs what they do.I would not have went other than for my classmates touting. This is a good restaurant. They were wrong or they donโt know good food not sure maybe theyโre young.

Javiers is just good Mexican food. We used to go in LA and we like the Vegas location too. Food Itโs quite good here. There are some great, flavorful options and if you like Mexican you will like Javiers. Itโs sort of a no brainer to be honest. Vibe Thematic decor makes it feel quite interesting. Service The staff is quick and professional. Itโs not like a super formal, 5-star restaurant so donโt expect that, itโs more relaxed and easy. Overall If you like Mexican, go to Javiers.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible fajitas.
Fajitas at a Mexican restaurant shouldnโt be that hard. Used to be good here. These were awful. Dry. Bland. Limited accompaniments. Complained to waiter twice. Second time he sent over a manager. He made us feel like his adversary. Manager said since we ate too much of it and didnโt not complain to the waiter early enough, he would not take the 38 dollar each fajitas orders off our bill. We wonโt be back. We will go to Joeโs. You canโt hear yourself think in Javierโs anyway.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful meals/very high noise level
Amazing food and service. We were at a table of 8 people and literally could not hear anyone further than our immediate neighbor. Maybe we're just getting old but the noise level was quite impressive.

This place was highly recommended to me by an uber driver. The food was completely bland, dried out and not at all tasty. I loooove Mexican food, I think it's the best. I have had all kinds, however this place, though the ambiance of the restaurant was impressive, the food left me highly disappointed. I will never visit this establishment again
Be the first to ReplyOur favorite Mexican restaurant!
Some of the best Mexican food Iโve had in the US! This is one of our favorites, because itโs very vegetarian friendly, and they even have a vegetarian and vegan menu! I love their cheese enchiladas with tomatillo sauce! They also have vegetarian beans and white rice. The drinks are great as well and the staff is nice! The atmosphere is upscale.

So my wife and I love Mexican food, and decided for our last evening here in Vegas to eat at Javier's in the Aria Resort. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and the hostess was anything but friendly. Just, "do you have a reservation" and then, "you'll just need to wait a few minutes." No welcome. No smile. Not a great first impression. We waited about 10 minutes and now it is past our reservation time, when a different hostess asked if we were being helped. I said we had checked in and the hostess told us to wait. She looked at the booking and said we could be seated immediately. The restaurant wasn't crowded so I'm not sure why we had to wait initially. But our experience got better once seated. Our server was personable, really knew the menu, and was attentive to our needs the entire time. Our Casa Margaritas were EXCELLENT. I ordered the combo plate with chile relleno, beef taco, and chicken enchilada...with a side of rice and beans.....all three were well cooked and flavorful....really pleased with the food. My wife had the cheese quesadilla with guacamole...again, very flavorful and delicious And we were also given a bowl of chips and salsa...wonderful, wonderful salsa with just a little kick to it. With the exception of the greeting, we really enjoyed our experience at Javier's. We would definitely come again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat margaritas!
Please make reservations as this restaurant was busy at 4:00. We had a 4:30 reservation and I was impressed with the endless bowl of chips and salsa. Not many restaurants give complimentary chips and salsa. Our party of 3 ordered seafood entrees with lobster, crab and shrimp. The food was good, but the margaritas were outstanding. I perused the menu prior to our dinner and I remembered the prices, however, the prices were about $6.00 more for each entree. It was a bit of sticker shock when an entree of enchiladas is $50.00! Luiz gave us excellent service and we enjoyed our night out.
Be the first to ReplyAlways on point Excellent meal
I always have at least one meal at Javiers when in Vegas . Food and service are both excellent . Make a reservation as they are busy. Unlike some other reviews I did not find it overpriced . To each a differing opinion.
Be the first to ReplyIt wasn't horrible! Watch you bill.
We went as a bacheloreete party of 8 on a Friday night. The kitchen ervice was slow, but at least there was plenty of salsa and chips. No one felt their meal was anything special. We had issues with the bill. They had added a 20% tip and only one check. We calculated the cost at $75 each. One person gave cash, the balance was to be split between credit cards given. Each of our cards came back at $83. After trying to explain why they were correct twice even though we had calculators, they came back and corrected the charges to $75. This added another 20 minutes to our time there. Many felt like they might have thought we were overcharged because we were a large party of women, some of which had a few drinks. There were so many better places in the Aria and surrounding resorts. I cannot recommend this place at all.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced, fresh but boringly average food
Wonderful location, good service, fair wait times and great ambiance. But unfortunately the food is less than exciting. 4 people, 4 orders and nobody got anything that was worth going back for. Itโs good qualityโฆ but thatโs about it. Will not return.
Be the first to ReplyGood overpriced food
20 margarita 30 plate of California Mexican food. = $100 Service good Food pretty good Super loud and but neat ambience.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and drinks, avoid conference times
Dined during CES conference so restaurant was very busy and crowded. Although we had reservations, we had to wait 30 mins which could have been more if we didnโt speak to a manager. Food was good but pricey. Fresh and tasty homemade chips and salsa. 3 enchiladas entree and margaritas were good. Our server was attentive amidst the standing patrons and loud noise. The atmosphere was a bit hectic for casual conversations. So we ate and left quickly. Adjustments needed during peak times. Otherwise good food and margaritas.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Fine Mexican Dining Experience
Excellent service and attention to detail made our visit exceptionally memorable. We enjoyed different offerings but we all agreed the shrimp dishes are a must when visiting Javier's. Also, no matter the large serving of your meal, the homemade churros, and vanilla bean ice cream is something not to be missed.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food and great service
We went to Javier's on a Friday night. We made reservations and we got in right away. The staff was very friendly and prompt. They made suggestions since I had never dined there before. The ambiance is really cool. It's pretty dark and candle lit. There's a really intricate design of hand carved wood on the back wall which is neat to look at.
Be the first to ReplyAria/Javiers.
To be clear, my 2 star review is not for the Aria, but the restaurant "Javier's"..which is located within the Aria. The Aria is a wonderful hotel and Casino that I frequent at least 6-8 times a year and recommend it to all my friends a family. Javier's is a different story. The food is great but the Bartender service (I always eat at the Bar..easier to get a place on a crowded night) is disappointing and disrespectful. This is my first time writing a negative review, but after 3 separate incidents, I had to convey my experience. Bartenders are rude, condescending and difficult. I can appreciate and respect that anyone can have a bad night, but three different times is a pattern. It is a shame, because i really like the food.
Be the first to ReplyStandard Mexican Food
We were excited to try this restaurant. I really enjoy authentic Mexican food. I want to say that the service was great! It was quite dark inside, but the table was comfortably lit. It must be a man's type of restaurant as we were literally surrounded by tables of men. Hardly any women in there. Noisy way beyond my comfort zone. We literally had to shout at one another. Very difficult to hear one another! In terms of the menu, I had to search for something other than enchiladas and combinations that we could have had at a dozen other Mexican restaurants. We started off with cocktails. My friend ordered Mauvais Champagne. They brought Rotari. She did not like it. They were out of Mauvais. She ordered a Stoli martini. They were out of Stoli. She agreed to Grey Goose. I ordered Cote de Provence. Out! Ended up with Pinot Grigio. I ordered the scallops. She ordered a pasta dish, Fideo del Mar, (looked just like any other standard Italian pasta dish). We got our food so fast she had not even received her martini! My scallops were cooked beautifully! Served with a very dry clump of mashed potatoes (not pleasant) and asparagus, which was also cooked perfectly. We ordered coffee and dessert, tres leche cake. It was her birthday. The cake was amazing! Perfectly moist and sweet with little shards of chocolate in the layers. The perfect amount of moisture melting in your mouth yet holding its shape. This was far and above the best tres leche cake I had had in many years. The rest of the meal could have been found anywhere else. Nothing special.
Be the first to ReplyStaff very rude
We live in Vegas. I work at City Center, where restaurant is located. Been to Javier's several times and every time was worse and worse. This was the last time. I refuse to spend money in a place where some employee believes can be rude to someone who puts food on his family table. They rush you all the time, even if past week was a very slow one and they don't care about their customers AT ALL, since they are the busiest place on property. They rely on volume, so providing service doesn't matter, Next customer and hurry up! If everyone would stop tipping, I hope to see some change. But they also have high rollers fully comped that don't mind tipping couple of hundred, since everything else was paid for. I will just stop going there paying top dollar for a dish that otherwise is very cheap, and being abused by the waiters. Waiters. They probably never read their job discription. Or maybe they just couldn't. Period.
Be the first to ReplyNot Worth The Hype
Super crowded. Poor service and the food and drinks were so not worth the price. My husband had Fideo Del Mar and I had the Carnitas. We each had 2 Margarita. The drinks were tasty but very small in size. My husband meal had no flavor and mine was very dry. We left spending $200.00 and still hungry.
With so many restaurants in town skip this one.
Very disappointed
Booked reservations for 11:30 lunch on Christmas day months in advance. We had eaten here once before years ago and were excited to go again. A small line had formed before opening and we were inside in less than 10 minutes. Why the bad rating? I didn't appreciate hearing ghetto curse words filled music on Christmas day at 10,000 decibels. I'm not there to hear the word p***y when I'm paying for a $30 taco and enchilada plate. Not to mention the booth we were seated in right behind the bar was right by the bus boy's hang out and had to listen to their colorful conversations as well.
We ordered one app and a drink each and left before even finishing the drink. We will not be back
